Because mostly corporations purchase at scale, so they get a discount, and Lenovo works with big companies to tailor the software/settings/bios, plus most companies lease not buy. Those same companies usually operate on a rolling timeline for hardware, usually right before the warranty expires they trade up for the newer version, Lenovo sells to resellers and those laptops end up on ebay, sometimes with a few months of Lenovo warranty still on them.
