See here's the thing. After getting my Galaxy S5 at some point I heard of the note, and I really wanted one. So I figured when my contract was up, I'd get one. Sounds cool? Well that's also when I got my first decent paying job, flush with cash I said: "I"m going to buy a brand new phone for the first time!".

So I march straight down to the store to get a brand new Note phone. Sounds great? Right? It would be if. Would be. If it weren't for the fact that was the year the Note 7 came out, and apparently they decided to start f-ing exploding.

And that is how I got my least favorite phone, the Galaxy S7 Edge.

Now I'm sitting here with Galaxy s22 Ultra. Never managed to get a real Note phone.

I know, and it's great, I like it. But I can never say I actually had a Note. I'm always going to have an asterisk next to that now. All because Samsung decided to jihad their phone batteries the year I was going to buy one.

That Galaxy S7 Edge is simultaneously my least favorite and my longest had phone. I broke that thing, both through my own fault and sheer bad luck, so many damn times, it is ridiculous.

I've never looked at Pixel's much. I really need to actually look into them. Even if I won't switch back, I need to look at iPhones again too, since I haven't used one since the iPhone 4.

I was going to do research on the phone market before buying this S22 Ultra, however, my last S7 Edge decided to completely shit out on my way to work one day, so I called in and went to pick up a new phone.

Didn't have much time, and Samsung was offering $800 off an upgrade if you traded in any Samsung phone (including my shitty dead S7 Edge that had no trade in value anywhere) so that was a hard deal to turn up.

Almost went with a Fold 4, but I figured putting a screen protector or getting a case would be a nightmare since they had just came out, plus a few other negatives, made decide against it for now. Maybe someday, but I decided to go with this to finally get the Note I never got to have.

Okay, that's good. You always want your boot drive on an SSD Putting most of your games on an HDD is fine, some games load times with be effected, however it's not the biggest deal in the world.

So your motherboard has a second M.2 SSD slot? If you are getting a second SSD, since you already have an HDD you're storing most of your games on it doesn't matter too much.

I don't know what country you live in or your finacial situation, however, I would just buy the biggest SSD you can afford. 256gb is small, but in your situation it isn't mission critical.

SSD prices have dropped a lot (at least in the US) so I would consider getting at least a 512gb or 1TB SSD if you can afford it, but you do you. If this isn't mission critical it's up to you.

No yeah, same advice just for the 2.5in SSD. They are either the same price or cheaper. I would still get a bigger one if you can afford it, because you never know what games you may want on it. It's really up to you man, again, it all depends on your budget since it's not mission critical.
