You can literally enable Hyper-V on at least enterprise windows nts (win 10 enterprise for sure). But maybe even Pro too, etc. It actually has this feature in all editions. RTM or whatever probably hardest as always.

Enterprise windows you're even licensed for like 1 or 2 VMs already. You can deploy as many as you want from what I've seen but you need check you're not going over licensed amnt yourself

But either way two things sharing gpu resources first world problems. Real problem is you can't have one display shared between two apps without sharing those same resources to some extent

I think it's actually a problem most of the time going the other way around: you need one hdmi on laptop with two diff gpus. One of the gpus must now send the buffer to wherever the other one has it

The entire power of the gpu is that it's shared hardware resources together in one place lol. That and the hardware itself being specialized for graphics

Because you didn't share the vram and entire gpu, you ended up with more latency theoretically as an inevitable consequence lmfao. And this carries on probably because if two apps need the same texture in vram, it's faster to share it instead of loading twice from the outside. In fact, don't load it at all. Just same texture in vram. In practice, idk how that translates though because you might not be able to do that
