Almost as if there are 3 states of matter or something
Gas, liquid, solid, plasma
Or is plasma not matter?
Which was?
there's not only 4 if you want to get technical but 4 is fine for 8th grade science class
Liquid nitrogen is just nitrogen (a gas at room temperatures) that has been cooled into a liquid, (really cold)
Yes, that’s why it hurts when you get it in the skin
I'm going to go slam my head against a wall for a bit and come back later.
Ok have fun
leave some wall for me I'll need it later
I'm inside your walls
ill be honest, of all the jokes i expected to start shit, liquid nitrogen was not the joke i thought would do it
all comes out my ass
ahh, someone had taco bell
what program should i use to emulate android thats not bluestacks?
on win 10
bluestacks lol
i refuse to install bluestacks
why kek
if i wantes to install spyware i would've installed ccleaner
sounds like you're in the market for an android phone
also
doesnt want spyware
runs windows
i dual boot atlas os alongside arch
Nice
Come back when you have 69420
Nah its one day only
"I don't want spyware"
is on discord
I love being watched 24/7 really calming 😊
holy hell
my steelseries headset is shit
the piece holding the ear cup is broken and I hear out of the right side only
Its bluetooth too so there must be a loose wire
Holy hell. Sounds like you broke it?
Actually it came damaged and I didn't get a reciept because best buy hires the worst workers
It came with a small crack when I purchased it who knows how many years ago
I just put it on and now the right speaker doesn't work
Will 850 be enough if I want to upgrade to 5000 series card I wonder
When they come
In liek a year or so
Sounds like it could be a broken wire inside. If you're handy with a soldering iron, it should be an easy fix
Issue is I don't know how to open it
How do yall feel about zotac 3080 tis?
Ive heard mixed things about zotac so i wanna make sure before i pull the trigger
I heard zotac 30 series tend to run hot but have nothing to back it up so
New server?
Probably some hidden screws or might be clipped together. Look online for takeapart photos or video
Thats fair, their cooler design seems to be smaller than alot of other ones ive seen
too old lol
i hope u have a custom rom for ur phone
i am scrapping it
i think their vram cooling is dog?
No clue
Just put stick-on heatsinks on them and it's much better anyway.. and that's only a few $ on amazon
Lol my 12 year old hdd finally decided it was time
oh my god
Never would have guessed that would be the longest lasting part
the other ear cup has another type of weird screw
Oh my 🍞
“You are the product”
Rtx 5050ti, take it or leave it

Seriously though i hope nvidia lowers their pricing
That's a funny joke lol
i mean the question is, why would they]
Who?
they saw it coming so they preraised their prices to be equivalent
Inflation? What inflation?
that’s called price gouging
Or at the very least predatory opportunism
isn't that just capitalism?
No that’s greed capitalism doesn’t necessarily need to involve greed
😬
any company claiming to be raising prices due to “inflation” translate inflation to “wanting higher profit margins”
they didn't claim that
I was making a joke
every company raises prices when demand is there
and anyone concerned about “the economy” translate economy to “rich people yacht money”
I would also say that anyone focused on the stock market as any measure of anything is out of their minds because stock market is basically a rich person’s casino
You're taking this too seriously bud
Nvidia raised prices because they want money. End of story
capitalism is built on greed
Capitalism is a system of goods and services and currency.
Communism is a series of policies. It is not an economic system.
the key in capitalism is profit.
Commuism doesn't need an "economy" the way you see it now
true communism doesn't have a currency
The key in capitalism is not profit. In fact, I would call profit a sign of inefficiency
currency can exist in a communist society, believe it or not
Thanks for the Mansplaining
then what IS the key?
The key to capitalism is a sustainable business model. The problem we have is that people keep trying to push unsustainable business models.
Modern day capitalism does not seem to prioritize sustainability
those are communist dictatorships, yes there's currency but it's still far more limited than capitalism. True communism doesn't have currency because everyone gets the same thing
Profit is at least inefficiency and at worse theft.
sustainable business model
- Oil
- Lithium mining?
- Child labour
Operagx
Well I'm done with corsair
Those are not sustainable
Oh wow
Negative externalities are a major issue
what brand of shoes do you wear
i read child labour
@indigo plume their ship has sailed?
Hospitals... oh dear
I wonder what all of these have in common
Revenue != profit
nono do you not notice something
revenue is not profit
And what source is this
im suprised Gacha Games arent #1
it's that the top 4 are all medical
but top revenue just happens to be some really profitable indusstries
well that too
they overcharge a fuck ton in order to get so much profit and revenue because usually they're negotiating with insurance companies
the insurance companies try to negotiate hospitals as low as possible so the hospitals start with a comically high overcharge price
and insurance companies are trying not to pay out
Tech companies dominated the rankings of the most profitable U.S. firms in 2021, making up half of the top 10.
the big issue is that they'll charge individuals that same overcharge price too, and most people don't know that they should try to haggle it down
it's a predatory as fuck system
The more I learn about American Healthcare the more fucked it is
With most companies nowadays, one of the primary issues, is that the people who do the most work get paid the least. I would absolutely love to see a company function without their core employees.
it is utterly fucked; it is a completely for profit industry
This is interesting
It’s not healthcare.
Healthcare doesnt even hit top 10 in profit
companies versus industries
That one was industry
I just saw one of the most hilarious things yet today
On multiple levels. Hospitals, insurance, pharmacies, etc. All with legislation that supports them like making it illegal for hospitals to be physician owned.
It's wild.
🍞
We live in a socialist society but corporations are the citizens.
Crackers being referred to as “plant based snacks”. As if wheat is not a plant or something in other snack foods and potato chips? definitely have no potato in them.
United States be like
that's really weird
Yes, it is weird
who the fuck 😭
chocolate covered wafers are also plant-based so again just so strange.

But that’s marketing
Bred
It says plant-based, so it must be better than the crackers that aren’t plant-based
I'm not well versed into the USA economy, but wasn't there this thing about Healthcare reportedly "investing" money into places that wasn't really benefitting the users, and that everyone who needs it relies on the insurance companies?
meanwhile the insurance companies don't want to pay out, so they pocket the cash
BRB going to try and find some plant-based paper
which would be dairy free chocolate? so it's just dark chocolate?
