Honestly VPNs should only be used for circumventing annoying P2P restrictions such as in the USA, geo-restrictions and securing connections via public wifi internet.

Anything else is either null or so little that it barely does anything. It won't mask your digital signature/fingerprint because you're just gonna login to the same services and whatnot.

Also no VPN is 'guaranteed' because literally everyone and anyone is biased about this subject. I can only say, you should try them out yourself. There's free trials on more popular VPN services. Use them.
