My issue is is I've experienced car ownership from 2017 till 2022 of new models. All except for the ones that were designed... well in Europe frankly. (Fiesta ST)
Had some form of mechanical failure that would have been absolutely catastrophic outside of warranty and even in warranty The vehicles were down for three six eight months at a time with no loaners.
That's where subscription service makes sense because if it breaks you just tell them bring me another car see you tomorrow.
If those failures would have occurred outside of warranty they would have left me on the hook for 15 to 25,000 depending on which car we're talking about in repairs meanwhile I would have still been owed 30 to $50,000 on them depending on which one we're talking about.

Oh dont get me wrong, I'm all FOR the subscription model if it works for you. I had the XC40 and loved it a lot. Not having any cost other than gas was awesome, but at the same time it bugged me that "you dont own anything" mentality with that kind of program (which I guess could be true for leases as well, which is what they model those subscription plans as).

Part cost is obscene and if you try to go somewhere like RockAuto where you don't really have a warranty on the part to save money you're getting such a bad product that it fails within two weeks and you have to buy it again anyways.

This is the second one I've had to do a blower motor in around 150,000 mi.
The same exact part used to cost 17.99 It's now $90!

Insurance doesn't do loaners it's completely based on the car manufacturer and whether or not they have a factory-backed loaner program which I know RAM does not.
And the dealer's didn't want to give out loaners because they were charging 15 to $20,000 over sticker on new cars and once they have miles on them they're no longer new.

And I did go and look at this car for a friend of mine. And it's all new suspension so there's another 5 to $600 depending on how many bushings you have to replace.

and even still... 1gbit isnt 1gbit total... its 1gbit per link.. if you have 4 links, the switching speed of your router will probably be at least 4gbit, but probably 10gbit internally