You can use an HSA as an investment account
@long briar Cacao = plant
chocolate isn't just cacao
Yes, I’m aware
Oh so that's dark chocolate
Lol, it's wild. So there's things called prior authorizations, closed internal metrics, drug companies paying insurance companies to only authorize their drug over competitors...
yea if it's saying plant based chocolate, either it's plant based because the dairy fat inside of them isn't the main part of it, or it's dark chocolate
No, you’re not understanding
The wafer is made from either rice or wheat flour, and the chocolate comes from the cacao plant. The whole thing is “plant-based” 🤣
I PAY TWICE FOR INSURANCE, it's absolutely fucking absurd
yikes... I'm canadian so it's rather different
For me anyways we don't pay much less than y'all for insurance
but we also can trust that we will have the costs covered when we need it
ie not spending hundreds to ride an ambulance
Well, health insurance out of pocket is like $600/month
And goes up from there, and that's with a high deductible.
It’s weird that they call it “health insurance” because eventually you’re going to need some sort of medical care. It’s just a fact of living
Just people trying to exploit others for money, a tale as old as time.
The entire supposed healthcare insurance industry shouldn’t even exist
yea it's milk chocolate and chocolate without milk and whatever percentage is in between. 50-70% dark chocolate is pretty awesome
The double dipping scum getting our tax money and our normal money
Imagine how many stubby screwdrivers you could buy by not having to pay for healthcare insurance
well
it's really no better elsewhere
actually in China it's a fair bit better but that's a whole different issue
it's way better elsewhere
Id rather live" in the woods
👀
in Canada you're also paying through your taxes (they also don't have a dedicated tax for this)
Well, have fun in the woods man
My asthma medication they billed me $50 for costs $4 in other countries.
I'll make my own internet
That's after insurance
@lilac bear will it be a series of tubes?
Just be born with healthy lungs
And that's just one example that's related to me, which is wild because I don't even have that serious of medical issues.
I was the military fucked them up lmao
my younger brother had to stay in a hospital twice because of aesthma attacks. We never got cucked by costs
Military more like fatal *** measuring club.
they paid for (and still pay for) school so who knows ¯_(ツ)_/¯
glorified meat grinder
I wouldn't have been able to do school without them
I have a deadly latex allergy so I can't join or be drafted
check your privilege and be grateful that you're ok now, it can change at any moment
that said
ever thought of wearing masks?
That’s why the idea of health insurance is ridiculous
indeeeeeeeeed
my health insurance plan is one where people who don’t need money make profits and I get very low quality medical care. 🫠
I have other health issues like severe deadly allergies and high cholesterol and thyroid problems
Any mods I can speak with
<@&750150305383186585> you there?
me
Can I do it in dm?
…
....
you can message the warship
It’s personal matter
Will that be mod mail?
slurrrrrrrp
@neon cedar they aren’t a moderator
if it's somethinig that happened in DMs, deal with it yourself. The mods here are mods here not your own life
I was just being silly
lol
Ik I just need to speak with them
Will warship do modmail?
No
Dam
Idk they have a mod role
Real
Looks real
Sigh
yea... I'm fortunate enough to generally be pretty healthy. I'm 5'7, but I'm naturally muscular and have a high metabolism because of it... but I realize that at any moment I could lose it all to literally anything

Free Healthcare is pog
@long briar -looks at pandemic stats- 😬
I'll trade you some height for some of your high metabolism I'm 5"11
nah I'm content with being able to wear both medium and small clothes
but yea I didn't realize how well off I am right now until a bunch of people started asking me if I went to the gym (I don't)because of how I look
-196 cm noises-
I'd have to look up to see your face... I'm 171
But I want to be comfy in economy seats on planes you sure you don't want to trade?
for some reason, Airplane seats aren’t really a problem for me
Usually, it’s the backseat of automobiles that are a problem
lool I took economy like a month ago, I had my backpack in the footwell and I was perfectly fine hahaha
Taller torso?
buses are also fine for me
no, but airplanes have pretty decent headroom, unlike the back of some cars plus I’m not a little kid which the back of some cars is clearly designed to be occupied by
Buses are weird for me. I usually just bike where I need to go.
there's actually a row of seats in some of the public transit buses here which are elevated somewhat... and my feet dangle off the seat if I sit all the way back cause my legs aren't long enough
Leg in seat
I usually just stand on the bus.
My 2004 Hyundai accent was a problem for me no adjustable wheel so I had to man spread to drive
lol
Oh my gosh, those things are death traps. I’m glad you got rid of it
It died on its own
literally everyone I’ve ever heard of, that’s been in a crash in one of those things had to write off the damn car
here's a picture of my shoes dangling
usually some sort of intrusion into the cabin along the floor as well
Should I try and offer £45 for ryzen 5 3600 instead of the £55 someone is selling it at?
always do, worst they can say is no which you just say ok
For free?
Aka. The biggest anime plot twist
I upgraded to a 1994 Oldsmobile cutlass, with super thin pillars great for visibility but I don't think I will survive a roll over
well it's my crusty crusty shoes which hurt to wear... and it's just me showing how my feet can't touch the ground if I sit in the chair properly
Oof
Mhm.

Anyone know an encoder or cipher that uses 5 characters per character and is related to fibbinachi
Gaming
I somehow cut myself with a ruler in class today
Probably the metal side
Me n my friends were playing with my ruler cause it’s super bendy and we were just flinging things around cause it was just us in the room and eventually I was like “why is there red on the ruler” and my friend said it was bloody so I looked at my finger and there was so much blood
Do you like bus stuff?
I got in trouble with my dorm 🥹
?
I showed up late and I got screamed at
Haha that’s dumb
Everyone has to be home at 10pm and I showed up at 11:48pm
Yeah and im getting a youtube strike for it potentially aka 3 warnings and I'm out
Well It would be the first
Hopefully the guard has dementia and forgets

lay down like all the other Hyundai accident owners do
i couldn't imagine standing for 16 hrs a day! (4hr on bus each way) instead i drive 40 minutes to work.
A 1080ti with a therad ripper?
What drugs were you on when this abomination was created
I remember one time when I was like 12 my brother was talking ab how generous he is cause he would give homeless people money and I didn’t which ended with me giving someone like $50 js to show that I was generous but since I was 12 $50 was a lot so I spent like a lot of my money just to prove my brother wrong
its an old threadripper
they prob released at the same time lmao
yup same year
Maybe even less since the mobo is like as expansive as the cpu prolly
maybe he needed one
What price is it?
idk
Intel way more efficient
Meh arguable
since when
Since ryzen 3000 came out amd has been more efficient
prob a troll, wouldnt bother arguing
Tbh 1000 and 2000 series kinda threw blows at intel but were cheaper
Meh fair
Totally unrelated to the topic but nice pfp
Thamk
Anyone wanna hear a funny story

Maddison made LTT go bankrupt from the law suits
Wat
He's just trolling
you must love that 1080 ti
no good "80 class" upgrades for $699
so... the state I live in doesn't have any name laws. anything flies.
welp.
"Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis Hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia (insert last name)" is such a beautiful name.
hm...
I prefer "First Middle Last (insert last name)" a tad bit more.
4070ti on sale
went from 580 to an intern 760 to a 1080TI
he likes the number 80
Muh 80
current name vs correct (proper) naming
4090=4080ti
4080 ti=4080
4080=4070
4070=4060
4060=4050 (ti?)
(4080 ti doesnt exist)
so 4090 for $699 is what i am looking for
because 4090 is not a titan
You're delusional you should be looking for a therapist not a new gpu
i had a whoel ass rant a month ago about this
a titan 40 series is 48GB should cost $1283 inflation adjusted...
Titian Z (2x full 48gb dies) at $3850
titan at $1283 for 48GB full die
4090 at $897
4080 at $832
4070 at $511
4060 at $319
exactly as it should be funny how that works.
no SLI to hurt 80 sales with no dual 60's anymore either```
Titian Z
you have to combine my 2 large comments
Titian
Titian
Nvidia titian
I love me some Tit Ians
I'm aware. I just don't like being ripped off. the have PLENTY of cash flowing around. the are charging what they are because they feel like they can get away with it.
Like the Aston Martin Rapide pricing
battle mage is when ill finally cave and buy something. my GDDR5X is dying lol
Guess I’m not buying it.
Bread
Same lol
Like some shitty photoshop is more like human than some weird algorithm used to make images.
yeah and at least the photoshop one was at least like, the person put some effort into it
but with AI it's a lot more of the same effort to make a discord message
Literally
terrible photoshops are funny
Shutup. I'm not crying, you're crying
And then because of it's randomness, if something needs to be fixed, but you don't want it try doing it over all over again if some of the results are more favored, you'd still have to go back through and edit stuff manually anyway.
ive done both a lot of photoshop and video editing as well as ai stuff
people who think its just "hit button get image" are hilarious kek
Yeah, it's really not.
they're both tools
you shouldnt be upset at the fact that it exists you should be upset at what its trained on
Even AI interpolation is no easy going matter either.
Yes.
Honestly, after doing some little animations with DAIN and RIFE, I can say that trying to go back through stuff to see what works and trying to adapt around it is... Kind of a weird experience.
It really feels like you're just trying to give it a better reference of what to do just by redrawing freehanded some of the frames it may have attempted to smooth things out.
And then it may still not anyway.
And of course, that's just DAIN. RIFE is outright worse because it also axes keyframes, even when you tell it not to, so the motion vectors or various details are completely missing and the animation ends up worse than it should be.
Though that's just my experience and others probably have figured out how to make it work. I dunno.
okay. game is unique. soooo 🤷♀️
yeah. i pray Arc B is good enough until prices fall back to earth.
most people dont have 130 HRS pay for a damn GPU when rent is ~180hr monthly.
I want to grab an old framework motherboard and make a nucdeck
Arc, Overhyped. i cant see it any other way.
i'd rather be wrong about Battlemage being shit than battlemage being good
Intel still has room to improve, and their literal first try on modern graphics architecture did decent
it seems people believe Battlemage will improve drivers just as much as Alchemist did. and that's idiotic. yeah, it will absolutely have driver improvements. but the drivers are already this good and improved this much. there's not much more to Squeeze out.
There is, like arc's current performance (A770) is supposed to match 3070
Battlemage needs to be good
The one thing we shouldn't expect is the drivers to be great right out the gate, honestly.
And i mean, we gave AMD shit tom of chances over the decade
I may as well just give up on PC gaming if battlemage is bad
We should instead expect them to be release, be somewhat okay with hiccups here and there, and then overtime, they... Pull an AMD with driver support, just more consistent.
I'd much prefer they pull an nvidia
I personally also felt my 6600xt was less stable than my 3060
AMD's been faster to address drivers for RDNA3 so far from what I've noticed.
thats' up to you but i'd say its kinda dumb to do that, esp with Radeon shaping up to be intresting in RDNA 4 and 5
We've been getting updates in shorter time than they're usually able to churn them out from all I've heard.
That's what we said about rdna1 and 2 and 3
AMD is always gonna do the "nvidia but worse then give slight discount"
And from what I've heard, they take nearly half a year or so originally.
There will always be Radeon hype, and so far Radeon has never delivered
They've been tailgating nv for ages
Now they're managing month after month to get updates pushed out.
Vega lmao
I probably won't buy into rdna4
I'll probably get rdna5 flagship
I just bought a 7900xtx
And I have a 7900XT.
Either I pull the trigger on a 3080 or wait until 5000 series and used 4000 series drop
I can afford to wait even longer, especially because mine came later in the cycle.
new driver rev cool
They know what they should be doing. and if Nvidia is really digging deep into this Douchebag "Natve rendering is fake crap" attitude they have an easy few generations to take over.
Nvidia is both leaning into AI rendering and shitting on AMD performance wise
Nvidia basically laid down, easy to beat the fuck out this generation
And AMD instead of stomping, laid next to nvidia
its just Arc that might be a problem for em
The current one has actually managed to finally fix the high idle power draw for multi-monitor setups.
My 7900XT now sits at about under 50w idle with temps so low it's virtually silent.
Fans literally don't spin, while the hotspot is about between 45 and 50C.
Also, don't forget Nvidia "bet the farm on AI".
Plus the report out of their gaming division about where the funding has really been going to prove that.
Nvidia has bet the farm on ai for the past twenty years
Which is funny because AMD also has been coming up with solutions that are also quite lucrative in the AI space.
DLSS needs to be a driver level technology before it will really be the powerhouse they want imo
And even Intel is being considered by potential customers.
Amd is hardly going to start outcompeting Nvidia now that nvidia's investment into dominating the ai space has started to pay off
DSR
I never heard of them doing so until things started taking off closer to now.
The main problem is that nvidia's real money is from enterprise consumers
Amd couldn't touch Nvidia for the past twenty years, you think they're going to beat Nvidia with crypto and ai money now?
welp another WT leak...this time on the AH-64D Apache though mostly technical manuals lol
We already have driver-level upscaler and they tend to suck because it's not tuned to the game
AI wasn't very big far back around the 2010s to my knowledge.
