I guess I did word it wrong. 🤦

manic torrent
#

The best thing to do is to not get shot at

steep girder
#

Yeah but I mean it's not a luxury everybody's guaranteed all the time. That's why in certain states, people might be of the opinion that one should shoot back to protect themselves 😛

#

Everybody agrees that the police should do it if anything though. Interesting how nobody really disagrees that you forfeit at least the legally guaranteed right to not get shot at... as soon as you shoot at somebody

wispy marsh
#

We once had a police officer who shot themselves in the toilet because they lost 10k (about 7k in usd)

#

Firearms are contraband for citizens here

#

That was a cold slap to me about how our realities differ from another's

steep girder
#

But legally guaranteed means at most just 'supposed to be diligently enforced; certain individuals have that due diligence also legally'. So, ideally, nobody who has to actually try protect your life breaks the law by idk... intentionally letting you get killed. If that happens, ideally it gets discovered and proven with a result where the law did its job in this regard as well.

Having said all that, if all goes perfectly so far, hopefully the officer will succeed in arriving within like 5 min drawing and shooting 1 or more perps

steep girder
wispy marsh
#

Officer's about the age of a fresh grad, too

steep girder
#

Here in Canada, pretty sure certain firearms are literally impossible to shoot legally. I could be wrong but AK-47 or anything AK-based

vapid smelt
wispy marsh
#

Nah, it was a revolver i think

steep girder
#

This includes I think knockoffs and also derivs as far as even a dragunov (makes sense I guess if you're gonna do that). This is regardless of clip size and having a restriction on auto mode.

wispy marsh
#

You can survive a small bullet or buckshot with lower velocity, but a revolver? Ain't coming back from that one

steep girder
vapid smelt

I once got a diploma in school(högstadiet) for being the most annoying/trolling. jakeKEK

steep girder
#

Idk how the ak based classification works but there has to be one. Could be action + automatic mechanism being somehow the same by certain parameters. I mean it was quite revolutionary because of the way it reloads. The second barrel below is connected somewhere to the main one and the gas expansion is responsible for cocking it back automatically

#

For some reason that feels wrong though. Was ak really the first gas-powered automatic system?

steep girder
young moon
unkempt widget
steep girder
#

But still, it's a rifle which is outright banned regardless of semi auto restriction and any of the usual others like clips, barrel length whatever

#

I was told it's just because the AK is too bad-ass (dangerous)

young moon
#

Any weapon manufactured by kalashnikov is built up from ak’s

#

Or has like similiar parts

steep girder
wooden pulsar
#

side note: It was FreshBooks

young moon
#

That i dont know but could be possible since its very old

steep girder
#

I've looked at these things for time and realized that the weapons that get banned eventually are the most effective ones that don't suck, are affordable by ordinary folk, are practically available along with their ammunition. In other words, you can use them lol

#

AK tbh is bad choice over AR if you live anywhere in Canada. Not sure but are there even 762 soviet sold here?

#

I think there are nato 762 aks as well actually so there's that.

young moon
#

Yeah theres an Ak-308

#

Modified version of the Ak-12

steep girder
#

But all in all, nobody pays attention to how they're focused on the AR15 right now (they already restricted it to a mutant in some states). Before that, a bunch of similar things happened with rifles like FN-FAL.

manic torrent
steep girder
#

FN-FAL was supposed to be used as US military standard issue but they went with something else. There were already a bunch produced though. I think it was insanely easy to get one.

young moon
#

Americans have made their own version of the AK which is pretty cool

#

The CMMG Mk47 Mutant

steep girder
#

So yeah the motive is standard issue, they manufactured a craptonne of them, you can easily get ammo and the firearm itself, it does its job at protecting / taking out target threat because it's... for military use lol

#

That usually gets banned. Which begs the questions:
Why?
When is the purge?

manic torrent
steep girder
#

Aren't standard NATO rounds actually designed to maim and not kill?

unkempt widget
#

has anyone here seen a rubber bullet wound

steep girder
#

Like 556. That's what I heard. I mean you only have to incapacitate somebody on the battle field lol. Killing isn't necessary.

steep girder
#

Fair enough. That's a part of the same thing I heard where the soviet one, on the other hand, is supposed to kill or something

manic torrent
#

That's just 5.56 vs 7.62

steep girder
#

That would explain the AK ban. Honestly, I gotta check but if NATO chambered variants of AK are also banned in Canada (pretty sure they are)...

manic torrent
#

... plenty of ak style rifles in other calibres

steep girder
#

Probably the rifle design itself is too dangerous I guess

golden talon
#

now tell me there’s a difference between 308 winmag and 7.62 natoKEKW KEKW

steep girder
#

But, again, too dangerous? What does that mean? It's too effective at what it's intended to do?

