has it returned to normal?

steep girder

We had certain cultures getting drunk that did it on purpose lol. Vikings idk... did they initially try making meads because they somehow found out first it kills germs in water? Or did they make it because it's fun or good for battle? kekw

Back in the days Germans/Nords started making beer and definitely the earliest we supposedly have like Egyptians actually being first actually!! šŸ¤“

Yeah we didn't even know that microbes existed.

So we weren't even aware of anything that alcohol kills. At least in its true observed form.

steep girder
# carmine light It likely started out as "oh shit this food went bad but we're starving" then sh...

Idk. It's much more complicated than one would think. Like when we first made beer of root resulting in 'root beer'... that 'root' was of sassafras. It had alcohol and got you decently buzzed... but also an oil from it called safrole turned naturally into MDA or MDMA eventually in human metabolism. Our ancient ancestors did drugs without even realizing it. We found out about this much later in like 20th century (maybe Nazis as always). Then we finally scheduled it

#

So like organic root beer they gotta treat to remove the 'harmful' things if you make it from authentic ingredients. Sass root. It's what you want but irl not really unless you remove certain oils from it lol

Historically, you know those symbols we had for all planets except for pluto (which turns out to be not a planet anyways c. 2006 lol)? Honestly military irl has one intended purpose: to protect the country minimally when it comes down to physical combat. That means at least holding whomever is decisively not allowed to enter the borders back. Protect both the government and the 'people'. Just all individuals considered to make up the federation. Boom.

The military should be minimally trained and equipped to be capable of those things. At the very least...

If you do happen to believe that an existential nuclear threat is out there, you must believe in spending enough money to defend against it. Self-preservation. Even to have a contrary opinion is broken. You can't have either opinion if you're dead.

On the other hand, they also say that for the first time ever, us humans with our nukes already have enough to at least shake the tectonics enough to cause like Yellowstone eruption lmfao

pale osprey
steep girder
#

There are things that happened once since planet formed. Like the Earth got an atmosphere and never lost it since. But idk with all our nukes in arsenal, perhaps we could be the first and only thing that is capable of making the Earth lose entire gas atmosphere lmfao

sage sun
#

yeah it apparently takes a dramatic movie to make people think

steep girder

Or like there are actual climatologist theories which to this day are believed to be official for certain aspects of our atmosphere. To be fair they knocked Spider-Man out of the park from issue 1. Within the first 20 issues they already created the vulture, doctor octopus, the sandman, electro, the lizard, green goblin, kraven the hunter, and scorpion. And that's just the Stan Lee and Steve Ditko run. Two issues into the run of Stan Lee and John Romita Sr. they made the Rhino and a bit later Kingpin. That's ignoring important but lesser known villians (to the general public) like the enforcers or the spider-slayers. Spider-Man knocked it out of the park like no other super hero in existence. He has one of the most iconic rogue galleries (the only one coming close or surpasses him is Batman) and there were so many iconic stories so early in to his run. How many iconic stories do you hear coming from early issues of other long running superheros? Many of the most notable come later, origins not withstanding. This is also my biggest defense against anyone who trashes Stan Lee or over hypes his writing.

Idk but if warranty covers defect and you're within that time period after buying it, it should be enough to say that no you're wrong and I didn't drop it; it came like that and they replace it lol. Just keep bothering their customer support until they agree to replace for free incl shipping kekw

Yeah I haven't read anything from the newest runs, I'm reading all the old stuff from the beginning right now. I do agree about him getting old, though. One More Day fucking hurt Spidey so bad. So many writers are idolize highschool Spider-Man, even though he was only on high school for 28 issues in main universe. I like young Peter, but they need to let him grow in the main canon and leave the other stuff to alternate universes like Ultimate Spider-Man. I do not mind having different universes being published at the same time, I love that shit. Ironically, by being so obsessed with young Peter they're ruining one of the things that made The Amazing Spider-Man so great in the first place, the fact that he actually grew and changed issue to issue.

a) Check the official marketplace guaranteed condition. I.e. ebay 'as is

noble axle
#

ohh exciting šŸ˜„

steep girder

b) If you're basically looking at an 'as is' product, check description and see if anything is written explaining low price

c) Ultimately, try to always find crisp and hires pic of entire boards the hardware component has. Look for charring or liquid residue. If none, now you can consider buying. If no clear pics of all sides are posted, it's sus.

