I just skimmed the page but isnt the meme that because of low vram you are requesting system memory more quickly, therefore the max bandwith of the pcie connector has an effect

meaning that 8x pcie 3.0 vs 16x pcie will even hamper your performance more

The onboard vram on the APU is 2 gig, after that it dips into system memory which is massively slower

It’s not ideal obviously, but it’ll be an improvement till I can get a whole new system

an improvement sure, but my point is that a 8x pcie 3.0 will hurt on a rx 6400 more than it would a card with more vram, its going to be more than the benchmarks say as those are done at 16x
