Right. I have now finished my calculations and I think I have the DEFINITIVE answer to the question: How many potatoes does LTT need to power their business. In simple terms, the average potato produces 0.5v. Given that we have to convert this, we’re looking at roughly 0.35w per potato. An average LTT employee will use a 400w power supply, so that it around 1,150 potatoes per device [ppd]. around 100 employees, average of 1.5 devices per employee [dpe], so our initial maths is ppd x dpe x employees. So we’re at around 172,500 potatoes so far. Servers and other machines will take far more, at roughly 10x. So we’re now looking at around 2,000,000 potatoes. You can get around 40,000 potatoes per acre of land, so you need 50 acres of land (or just over 20 hectares). Linus and team, you’re welcome 😉