#

308 winmag sounds like it's not yet rifled 😛

wispy marsh
steep girder
#

Rubber bullet to the head tbh should have a wide range of severities when it comes to wounds

golden talon
#

FMJs are designed to penetrate, hollow points are the ones designed for hunting living things

steep girder
#

Point blank temple I think is death. Maybe the rest of the head. Depends on the gas pressure of the gun too lol.

#

Any range rubber bullet to the eye I'd bet is unfortunate

unkempt widget
golden talon
#

the real debate is

steep girder
golden talon
#

45 ACP or 9mm?

steep girder
#

9mm is cheaper

golden talon
#

45 acp penetrates more

#

and is arguably more satisfying to shoot tbh

#

9mm is a faster round but 45 acp is a big boy

steep girder
#

Nah not sure about any of that

#

Faster is probably up to the gun

golden talon
#

9mm is tiny compared to 45 lol

unkempt widget
#

9mm > 45 acp

golden talon
#

i’ve shot a lot of both and 45 acp is just better

#

it’s so much fun to shoot

steep girder
#

Penetration idk but you can have different loads ammunition which means different muzzle energy. Both probably penetrate like crap compared to most rifle rounds because they're pistol cartridges lol. With pistol bullets.

golden talon
#

sure but pistol to pistol difference you’re gonna get way more results with an acp round

steep girder
#

It depends. I mean you can go into some serious rated armor plating and maybe some caliber/load/weapon managing to penetrate it at x meters away

#

But honestly, why? If you're facing somebody with armor vest, I'd forget the point blank ranges and leave just the farther ones

#

Because who with a kevlar vest and helmet or something would let you get a couple meters away lol. If a guy is wearing a vest, probably has a rifle at least drawn. They're not messing around

fossil frost
#

the thing is, its turned from "lets make a simple robot" to "ok, here are all the tools for the robot, the robots friends, the upgraded version of the robot, the AI that controls the robot, and then the config tools to tell the robot what it can and cannot do... plus a list about 3 pages long of other stuff it needs, before it can actually take a single step"... feels like ive jumped into a project hole, and im still waiting for the bottom 😄

golden talon
#

a well aimed FMJ 50 AE shot would probably knock him over

steep girder
#

(or reporter I guess -- they have no weapon maybe but you're trying to penetrate the vest of a guy who's just there to document lmao)

#

You always can tell apart the doc crew guys because if their vest isn't uniquely colored, they have some sweater over it saying REPORTER or whatever

#

Holding a giant telescopic lens and camera and running through desert dodging minigun rounds + missiles because they were mistaken for rpg guys

#

Which btw nobody would see if not for wikileaks maybe. I haven't heard about Assange recently

I mean you agree that he's absolutely done nothing wrong right? Like Snowden did break serious laws technically. If you were to do the exact same in his position with the same information but change perhaps just one thing somewhere, you would literally be morally on the very opposite side.

Imagine Snowden told some anti-US power that people are getting spied on and they used that information to hack into like NSA and spy on US citizens as well...

Pretty sure it's literally the same exact crime but with just one physical circumstance changed (apart from intent).

fossil frost
# steep girder I mean you agree that he's absolutely done nothing wrong right? Like Snowden did...

technically, Snowdon is the one who released the documents to the wild... Assange published documents that were released to him... same as any other journalist (ie. the woman who was given all of matt hancocks whatsapp messages to help him write a book, and immediately released them to all the papers). Assange is the posterchild for getting rid of whistleblowing in the USA right now, so they are going to stop at nothing, whether he has legally done anything wrong or not

#

Australia could fix Assange's issues by remembering he is an Australian national, claiming him back, and extraditing him to Australia, and then refusing to allow him to be extradited to the USA... but they have made a point about being very quiet on the whole thing

steep girder
fossil frost

Assange has already been used up and spat out by Russia. Snowden will stay there for a while now, because 1. he cant leave with whats going on. 2. he will be killed if he does go anywhere near the USA. 3. while the thing that is going on with russia and the country im not sure if we can say their name for some reason... is obviously horrific, its only the same amount of horrific as what the USA does all the time. 4. russia didnt blow up the gas pipeline, the USA did...

steep girder
#

To be honest, he technically committed crimes which exposed information about the very portion of national security that was malfunctioned. Now that I think about it, it wasn't quite black and white like you'd think at first.

Espionage without permission I think has actually led to stopping real domestic terror plots in action. You can't really enforce a terrorist's constitution and spy on their plot at the same time.

fossil frost

steep girder
# fossil frost Assange has already been used up and spat out by Russia. Snowden will stay there...

