SATA is actually one of the easiest things to use extensions on: Most sata devices are fairly low power draw

Put some hot glue on it, will dry fairly plyable and insulate.

and most of them are molex to sata, which is even worse since both of my molex cables are used to power a hdd backplane for 8 drives

i would not recommend buying this drive but if you already have then it would be wise to use a heatsink
