Hell last I knew the Windows build system wasn't even Azure based. It's 100% an in house solution with anywhere from 150 to 300 different flavors of Windows built nightly depending on the release cycle stage. The full Windows builds take 12+ hours.

And I don't mean to imply I had code on my PERSONAL system. Rather, I had an 8700k company supplied workstation on the Azure AD. I had MSFT VPN access and pulled code down. This initially happened due to covid, but people who are below I think it is 60% of time in the office now don't get an office and can have company provided hardware (workstations, monitors etc) at home.

Today testers are all either converted to developers or fired.

I get WHY they did it. Cut down on context menus full of Peazip, winrar, 7zip, onedrive etc. The menu would be as tall as the monitor.

But the fix was simpler - include the tool to edit entries in the context menus instead of it being in systernals