They can completely ignore the normal consumers so long as they're the best option in enterprise
Nvidia dominates in ai because they've been investing heavily in it for years and years
Yeah, for the same reason as the consumer space.
And only now do because Google, who dominated before them, apparently is still a no-show for anything new.
People can say that they're going to buy amd or Intel for ai
That's nice
Where are you getting engineers who have experience with it
What software are you using
How's the compatability with existing infrastructure
ew, AI
It turns out that when one company has been the only game in town for like, twenty years
It's not that easy to switch
If you're a hobbyist who have the time cool.
But tinkering with AMD/Intel for AI is man-hours down the drain
For big companies
Yeah, it's no accident that you could play with machine learning on cheap Nvidia gaming gpus
Who the hell even in the datacenter space wants to pay the ridiculous sums, in the middle of prosumer gpu shortage there, that Nvidia's asking?
Only the deepest pockets back in the crypto craze could afford tons of gpu pallets. In AI space, there's fewer contenders for that.
Everyone lmao
they really never care for the hand that feeds
Where do you think all those a100s are going
No. Only the biggest can afford or want to justify it.
datacenters
OpenAI and Microsoft.
As in those sort of companies.
With those kinds of deep pockets.
Yes, and data centers rent out GPU time to other companies?
The rest of the AI companies and startups who want to have their own stuff have been turning to AMD and Intel apparently.
Almost nobody actually runs their ai shit on their own hardware
You just find a datacenter that has the hardware
Yall is risking $50 for a ‘broken’ gtx 1080 ti worth it?
Wrong, there's a reason MS Azure and others
If there's someone who can't afford the man-hours dealing with AMD/Intel problems it's the small guys
When faced with obstacles and no other way forwards, if they want it enough, they'll do whatever it takes to make it work.
Just like the open source world, which most of that is anyway.
And renting H100s happen to be cheaper
Yes, meanwhile the companies that can hire top tier engineers and afford to use the best hardware and software are... doing that
IF they aren't already reserved by others competing for the same resources.
Nvidia was just there first. not making the most sense
Nvidia was and in many ways still is the only one that makes sense
no. not true. AMDs stuff is damn good.
Google was there first, then went nearly radio silent. So Nvidia took over the field and held onto the market for the longest time.
No it's not lmao
so far I haven't found anything that rivals Droidcam OBS in terms of stream quality
except maybe IP Webcam but that requires ipv6 to get any decent FPS
Do you think corporations like nvidia
Raw compute is not the only factor
Do you think some Microsoft accountant is out there running the numbers and going "gee, I love team green, amd killed my dog"
that's the vibe nvidia fanboys give off
Yep if there's someone with zero brand loyalty that's corporations
Look at intel server space going down
If it makes sense, they'll take
Yes, major tech companies are famously Nvidia fanboys

they love nvidia
team stinky green
AMD has a better chance at carving more of niche in that market than taking it from Nvidia though. That's one thing keeping them down.
The other one is that also there are companies like Tesla, Amazon, and recently even Microsoft who have also been trying to make their own AI chips for their own specific applications too, so it all depends on who AMD, let alone Intel can even get for a customer to make stuff for.
Chiplets allow companies to pick and choose what they need and performance goes hella crazy, no clue what shit you're smokin but this is genuine good hardware
Chiplets fucked rnda3 lmao
Maybe they'll be good later
But now is maybe not the best time to talk about Radeon chiplets
we aren't talking consumer
Yes, because radeon's computer has been so incredibly successful
this is XDNA
Remember uh
All those successful instinct products
CDNA might work out, but there's still time needed before that yields anymore substantial results.
Oh.
Ooohhh okay, now that is actually kinda neat.
adorable
Anyways
Please battlemage
You're my only hope
I hope arc battlemage is good; I'll probably buy one if they are
I'm not holding my breath for next gen from everything and everyone honestly.
Unless they wow me, I think I'm serviced well as is.
based
I just like having more tech to play with
realistically I don't need more than my 6600 xt right now
My 7900XT is actually more than I even considered getting too.
I was aiming originally for the 7700XT or 7800XT.
gentlemen, it is with great pleasure that i inform you that i got a graphics card for my rig and a new psu.
But I have no regrets with what I got.
my little cousin who doesn't play shit except people playground and clone drone in the danger zone has a 7900 xt
B o i
all we need is Nvidia being embarrassed by choosing to focus on DLSS instead of actual performance.
it's my fault; he had me spec out his build and I fit the best hardware I could in his budget
Lol.
What the fuck are you talking about
The performance delta between AMD and Nvidia is bigger this gen than last gen
I didn't do that to my little brother at least.
I had him stay within reason of what he could afford.
and i 100% completed Psychonauts on pc, something 8 year old me tried and failed.
6900xt was actually more or less parity with 3090 in raster
He asked me for guidance on what prebuilt to get, I decided that i'd make a part list and build it for him as his birthday gift since I didn't have money to actually give him anything
Now we're getting rumors that amd isn't even going to try a flagship next gen
Does that sound like amd is catching up to you
Because they're playing the smart route, which they figured out after releasing RDNA3.
Said smart route that Intel succeeded on and Nvidia just... Doesn't care about.
The smart route of abandoning the high end market again, which they tried for three and a half generations straight?
The smart route of actually making something the majority of buyers actually want.
the high end market really is smaller than most people think
Except they haven't
Adoption numbers are godawful
It really is, yes.
are you keeping up with the commodore? cause the commodore is keeping up with you!
not having N41 doesn't sound the best sure, but we don't know shit about how it all performs so people should be holding off calling it a DOA generation.
Given how Radeon has performed the past decade, I'm not holding my breath
and its all going to focus on RDNA 5 Anyway.
Like, normally rumors of Radeon are that they're finally gonna catch up to nvidia
So now rumors are that they won't even do that
Bruh
Not even the rumors are saying that they'll succeed this time
So
Like
They're probably fucked, then
guys is risking $50 aud for a ‘broken’ gtx 1080 ti worth it?
depends but probably not
i just told you to to hold off on the "DOA Generation" bias. do you not listen?
How much are you willing to negotiate for it?
it depends on how it's broken and if it looks like it has been worked on before
No, but there's also chance Nvidia's risk could end with them screwing themselves over again.
