whatever you can do on kali you can do on any other distro. start by learning basic stuff like installing software and navigating through your filesystem using cli. you dont need majority of the stuff thats on kali. if you have the drive space, you can start by actually installing a beginner friendly distro (ubuntu and derivatives like kubuntu, same distro with different desktop environment or manjaro or linux mint) and get a dual boot setup where you can have windows and linux installed. by this way, you can select which OS to go into when your pc is booting up so you dont have to deal with shitty fucking usb drive boot

first set your goal to get a healthy, stable system, then dive deeper

So I’m building a PC and what I want to do is get a cheap GPU (like sub-$150 or so cheap) rn and then buy a better, more expensive GPU at Black Friday, and I have 2 questions:

1. Are Black Friday sales good enough to make it worth doing something like this?
2. If yes, what’s the best sub-$150 (or so) GPU?

Unfortunately using the iGPU and saving the $150 until Black Friday isn’t an option because I do 4K video editing and it’s painful on an iGPU (I’ve tried). Although that could just be because it’s an older 11th gen i5 laptop iGPU, what are your experiences with something like a 13600K iGPU?

And I know a sub-$150 GPU isn’t ideal for 4K video editing, but I’ve used a GTX 1060 and it’s worked fine (sadly it wasn’t my PC).

EDIT: Two options are an Arc A380 for $110 and a RX 6500 XT for $140, would either of those be good?

And whenever any app uses the AirPods Pro Hands-Free's microphone (even just enumerate audio devices), AirPods Pro's output device goes silent
