If a hacker covers his tracks enough, you might end up with no way to prove that somebody else acted on your behalf without knowledge and broke into your private server. Which is illegal. If somebody in your own country hacked your server without any consent or assistance from you... usually that's a serious criminal offence.

The corresponding db and user were known at that point because they are stored in config file php. The thing can now read/write/traverse dirs all three. Anywhere else it's at least read and traverse. Also list. PHP can let you list files even if all indexing and such are off for http.

I was using reddit last few days from Canada. Then log in from Romania. Either I teleported or the non-Canadian IP is suspect.

And if I consider how if I didn't use Reddit for a long while when it happened... would they have blocked it?

Gigabyte GPUs have been cracking and ASUS were a bit crappy with the bios with the AM5 boards burning out x3d chips

personally I've never had a problem with MSI's boards. Gigabyte boards ime have been amongst the worst.

Gamers Nexus and Jayztwocents have both gone into details on both companies in recent weeks. Plus of course there was the whole exploding PSUs from Gigabyte a little while back.

Indeed. I think we're at the point where the ATX standard needs to be reevaluated for things like that. the horizontal slots don't work for such heavy cards very well due to the weight of some of them.

In my experience the quality of the bios depends on the generation of CPU/socket, some generations some are better than others.

What I will say with AM4, MSI were one of the few to offer MAX boards, which had the larger bios, giving much more CPU options on boards.