Like don't get that card if the price is suspiciously too low and the only picture is that thumbnail. That's not even a photo of the unit. Taken from OEM site. Steer clear kekw

It's funny because loafs and definitely slices are kind of expected and reasonably conceptualized with respect to market prices of bread in general... some is a bit more expensive, some is really cheap. And yet there's no actual standardized units for loaf or slice

olive stump
#

Those bread slicing machines in supermarkets will let you pick your slice width, they're amazing

steep girder

Like tbh slice never sets price so it's ok kekw I can pre-slice my batons to like 1/3 thickness of roughly acceptable slice width. But no of slices is not related in any way to quantity of unit and price

Sliced bread is a modern invention that accelerates the bread going stale and/or spoiling

steep girder
#

It's one loaf always. Or half a loaf tbh. Some bread you get like half a loaf. Often more high end breads that are 'artisanal' and 'organic' and yet rarely the ones that are fresh baked in the oven you see in front of you. You get same high end price roughly for clearly what was baked as one loaf and somebody else took away the other half...

why? Show your work and explain your reasoning in words.

Light rail does not have those issues but because of the insane cost that is extremely limited in the areas that it goes.

It's focused around this theory of park and ride so you drive to a parking lot park your car get out of your car then get on the light rail.

#

Which would be fine but people rob people's cars at these park and ride since they know that they won't be back there for at least 8 hours

steep girder

This is all just safety mostly though. Imho, the real focus should be how 'green electricity' vs 'car exhaust' are the big swindle. Even if we figure out fusion: just the sheer laws of physics say the most efficienty optimization would be to cut out the battery -- just a storage container for energy and use the magnetic fields somehow to turn the wheel directly

They are so desperate They have a literally assigned a portion of the budget to talk to social media influencers to figure out how to recruit people.
They have waived the vast majority of the entry requirements.
There's no actual entry minimum The only thing you must be able to do is by the end of basic training pass a 60% minimum. Here's the kicker you can be recycled over and over and over again until you hit that 60%. Oh and it counts towards your time and service.
And then you have up to 18 months to hit the bare minimum that gives you a total time distance of approximately 2 years to meet the standard.
Considering you can enlist for as little as 30 months years It's a bit of an issue.

well government would not focus on growing animals that require grain

graceful burrow
carmine light
# sage sun i have a little bit trouble believing americans will eat only grain.

My grandparents and great grandparents always had a decent sized garden where they grew staples to help offset grocery costs. It was all seasonal vegetables and then corn. I'm thankful they taught me those skills. It's not that Americans wouldn't do it. It's that we haven't been bad off enough to need it like they did. They grew up through the great depression and all that shit ya know

carmine light
#

They weren't well off either, just lived in the country

graceful burrow
quaint venture
graceful mortar
#

At this point we don't even feed them grain
We feed them corn because the US government directly subsidizes corn that's also why high fructose corn syrup is such a popular ingredient here.

It's also why e85 never took off as a fuel despite Brazil already proving that alcohol is more effective pollution controlling fuel and completely eliminates foreign oil dependency.

Bear in mind it wasn't like that $20,000 was spent when they were a puppy... It's like $20,000 and the dog lives for another two or three years tops.

I love my dog (German Shepherd) but my thought process is that once it's time comes naturally I'm not gonna make it suffer by keeping it alive by whatever means

graceful mortar

Like I get it help animals out no problem. Well you tell me this stray dog that you managed to capture you just spent $20,000 on it why?

maybe it's only common because it happens more often than expected
I don't think most americans are that wealthy

sage sun

they aren't poor either lol

But honestly golden retriever guide doge. Like training went into that doge. Let the doge have a pacemaker. ||Although animals literally can't give consent to anything as it relates to our own rights||

graceful mortar

whats a pacemaker?

graceful mortar
sage sun
#

well you dont euthanize an animal randomly you do it cause they're gonna die anyways because of the illness and pain.

quaint venture
#

I would much rather euthanize my dog then keep it around when it's already on deaths door and suffering

sage sun
#

yeah i mean you gotta euthanize yourself as well when its time to go.

graceful burrow
# wheat summit whats a pacemaker?

it makes my heart keep pace, one of the chambers of my heart doesnt beat in rhythm with the other three, so the pacemaker gives it a teensie shock to make it beat on time

steep girder
#

Therein lies the conundrum. You can't even ask a non-human animal what it wants. There is nothing legal (and maybe even scientifically observable emphasized) yet that even communicates an animal's consent to us.

# graceful burrow take a guess then

Like I want to say yes because of nerves but then at the same time The conductivity of everybody's nerves is a little bit different so it depends on how aggressive that pacemaker is.
So for me I'm 50/50 but I'm going to guess no.

#

Was I right? Or should I trusted my initial instinct

steep girder
#

Dude apparently PETA-backed services legit sneaked into peoples' back yards after waiting for them to leave. Then they euthanizaed their doges. Thanks PETA. It's the animals' right for them to get lethal injection after we kidnap it. Consent? Idk tbh. Owners definitely didn't give consent but let's shift our focus on flowers... flowers are nature.... do you love nature, arsewipe? DO YOU? Well stop using gas car and buy EV from China because it's green. It kills animals less (don't look at great barrier reef tho because it's banned on FB)