Will that happen? We don't know, since the AI space is way more unpredictable than the crypto space.
it's not as simple as the price
There is literally no telling at all where that part of the industry will go.
it could be a far better outcome than your bias will allow you to see. and well. Performance isn't something that has to be a focus on high end.
going down to focus on a mid range and low end battle while letting your next move cook is a valid strategy
What risk
Nvidia has been advancing graphics tech just fine
Even if the ai bubble bursts, their graphics tech is still currently superior to anything else in the market
looking at how things are right now; I honestly can't say buying a PC is even worth it if you just want to play games
because the ports have been so bad that even the highest end hardware gets you a stuttery poor experience
Its listed as not sure, might be the pcb
what do you think, worth it?
I'd need to see pictures to answer that
Yeah, and as far as this generation in consumer space goes, they also screwed things up enough to where they almost saw their sales slow to stand still, even on their last gen products.
theres a lot more to playing games than just todays hot releases.
I'm talking about just new games specifically
the prices on new hardware are just so high for such poor value and such a poor experience it's crazy
yes but they specifically don't make it "not worth getting into PC Gaming"
And then made all their partners nearly lose it with them, while also losing one of their major partners at the same time (EVGA).
That doesn't say AMD or Intel have it better, though it also doesn't mean Nvidia's exactly scott free either this time around.
its always been worth getting into PC Gaming. PCs play everything.
I didn't say it wasn't worth getting into pc gaming, I said it's not worth buying a PC right now if you just want to play games
specifically right now
This would normally be something they can shrug off and everyone would forget about with other times they had issues like that, but after EVGA quit and the fiasco with the 40 series launch, they can't pull stupid crap all over again while in the middle of putting all their eggs into one basket.
you still have a backlog of 40 years of games for the platform, including every console version and exclusive title from before current gen.
hell, even other computer systems.
Apple I, Apple II, Macintosh, Powermac, PET, Vic 20, Commodore 64, Amiga, Atari ST. theres a fuckload of ports and versions of games to throw at a PC.
Yeah, mostly because rock bottom pricing was a month and half ago. Lol.
literally never not worth throwing money at a PC And playing literally whatever you want to
and for the majority you don't need to throw 1600 dollars at an Unjustifiable 4090.
The 4070ti has outsold every single rdna3 card
Like
Again
Radeon is not having a good time
This is Steam's hardware survey.
If you think you need a 4090 to play a game, you might think you need a Ferrari to hop down to the corner store to get eggs & bubble gum.
The bestselling rdna3 card is the xtx at .24
its people picking brand over the product. people dont give a fuck how good the product is they just buy the big name
The best selling Radeon card period is an RX 570, the runner up being the Vega 8 igpu, and third and fourth places being the 5700XT and 6700XT.
@dreamy rose an hour of homework is worth 💰
its how you get people buying the newest iPhone every year. granted they think it makes them look cooler too. (it makes you look like a dumbass thats what it does)
Yes, and all of those underperform dramatically vs Nvidia cards
Where my tnt2 at
take us back to the mid 90s where everyone was making graphics cards.
And yet, that's not the part that mattered anyway.
The part that mattered was what people could justify buying.
Which is apparently not Radeon cards
Like seriously, Nvidia has there own example of this at the top of that survey to prove it.

Idk. Nvida cards run games. Amd cards run games. Intel cards run games. Buy whatever, the 5% more fps doesn't matter
Meanwhile uses a rx6650xt
And it's something for certain that is cheap, which is what matters.
as a vfx artist I am very happy that NVidia goes overboard on ridiculous graphics cards
hot take but people can absolutely justify buying a Radeon over a GeForce, but listen to some coomer pea brain acting like 10 years ago is a perfect analogue to modern day
Uuuhh no. That's not really the point.
The point is it's all they know of and other places it, it's really all they can get a hold of at all.
Uh, there are like 40% as many people who own a 3080 vs a 3060
It's not that different
The biggest reasons why I choose between amd/Nvidia is shipping times. Price and performance don't matter a whole lot when both options are good
My little brother right now has been stationed in South Korea and from what he describes about the gpu market there, it's predominantly Nvidia cards.
Graphics cards from years ago? How about 20 years ago…
To get anything AMD or really anything else at all, you have to go more into the bigger cities.
there are countless videos about switching to Radeon. doing a lot of work that "Nvidia is better" at. and having the time of their lives realising that the crap AMD gets has been going undeserved for so long at this point
That is literally everywhere
Uh, it's only been since around 2022 that Radeon has been a reasonable choice recently
And what do those two have in common versus their 40 series equivalents?
They are three years older lmao
They are cheaper.
Use less watts too
Yeah, and they're also vastly older
Nice
And people don't care.
It's what they can afford.
And what they can justify.
If you genuinely cannot understand why a card that's existed for three years is adopted in greater numbers you might be beyond help
So... Where's the justification in going a flagship if all the majority wants is just something they can actually afford?
More like you've lost sight of the topic that I'm actually trying to adhere to.
they can AFFORD a Radeon and they can JUSTIFY a Radeon. they DONT buy a Radeon they buy the closest green equal
not really, its been a reasonable choice for a little longer than that. but yeah its taken a while to get here.
I'm basically giving a point to why AMD is playing smart by not making a flagship gpu for next gen.
I have no idea what you think the topic is
Radeon is still getting clapped by Nvidia this gen
Amazon has a $15 off discount on the graphics card I got 🤔
The real question is could you possibly hand solder one of these together if given all the components?
No, it only made sense once rdna2 prices dropped
you mean Nvidia is getting clapped by radeon? they really got that 7800XT price matched with the 4060Ti 16GB Clowncar upershitfest laughingstock edition
Except they're not lmao
They did that for years and it didn't do shit
The point is... Cheaper sells more than high-end, and if it's good enough to be better than the previous gen, then for the price, it's justifiable for most.
Ah yes
The 6800xt 2 vs the 3060ti shit value edition
If anyone been waiting to buy they got a coupon going
maybe. i mean its not outside the realm of possiblity someone makes a clone of such vintage hardware. some guy did that with a rare CD drive iirc.
Except that doesn't work if you want to gain mind share and market share
It doesn't necessarily mean they have to try and topple Green n' Mean's marketshare, it's we know they won't. All they need to do is just... Sell, and that's it.
it needed a card that basically didnt exist anymore so they cloned it
TLDR: Nvidia stuff succ.
Radeon's position has only gotten worse since the 580 days
At least a significant number of people owned one
its a joke on Nvidia because they actually sell this shit
Then explain how they managed to move all their RDNA2 stock before even Nvidia could calm down their partners over moving their excess 30 series stock.
