2010... So it's an LMM.
Which used posts combustion injection to light off their DPFs. Which were notorious for throwing errors and pumping the crankcase full of diesel fuel.
Which means before you can even consider buying this vehicle you would need at the bare minimum full diesel compression test done. I would be uneasy about buying it without an oil analysis but unless the owner already did that that's like a month out.
You would also need a mechanic to inspect that DPF cuz that's $8,000 to repair.
And bedrotted out means frame rot which also means that the crossmember that's in the back that these chassis are notorious for is rotted out.
It's price of $5,500 because rust-free breads go for $3,000 or more. And to redo that crossmember assuming that the frame has enough meat on it to where they're willing to do it another $2,500 at least.
I could go on and all but basically I would have to see it in person. Because of the front ends also rotted up you're going to have shops charging you $4,000 to $5,000 to replace control arms because they regularly have to spend 6 to 8 hours cutting them out like it's a massive problem.
The torsion keys will completely seize to where it will have to be cut off.
Rusty 2001 to 2010 trucks are nightmares. Because the costs for something simple like a $200 control arm suddenly becomes $1,400 $1,500 aside because of the amount of labor that has to go in with trying to get the damn thing apart.
