I'm not actually sure so take this with a grain of salt, but usually you can set which drive to boot off of in the BIOS. You can also set it up so you can dualboot, but if I were you and you are not going to use the windows installed there I'd format the SSD once you get into your main Windows installation.

If you want to keep it then go into BIOS and set which SSD you want to boot from.

I've only done this with OSes installed to one drive or an SSD + a bootable USB, but it should be no different for 2 SSDs

I finally got it, I plugged it in to the port that Dosent have arc and that got it to recognize it, then I plugged it into the right port and now it works

hey guys quick question
so i have this m.2 (crucial p3 plus 2TB), new, and it says it is compatible with my motherboard (asrock b450-hdv r4.0) however if i put it in and start the computer it freezes and leaves me on the asrock boot screen (it isn't the boot drive and the boot priority is on the pre existing one and it doesn't override it i have checked with another m.2) this ssd works because i have tested it on other systems including the ps5 ( i haven't formatted it to anything yet)
my question is does this mean i should try and get a bios update because i don't know where else to turn

if you're trying to boot windows from an external drive, it won't work. you'll have to clone your old drive to the new one
