Its cheap until you have DDR3 ecc servers that suck up 150w~ idling, that are cheap upfront. Or you spend more to get DDR4 ECC servers to save a bit on power but end up realizing that you might as well just bought a chassis with a SAS breakout board and just put a commodity AMD system in it as it'll perform the same and long term cost the same. Plus better resale since the consumer parts will be way easier to sell.

I think the most seamless installation experiences I've had so far are... Well, I guess on Zorin and Solus somewhat?
Mostly because they just had everything tied down and any extras that needed command line was actually less painless than I'd sometimes make it out to be.
Though they gave me the least hassle, while everything else... Weird.
In fact, some of most annoying installation experiences tends to be on Windows, even more than on Mac OS, and then some distros like Manjaro, GhostBSD, and LXLE proved annoying in some ways.
