Like the most security critical thing gpu manufacturers are charged with is the driver. I think it's the only thing they can care about. For example, on Windows, it has user mode components and kernel mode.

Actually there's also windows framework specifically for display drivers which both amd and nvidia must adapt to (and they really suffer from the looks of it lol). That is also responsible for security of display driver
