I would recommend going Ryzen for much better battery performance, you can buy the Slim Pro 7 brand new from Best Buy for $899 (hopefully it's still on sale) but it has the Zen 3+ refresh 7000 series chips and not the new 7040 with the 780M
Their model has a 7735HS (680M) 16GB 6400mhz ram and 512GB SSD
But I'm buying the previous generation model of the laptop, the Slim 7 Pro X, since you can get them certified refurbished for cheaper and with a better spec sheet: 6900HS, 32GB 6400mhz ram, and a 1TB SSD
Definitely go check them out in person though

1. new, buy the slim pro 7 (but try to wait for it to hit 899 again instead of 1199)
2. usb4, the pro x refurb does not have it for some reason
3. 120hz refresh, the new slim pro 7 2023 model went down to a 90hz panel for better battery
4. 6GB of VRAM, the 3050 in the 2023 model went from 4GB to 6GB VRAM (it also slightly out performs the 4GB model)

the 2022 refurb model does sport a 3K display instead of the 2.5K display that got put into the 2023 model
