quick estimate from a random egpu pcb i found online. There's ones that use cheaper power components. The two most expensive parts are the TB IC and the pcie connector. PCB cost is cheap, PCBA is cheap. This is also the price to not make it in bulk. Bulk would drop PCB(A) cost even more as well as the rest of the BOM.

I’d be down to design and test a board to get a proper BOM, I wouldn’t be able to start that project anytime soon though. Also the cost is assuming a 4L PCB, 6L would add $5-8 more (depending on size)