I feel like intel and Amd are always fighting for "the fastest cpu" or "the most cores", not because either will sell amazingly but having the title gives brand recognition, and if they have the "best" cpu, surely everything else they do is "best in category"
If it doesn't work, then it wouldn't have happened.
wait is this guy actually shilling for nvidia
the survey is updating within the next few days, we'll see where Radeon takes up
Clearly something actually worked in AMD's favor and they sold, even if they didn't get much from it in profits either, due to it being old stock.
its almost like the brand recongition lead us to 4 years of 14NM Garbage
The point there was they actually managed to get rid of it all, discounted at actually reasonable prices people were willing to pay.
i7-8700k was the last of the great intel cpu's
If someone buy a thing without looking into if it makes sense & only because “it’s the best” not a conscientious consumer & their purchase decisions should honestly be ignored.
Sadly that seems to be how most people shop
🤷♂️
holy shit fuck steelseries
I thought their mice were pretty decent?
my headset goes from no audio in the right ear cup, to not being able to turn on to not turning on within 5 minutes
I can’t imagine not doing a fuckton of homework before buying/recommending
the cable they provide are weaker than swiss cheese in a jointer
its pathetic that's how people shop. this is how we get shit on like the 40 series absolute insuts to the intelegence of the consumer
and the thing is people still fall for it.
Swiss cheese in a jointer. Sounds messy.
people are actually just buying garbage because of its name
As far as Gpu's go, its less than most products due to the sort of people buying expensive gpus are more likely to do homework. Laptops are 100x worse
An informed customer is harder to sell to.
people "fall" for things they are told because they are people who are being decieved. That is not THEIR failing
an Uninformed customer is a problem to everyone in the space.
Yes
Unfortunately though, you can't always sway people even when it seems reasonable because you also have to accept that it doesn't always work for everyone.
Most people also have an absolute expectation of everything working right out of the box, mostly because it's an expensive purchase and a lot of people don't actually want to go through tons of troubleshooting with their hardware.
Uh
What?
its their failing to not do research when buying into a product.
I just got one of my friends to buy a 6600 last week, too
6600XT is EOL, 6650XT
yes, consumers are at fault, not the multi billion dollar businesses specifically lying to people
False advertising and bending the truth to favour your own marketing happens, and comapnies more than likely spend millions researching how to better trick the consumer
@stray apex
Yeah, my friend got a 6600 off Amazon for like $200 recently
Nice.
They definitely haven't moved them all
There's still plenty of 6800xt for ~$500 on Newegg too
Even with QoL issues, one thing Nvidia manages to somehow accomplish often is making things work on Day 1. And despite really when people should moreso consider the end result before taking the whole beginning and middle into account, it's hard to ignore.
Arc is easily a modern example of that. Almost no one could recommend getting an Arc card at all at launch because of all the problems. It took till now before that no longer became an issue, so now all that's left is software compatibility and minor experience bugs.
And I bet because of that first day rep, most people still can't justify them anyway outside of those of us who really wanted to mess with them.
Wonder if cdw has any
did you ever stop to use logic for a second? it happens because people DONT do research and they get to lie.
Hurm
Because we'll buy even crap they give us anyway, no matter what anyone says or does?
its not the companies fault people don't bother to look at reviews or numbers. its the Customers that enable it
Why should they do research?
AMD hasn't presented a product that's objectively better in
I don't even know how long
The 6650 & 6900 are both backorder
7800XT is superior to the 4060Ti.
they are price competitors. you cant say they haven't made superior products. High end sure. but again. thats not everything
Is it, though?
In raw price to raster, sure
But is it really better than a 4070 on sale for $550?
Technically, an Arc A770 16 gig is superior to both if you want something both different for once and is cheap enough to toy around with. Lmao.
Doesn't mean it actually is better, it's just the best different thing that exists worth getting.
yes, because RT is still a gimmick absolutely not worth picking one over the other for.
Honestly if intel ever release a next generation to compete with 5000 series I might get one as an upgrade for my 3060. Just for fun, and just to play with all 3 gpu companies
RT is actually pretty common in new AAA releases
DLSS is as good as Useless and AMD has everything they need on the software side
CUDA, TensorFlow (that still supports hardware tensor), OptiX, and Unreal Engine aren't gimmicks though to most people.
Cope lmao
it aint cope its a fact,
DLSS is basically free frames
Why do you think AMD and Intel both developed their own versions
everything is using FSR.
Dlss is pretty pog to get story games running at 1440p 60fps
Uuuhhh no?
In fact, everything is using more basic algorithmic upscalers.
Consoles are using FSR. thats the main place games are made for
Not really. They just use framerate capping.
Console hardware can push high framerates, but current game design makes it harder to accomplish on more limited hardware in a stable fashion.
they absolutely use FSR. you think those boxes are actually gonna be pushing 4K and 8K native just as the marketing wants people to believe?
Plus, most game studios or devs that aren't triple or double A can't justify the risk of going high detail on fidelity.
Therefore, they can afford to keep pushing better framerates in their games by just having everything built to be lower detail than the bigger budget games by default.
No, they just run at 900p like they always do
What do you think they're running on the iphone
No, they use pre-existing upscalers.
AND, use FSR to UPSCALE said titles to said resolutions.
Usually ones built into the engines they choose.
They've been doing this long before fsr was a twinkle in nvidia's eye
I know Unreal even has their own upscaling algorithm, which most games use anyway.
Referring to NIS, right?
That's an oldie upscaler too, made by Nvidia.
I'm just joking about how amd is constantly following whatever Nvidia is doing
Kind of like apple and everyone else, I guess
Although apple does things other companies can't do due to cultural power and whatnot
Whereas Nvidia just has way more money
So I suppose it's not really the same
Eh, it's what happens when you have a major market leader. Whatever trends they set, some of them might pay off and then that's what everyone actually wants to see out of... Well, everyone afterwards.
nobody wanted the Headphone jack gone, nobody with an opinion that matters anyway,
Which was... Mostly everyone.
No one's opinion truly matters when it comes to Apple's decisions.
They're about setting trends, which means if they have to defy the riverflow, they will do just that.
are you saying people willingly wanted to have features ripped out from under them?
No, I'm saying Apple didn't care what anyone thought.
And yet, most people vastly prefer wireless earbuds now
They did what they wanted, no matter how much everyone hated it.
Because apple was correct that wireless is a much better UX
Just
It's also wildly profitable and android probably couldn't get away with it
Man
Risk of rain 2 is really good
neither should anyone give a shit about apples path and instead create devices that are more featured than apples crap.
