I had to fight between AIO (Where water cooling would give me anxiety even if its basic closed loop), or Fan cooling this 12900k, I opted for cheaper Deepcool AK620, where ill switch it to a different one if needed or AIO if any thermal issues arise. But, so far so good with the Deepcool AK620. Got it for $52 at Microcenter during Black friday. I think it does dependent on the CPU and anticipated heat dissipation you are expecting to run into. Although, I did use higher quality thermal grizzly paste instead of the one that came with the Deepcool AK620 so that helped a lot.
