hmmn... the M1 ultra really is a genuinely impressive processor... 60w and it crushes zen+ threadrippers with 3x as many threads and 5x the power draw, and then theres the m2 and m3 after that which have only improved things. its not just "ARM" that contributes to that, its genuinely impressive how they designed it and got it to extract so much computation from so little power

I use an app called wifi analyzer to rule out things like wifi dead spots or channel interference. (Sometimes neighbour's wifi can make a big impact)

Is this a MOBO on board wifi card or an external/pcie one? If pcie or external swap the cards between computers and see if problem persists. Otherwise you could try one of the gigabit Amazon cards from UBIT for 30$. These cards are what I buy for all my PC's and they're adequately fast.