I'm glad my phone still has a headphone jack
Well those technically already existed (i.e. Samsung, HTC, LG at the time).
how is Buletooth any better UX than plugging in a pair of headphones
Tbf, Apples removal led to the development of affordable wireless earbuds, which are super common to see people with nowdays. They are super nice to have, but without apple forcing companies to make them to sell earbuds to apple users, we wouldn't have seen such rapid development and widespread adoption
But Apple was a force to reckon with that even they knew they couldn't top.
So if you can't beat 'em, join 'em.
That's the ideology all the companies got.
again that wouldn't matter if we all just had wired headphones and Apple forced wireless on you.
They did their own things still, but they took a lot from Apple's book.
You pull it out of the nice self-contained case and put it in your ear
Done
Versus you pull a tangled mess out of your pocket, spend ten seconds untangling it, put it in your phone, and try not to snag the wire
ok but look at these,
For my experience, I will say bluetooth has been about as much of a pain as dealing with wires.
Wow, literally nobody uses those
neither are truly better. Bluetooth yes can improve but its still ass.
they EXIST
So does sounding
Weird syncing issues, my listening devices pretty much running on their own battery I have to worry about, responsiveness in controls being weird, plus other devices trying to sync to my phone and taking over audio output before my desired device can connect.
With wires so far, I only had to worry about storing them properly and then making sure not to yank them out of my headphones somehow.
Bluetooth audio is apparently a process all unto it's own in my experience.
That sounds like your phone just had a shit Bluetooth implementation or something
the main problem is the whole fucking second of latency when beginning a song. thats what i hate the most.
not just a song any media
It's not something that changes even on any other device I've used.
My essential phone and both pixels have never had an issue with the four different earbuds I've used
Every bluetooth device I've ever worked with, including even iPhones, have been somewhat of weird chore that nobody ever mentions beforehand. Lol.
The most I've ever had to do is put the earbuds back in and take them out
Like I've always found it to be less seamless than I keep hearing about, so my assumption just becomes "okay, so basically everyone's just talking about it generally being cordless and that's the only part of it. Okay, I see where this is going."
I think you just have bad luck
I don't think apple has sold a dozen billion dollars of airpods and nobody is complaining about major issues
Wireless devices in general is always something I personally find to be a weird process of setup because there's always something causing a snafu somewhere or there's just this weird or unexpected behavior that knocks off a point from me for the experience.
And when I hear the majority of people praising it, I go deeper and then it's actually a two-side coin somewhere, somehow, so I just see it as something as debatable as the difference everyone can hear the other can't in our listening experiences: one man's luxury is another's confusing sidequest of problem solving. Lmao.
Bluetooth has been messy for me in general. idk Windows just despises working properly
maybe now i shouldn't have too many issues. but thats never true'
No, windows Bluetooth is just shit
I haven't had that issue with mine, but the (lack of) quality isn't justifiable enough for me to rely on my Shokz all the time.
Plus the latency.
Windows in general. Bluetooth is just the cherry on top of the shit smoothie.
That, and it's annoying to have to switch between devices I would like to use my Shokz with because their behavior is almost like trying to use a wifi extender with your phone. They don't play ball with switching back and forth between stuff.
I dunno, sounds like you just have niche issues with it
This is especially an annoying thing when using my Shokz... When in the car, and I'm not driving either (basically backseat) and I just want a private listening experience.
My car infotainment system always somehow hijacks the priority for audio out via bluetooth.
At this point adoption quantities are such that any minor systematic flaw would've been reported so many times
... And then potentially later does something to itself and then it just doesn't wanna work anymore, which is kinda hilarious.
this is basically windows. except replace Potentially with Eventually.
lmao rip Idk why issues like to crop up for u when you use amd gpus ie the new video but the only issue I had with my amd gpu is a very very bad encoder
I’m so ed I asked my mom if I can use her card tmr when I go out with my friends but I forgot that she has to go somewhere tmr
Linus does weird shit
they did not give them the full chance with fresh installs and ran into issues that will be expected at times doing so.
ah I see
I moved from a rx 470 to a rx 6600 was very stable
I just hated the encoder
regardless, the experience was mixed, which is enough for the Nvidia fanboys to cry over
the encode works fine on parsec for remote stuff I need to do at my mums places using her hp laptop
but like amds encoder for recording videos on a gpu ☠️
My encoding experience moving from a 2070 Super to a 7900 XT has been Turing NVENC having really bad quality versus AMF encoding via RDNA3 VCN and that was... Basically stellar quality wise.
Of course, I kinda mean for streaming really. My adventures in video editing now is a weirder case.
AMD's av1 encoder is basically just as good as Nvidia, afaik
The problem is the h.264
I don't use anything considered "standard", as in I use KdenLive and... Well, let's just say being a Windows user using that is pretty weird.
HOLY SHIT BREAD MERCH
AV1 is a level playground,
Basically with h.264, particularly on RDNA2 gpus, you have to have the bitrate turned up really high to get the best quality.
Yeah, the issue is that twitch doesn't do av1
just not usable everywhere yet
the whole bread joke is just so stale
As far as quality goes too, VCN does better than NVENC, however, at lower bitrates, NVENC turns the tables... Unless we talk Turing NVENC, that is.
hahahahahahahahahaha
you look tired, go to bread

guys should i risk on buying a faulty gtx 1080 ti gpu thats being listed for $50 aud?
(get it)
(are you talking to me?)
whats its fault?
its PCB
the seller is unsure about why its faulty and he said prob the PCB
As far as quality settings go (and I'm a YT and Picarto user when it comes to streaming), h.264 with RDNA3's VCN has actually been better than on Turing in my experience.
AV1 encoding has also been no hitch for me on YT and Discord so far.
prob best left as a for parts if they don't know why. unless you can see why in person before you buy
I had to stream at 30k at h264 to get a reasonable quality rip file sizes lmaooo ☠️
were they using it and then it died or was it left for a while?
and it was very unstable loved to crash my pc
Though as far as editing goes, KdenLive is just... A weird moment in itself because there's just some things it gets particular about, no matter whether you use gpu hardware or software encoding for stuff.
this is why I encode on my cpu after I broke pins on my ryzen 5 5600 on a move to r7 5800x
They using it for a while and died
And then all I hear is that it's... A Windows build quirk for KdenLive.
Linux is basically the first-class citizen platform for it when it comes to features and stability.
unpopular and very controversial sentence starfield is overated and was overhyped imo
Like it's not compatibility with hardware, it's just in cpu threads. Like... What's your deal??
So yeah.
Kdenlive experience on Windows in a nutshell for me.

