Been a while since I've done this myself but have you tried to load up a live Linux thing off a USB and use its disk management to see if Linux sees other parts of the SSDs partitions so you can format it from there?

I haven't. My conclusion was that faulty case had transferred junk and corrupt the disk.

Might be worth a try, maybe Windows has other ways to do it but I never found a way, Linux saw areas in a drive that Windows would not and I was able to get full access to the whole drive again by fixing it over there and coming back to Windows to use it.

for city slickers (and maybe non dakotan farmers for all i know?) that's 2 parts feild, 2 parts pasture, 1 part housing/stables/shelter belt/woodlands.