Idk but in Russia you just gotta not act out. They're not shy to use the batons or decent force. If you genuinely can't breathe, you'll stop at some point I imagine. It's bad but you risked it in the first place. The scariest thing atm I hear is bribes. Back in the fully bribed days, you were supposed to put like 5g RUB in your documents and registration please. The full procedures can be annoying to deal with. Not too long ago, some fight actually began against corruption like this

#

But idk if it's finished even still. In the end, you're left with traffic stops where you're not sure if you give passport with money inside or not.

fossil frost

isnt Alexei Navalny the one who had the balls to stand against everything that was going on? and is now currently in some really bad jail (and by really bad, i mean really bad even by russian standards) , after putin tried to have him assassinated several times

Putin sent 2 russian spies to the uk to kill some dude, and didnt hide it, i cant imagine how much he doesnt hide it when its within russia... and those guys looked like if you went on amazon and typed in "russian spy costume" or... what russian spies would look like in a comedy movie about russian spies... they were so stereotypical looking, it was funny (funny except for that they killed a dude)

steep girder

US and Russia often have the war in the same place where one backs the opposite of two sides

fossil frost

steep girder

Then it was an outlawed neurotoxin which was banned from use worldwide... but everyone still has some lol

fossil frost

we (UK) hear a lot about the russian ones like this, because... russia... we dont hear much about all the stuff the CIA and FBI and NSA does in the USA and how many people disappear into a black hole, or, just go missing...

steep girder

You know when they ban a lot of chemical weapons, they actually allow a certain quantity still?

#

I only have a little bit of super-sarine liquid lol... it's for research

fossil frost

steep girder
#

A bit of whatever novichok is kills upon touching it. If you get treatment, you may get better and unlikely it's full recovery without any lasting effects

#

Then apparently it still causes cancer a lot of the times. Definitely should be banned from use ever. But apparently right where it happened a chemical plant produced it allegedly. Everybody said Russia did it. US I wouldn't be surprised if they had some (or even more than what's agreed limit)... but if it was Russia, at least they didn't use it on anybody

steep girder
fossil frost
#

the 2 russian guys tested their novichok on 2 english people before they went after Skripal. all recovered, even the police officer who became seriously ill after he searched Skripal's house wearing a full hazmat suit... the perfume bottle it was in, was later found, and was found to have enough novichok to kill 1000s of people

steep girder

Trisomy 21: About 95% of people with Down syndrome have Trisomy 21.2 With this type of Down syndrome, each cell in the body has 3 separate copies of chromosome 21 instead of the usual 2 copies.
Translocation Down syndrome: This type accounts for a small percentage of people with Down syndrome (about 3%).2 This occurs when an extra part or a whole extra chromosome 21 is present, but it is attached or “trans-located” to a different chromosome rather than being a separate chromosome 21.
Mosaic Down syndrome: This type affects about 2% of the people with Down syndrome.2 Mosaic means mixture or combination. For children with mosaic Down syndrome, some of their cells have 3 copies of chromosome 21, but other cells have the typical two copies of chromosome 21. Children with mosaic Down syndrome may have the same features as other children with Down syndrome. However, they may have fewer features of the condition due to the presence of some (or many) cells with a typical number of chromosomes.

bruh that sucks so much

steep girder

Then I remembered oh yeah! Laptop! Held fn for every f* key

Then rebooted into bios in hopes of having setting to turn it back to normal. It was the only place I could think of to change this kind of crap

It's a bombardier crj900

steep girder

Wtf is Canadair

polar steeple
#

Honestly don't mind because my suitcase gets gate checked so I can just stow my laptop bag and keep all my legroom

steep girder
#

Does bombardier even still make aircraft?

polar steeple
#

It's like a sub brand of bombardier I guess

#

When I fly American It's bombardier when I fly delta it's canadair but it's the same plane

steep girder
#

Oh wow yeah. Dafuq why did my friend always berate Canada for this

#

Maybe we were talking military aviation. The Arrow or whatever

#

No I feel like I've been through this. There are more still.

polar steeple
#

They're honestly fine

#

Kinda slow for a jet

steep girder
#

...trains

xD

polar steeple

Yeah bombardier made all sorts of shit

#

They make like, gondolas too

steep girder
#

Lol true. Where the f do you take a gondola in Canada

polar steeple
#

Ski resort

steep girder
#

Oh those gondolas

polar steeple
#

Yeah lol

steep girder
#

Right ok. I was thinking Venice gondolas

#

They take those there because every road is water lmfao

polar steeple
#

Indubitably

steep girder
#

It's on stilts and sinking apparently. Most places the water is just rising lol

#

Maybe since we have artificial islands, we can put one of those underneath Venice. Boom. Disaster avoided.

#

Then again they like vacuum pumped and launched the sand for the arabian ones pretty sure

#

For Venice, gotta snipe it underneath...

