My original plan was getting a camera for my trip. So I got a Pixel 7 Pro. Then I thought I needed something more, so I looked for a point and shoot but was still worried about the quality and I ended up getting a mirrorless.

Heh, it's not for work actually. I work in software which is how I have the money to indulge in my hobby. So I worked in web and when the dotcom bubble burst I went back to university and did my degree in photography, knew it would never be a stable career but I love it. The iPhone came out when I was there and I got into mobile development. Now I do that, but I still have my (second hand, vintage) Hasselblad 5x4 and my EOS 1D for fancy photography, and the EOS 5D MkIV for more portable out and about photography.

I can take a good HDR digital negative and make it look like a transparency shot on the Hasselblad, but there is something magical about having that transparency that is a moment in time, when you didn't hand pick that shot out of the 100 or so you shot digitally but it was something you got in that run of 12 opportunties that's intangibly special.

I'd get a cheap Dell or Lenovo tower. It'll have a decent a i5 8th gen or something like that and space for two drives. You can convert the optical drive bay into space for two extra hard drives. It's way better and cheaper than a dedicated NAS. But obviously is bigger

the basic versions of gpt3 can run on a raspberry pi 4. the limiting factor is the size of the model data you ship, which essentially makes the model its self bigger.. and more complex to run... but you can certainly run it on basic hardware with smaller less sophisticated training data

My favorite animes are considered trash though by anime fans. Haha. I just like a few of them. I liked the original SAO. Magi the Labyrinth of Magic. Fairy Tail. Dragon Ball . There's just a limit to how much anime I can consume without getting sick of it.