whats the experience supposed to be best on? mac? linux?? 🤡
..... from what I have seen of actual ratings it's actually underrated / fairly rated.
Also hype is not measurable as such, so solid meh
Starfield is a pretty decent 6/7 out of 10
it made Radeon a better value than it already was. it served its purpose. but didn't do well enough sadly.
Very Bethesda rpg
Like I said earlier, it's a first-class citizen for stability and features on Linux and anything UNIX based like Mac OS to some degree, mostly because it was developed by KDE devs.
imo if im hyped for a spacegame im more excited over star wars outlaws
Starfield is a 10/10 Bethesda RPG, 7.5/10 game and 8.5/10 experience
Depends on what you're looking for
I think overall it's pretty average, but some bits are really cool
since for once its not ea and ubisoft which isnt a bad game company which is pretty tight
That was mostly because Nvidia didn't bother to invest time and effort into that game and then Intel... Kinda had to do their own testing internally, for some reason.
Average vs what?
In general
Story is fine
Combat is fine
Exploration is a bit crap, but it's servicable
So it was more like Nvidia didn't really respond till like... Way later and then Intel just tried. Lol.
i mean as in it didn't really make as much cards fly off the shelves as it should of.
In most of what it sets out to do I don't think starfield excels, but it's not terrible
agreed
The thing is, it combines all of those, so it's more than the sum of its parts. I don't fundamentally disagree though
spaceflight could be better theres no in atmosphere flying last i checked
There's no in atmo flying in most space sims
Yeah, but they also fit together in a very average Bethesda game kind of way
there is in no mans sky
The shipbuilding is genuinely pretty cool
Well honestly, I don't see everyone immediately willing to try and make yet another expensive purchase after we all had the gpu crash to cash in on for stuff on sale.
Plus, it was... Sort of unexpected really and I don't think anyone wants to justify getting new hardware just yet anyway.
No man's sky is like
A chore simulator
No man's sky is not an experience
its more open world imo
I'm indifferent to that game... And Starfield.
In the sense that they did not create much content, sure
No man's sky appeals to a very, very specific audience
my specs are relatively ok could get more ram and a new gpu but I think its fine
Far cry 6 is an open world that feels fucking tiny because it's all the same shit. Far cry 5 world is smaller, but feels bigger because it's full of different shit.
I'm still saving and waiting to upgrade my platform from AM4 to AM5, but I'm no rush.
Plus, I'm not really that interested in the triple As anyway.
I dont think im moving to am5 untill the next gen of am5 is out
Upgrade from AM4 is a woftam right now. 5700x best value for money.
and by that time maybe amd might have cpus without the igpu this time
That is where I'm at as far as decisions are going.
Iiii actually prefer them having igpus, personally.
Having a shit igpu is great for troubleshooting
It helps a ton especially when you have to troubleshoot nonsense like what my little brother's been dealing with in his build.
Especially since most people don't own multiple gpus
Sooo many weird things going on in that thing and I just don't understand.
i'm just waiting for them to throw the good ones on AM5
What sort of person doesn't have multiple GPUs?!
I usually have had a tollfree pc building experience ive built my sibling a pc my dad a pc and myself a pc
its gone pretty good ngl
I'm kinda waiting to see if they really will.
The oppressed g*mers
It would be very appreciated if AMD did actually give us another desktop APU.
i'd be served perfectly by an 8600G with a 16CU IGPU
A powerful one in particular.
Buuut I wouldn't be offended if they didn't either, sooo... Eh.
Admittedly it would have been super useful to have an igpu when I reset my cmos and I had a gen3 pcie riser cable on a gen4 card, and it was hard lined and I had to use a pcie extender and hack shit to use a different card just to boot and change bios settings.
There is no escaping me jp
lmao im very evil tho I stole the cpu that was meant for my siblings build which was a ryzen 5 5600 to upgrade my ryzen 5 3500 and game them that stole their nvme ssd as well and gave them my old sata m.2 then I ended up breaking hte ryzen 5 5600s pins then got a ryzen 5 5800x
When was I ever escaping you though?
I know
How are you tonight Florida man
X570 itx build
I have to disassemble the entire thing every damn time
im probably never moving to intel tho imo its just not worth the price in thailand its got abit of a price expense at a higher level which I dont like compared to amd
a move to nvidia could happen if I find a good deal or could justify it to myself
14th gen is a joke
who still uses a b450 in 2023 lol
Me.
same here
It's all I got really.
so is their naming scheme
There's no point
I have the B450-i Gaming Wifi.
my rx 6600 uses pci 4 x8 it doesnt have sixteen lanes but my mobo is pci gen 3 and has 16 lanes
so my gpu ends up having only pci gen 3 8 lanes
which is not ideal for the rdna 2 cards I heard issues about it on the rx 6500
I use my 6600xt in a thunderbolt egpu enclosure so mehhhhhh
My gpu uses all 16 lanes, though I'm stuck on PCIe 3.0, so there's a deficit in bandwidth.
There isn't. 16x 3.0 is fine
here kotor remake might be getting cancelled
my gpu cant use pci gen 3 16 lanes cuz it only has 8 lanes
sony removed the trailer from youtube
its already been confirmed kotor is cancelled
Even worse, my board's last BIOS update allows me to toggle ReBAR, buuuut it doesn't actually work and instead gives me boot drive issues.
when ?
Do you mean 6500, the 6600 is 16x iirc
there were rumours about it which solified pretty quickly
sad to see
good thing it doesnt really matter lol
The RX 6600 XT performance in game benchmarks has faced some challenges but there's also the question of its PCIe interface. You see, it only has 8 physical PCIe Gen4 links that give more than enough bandwidth on new AMD and Intel motherboards but what about older Gen3 boards? It would only have a PCIe x8 link there too with a speed of just 8G...
thunderbolt kinda sucks for EGPUs but Oculink isn't common so
It does work, it's just that rebar needs you to use efi.
no it may look like it
..... thunderbolt is what exists, sooooo
but its false it dont have 16 lanes
Which I do and then literally all my drives disappear from boot order.
why is it the case I want isnt sold in canada yet
Edit: I checked this and you are correct
no its also for the rx 6600
And the xt, it turns out
(and the xt doesnt benefit from gen 4 so i doubt the 6600 would as well)
I misremembered because the 6500 has four
which means it only has 8 lanes which also means it can run on my b450 at only pci gen 3 8 lanes
.... which is still plenty.

but you dont gain anything for running at gen 4 kek
Nope
