I got into an argument with some idiot earlier where he was trying to make a case for aios and went with the dumbest thing I have ever heard, his question was how are you going to cool a 13900k in a $2100 PC

And he was acting like he had some sort of infallible argument and I was like well in a 2,100 build I wouldn't buy a 13900k, and even if I did I would use a high-end air cooler and a contact frame not an AIO because aios are very unreliable and the performance isn't even that much better unless you have like a 360 or 480 Mill

And if you have some 240 or 360s it could be worse than a high end air cooler

There's only one situation I can think of where you would realistically have an AIO as your best option, and that would be if you're doing some ultra small form factor system and a 120 mil rad or 240 mil rad on the side in some weird configuration is the best possible cooling you can get and still fit

I get that people go with all-in-one coolers for a reason, but generally that reason is they are easier to install and have pretty RGB

In almost every scenario it's more practical to go with a high-end air cooler, and if you are at the point where an air cooler isn't going to be able to cool enough, you are honestly better off with custom water cooling

firmware yeah, just plug the battery back in after you finish flashing coreboot; that's what i did

so far everything except keyboard backlighting works in manjaro

but i can live with that

it is certainly running on battery

after dev mode and stuff is enabled you have to connect to wifi and then use control alt f2 in order to get to the root capable shell and actually download the coreboot firmware

there is obviously a risk of bricking your device if you interrupt or unplug it so be careful

And nvidias i always seen crash and the entire driver they write it to just restart. amds are cheaper and honestly i noticed that at least my recent card has its drivers usually not care if something glitches out. So game keeps running. Ive seen textures turn into other textures or data of some sort. So it loaded into vram over it or somehow mapped the wrong thing in different place. Then I had a video decoding or two, one encoding and msfs running at the same time. I think i was testing a memory oc too

So msfs got these squares on display and slowly started spreading. I couldnt even switch video mode or alt tab to get rid of it. But the game still ran. If it was overclock unstable when doing all that at once, that would be really impressive still. Vram oc unstable and didnt just black out and freeze

So you hang up entirely down to kernel. Sound freezes, everything. The question is can they handle it with at least bsod? And does linux already get to at least the same thing which is kernel panic? Its actually the same exact problem as multithreading. Today you often compile that calls something no further than the kernel at runtime telling it to run any code parallel from that point. It might be running on separate core or nor. You care exactly zero percent

Then execute. End of the day youre integrating substep events into one time peripd (length is equal to fixed step time)... but technically you order and even compensate by reordering again because irl they occurred at different times between major tick

The only information left is enough to just average them by considering them as equally spaced. So averaging. In the end, you have no reason to actually perform substeps together both with some way to keep the real time frame or average if you need a good guess. If your intrgrating for one delta frame to client or somehow only sending the major ticks, you just execute that order asap and wait for next fixed timestep. So yeah i dont get it. Maybe if you have some linear function i guess of bullets trajectory you could integrate a players motion to intersect it along with test for some portion of frame
