i have asus b650e-e with 7950x3d. a lot of people don't seem to like them but i've had no issues. well at first my ethernet adapter would sometimes disconnect but it's been patched up now. msi or gigabyte maybe? personally i've had issues with gigabyte (not specifically on AM5) but nothing major. asrock is good too i think.

the whole exploding cpu thing when 7000 cpus came out was blamed mostly on Asus but i think other motherboards had the issue. there have been loads of BIOS updates since. i've been running my 7950X3D for just over a year now and it's not burned out or exploded lol.

just make sure the RAM is EXPO and ideally listed on the QVL list of your motherboard. even if it's not it probably will be fine if it's EXPO. i've tried using XMP in AMD builds and had problems but maybe that's just me.

incase you don't know EXPO is optimised for AMD and XMP is intel. RAM is RAM though so say you buy 6000 XMP ram it might not hit 6000 in an AMD system. you might need to run at say 5700. if you buy like 6400 xmp you could probably hit 6000 on AMD. if you buy XMP on AMD you might need to manually set freq/timings to find out what works.

i've never really bothered with messing about with RAM. i prefer just to select a profile and forget about it.

for AMD i don't think there's much point going beyond 6000 but maybe things have changed. i wouldn't spend money on anything above that with the current CPUs

what specific motherboard is it? RAM usually has a standard spec. i think DDR5 is 4800. my motherboard says it supports 4800-5200 and anything over that up to "8000+" is OC. if you buy say 6000 ram it should be fine but when you put it in it will run at 4800 and you need to "overclock" it by selecting an EXPO/XMP profile or manually overclocking it. if the ram is rated for 6000 it should run at that.

again check the QVL list of the motherboard and it should list specific ram kits that it supports. it will show frequencies too

Changing any setting in the bios took like 4-5 tries before it stuck, booting up took 4 minutes minimum (it was polling all the boot drives and learning the ram every time but disabling all extra boot drives sped it up) and I was having an issue where it wouldn’t boot if my displays were connected to my GPU so I had to unplug everything from my gpu, plug it into my on-board graphics to boot it up, then swap everything back over to the gpu one I was on the Home Screen

I did but back during windows Vista, when the desktop had a problem due to ransomware my desktop got shipped back to HP where they fixed it under Warrenty. I still use my hp monitor that came with it even though it was made in 2009

You should look into SimpleLogin and email aliasing. Allows you to use a different email for every single thing you sign up for and have it all route back to one email account.

And of course, use Bitwarden with 2FA enabled on it. Either Aegis or Ente.

Yeah, it doesn't take too long. They probably also have some sort of script/bot that they run in order to do that

Also, if you aren't able to pay for things like Proton and SimpleLogin, at least use multiple Gmail accounts. Before I switched over, I had 5 different ones that I used for different things in order to protect myself against a potential compromise.

Or multiple Outlook accounts, though that's not as seamless.
