I fried my laptop with an ESP32 because the microcontroller was shorted by a voltage sensor component. Either 3v or 9v passed through the USB port and killed it.

never had a problem with the active line of phones. my s8 only got replaced cause it's at the bottom of lake lanier, and I think it would be nutso to pay for the gear to dive 1017 feet to the bottom 🙂