#

Yeah idk. They should do something about Venice if they haven't planned it yet. That and volcanos. Stopping volcanos from erupting or some sort of protection would be nice for Honolulu and stuff... or maybe stop building near/on volcanos

#

But before all that tbh also gotta figure out how to deflect or destroy asteroids the size of NFL field or bigger... after figuring out the 100% detection

#

Literally things man kind has to do in order to not randomly roll bad rng and die unexpectedly. Something to do I guess...

polar steeple
#

Volcanoes do be crazy though

Gotta tell you

Volcanos?

fossil frost

volcanoes are both amazing and terrifying in equal amounts

nova siren
#

Volcanoes* are cool and scary

polar steeple
#

They're like nuclear bombs that live inside us

nova siren
#

XD

polar steeple
#

Why do people stand up before they even call to board the plane

#

It's not that serious

fossil frost
#

"it might explode anywhere between now... and 10 years from now" 22 years later... "it should have already gone.. when it does go... we are fucked" 10 more years later "this is really going to suck balls" ...volcano goes off like a small fart... "wtf was that?"

#

or... "this eruption is nothing to worry about" ...10,000 people die... "fuck"

polar steeple
#

Someone needs to teach these volcanoes a lesson

#

They can't keep getting away with it

fossil frost
#

the USA has had plans (similar to all of its plans) to drop nuclear bombs into volcanoes to force them to go off at safe levels, rather than these super eruptions

steep girder
#

But they say an nfl field size meteor is enough to affect the whole planet pretty badly. This is a problem right now they're trying to solve because that's still too small to detect with a decent enough success rate. Sadly, it's already big enough to lead to even our extinction.

#

A really massive one maybe we can see from far away... but we still have to stop it lol. Just like in that movie where we plant nukes in the hopes of breaking it into meteorites (they'll burn up). We only got half in the end but even that was a win lol. Some cities got day after tomorrowed, etc. But it would have been worse

#

Volcanoes too. Krakatoa erupted in like the 8th century AD and supposedly cased a decade of nuclear winter basically. Without the radiation I guess... that's already a good improvement. Still, a lot of vegetation likely died. Probably some species extinct we'll never see again.

#

Think of critical level endangered species we're holding in enclosures because there are like hundreds left in total lol. Not a good number to face famine + ashes in the entire troposphere idk. So volcanoes are a pretty real natural disaster for the environment.

unkempt widget
#

lol i would join in but i don't know much about volcanos

steep girder
#

Global warming is bad but if it turns out to still be a couple inches when super rock hits... would be unfortunate. Capping CO2 emissions was not a good priority lmao.

steep girder
unkempt widget
#

when a volcano goes off, just use your iron bucket smh

steep girder
#

They don't mess with it. Where it's really dangerous for certain populations nearby, they just monitor always as much seismic activity as possible.

unkempt widget
#

wait guys

manic torrent
unkempt widget
#

nvm that's stupid

steep girder
# unkempt widget build a wall smh, how hard can it be

Well yeah, or again, don't build beside volcano lol. Whenever I think of the most recent disaster in Japan, I can't help but wonder why an atomic station was built right on the shore of a known Tsunami area. Somebody said that it's for aux power which they need... but hydro dam can be built in continental river lol

steep girder
#

You know what doesn't ever get Tsunamis btw? Continental rivers

unkempt widget
#

btw isn't krakatoa 1883, and it caused a year of horrible harvests because the summer was actually winter

steep girder
# unkempt widget i was kidding lol

Well I mean I'm talking about it like a meme but irl it's actually a real problem we have which wee need to solve... if we want to survive guaranteed. I mean we survived the Krakatoa 1st millennium eruption along with whatever else is here today.

steep girder
unkempt widget
#

i did find 946 eruoption of paektu mountain, in korea and china

Mount St. Helens (known as Lawetlat'la to the indigenous Cowlitz people, and Loowit or Louwala-Clough to the Klickitat) is an active stratovolcano located in Skamania County, Washington, in the Pacific Northwest region of the United States. It lies 52 miles (83 km) northeast of Portland, Oregon, and 98 miles (158 km) south of Seattle. Mount St....

#

there are videos too

steep girder
#

Yeah mb maybe it's not Krakatoa

unkempt widget
#

anyways here's a fun fact: the bicycle was invented in 1884, during the year following the krakatoa eruption, where a lot of horses died due to the cold

steep girder
#

Honestly though best we can do is monitor and dip as soon as we think there might be an eruption (whoever is near a volcano). I think there are even signatures that are very faint at first which can point to an eruption ahead of time.

#

Like that movie where they realized slowly that the volcano is about to blow but they couldn't get to the right channels and evac on time lol

#

In the end, he was like on jeep driving through jungle away from fireball lmfao.

unkempt widget
#

here's another fun fact: mary shelley's frankenstein was written during the year, there was actually a competition for writing horror books (i'm pretty sure, please don't fact check that)

fossil frost
unkempt widget
#

i'm pretty sure during the year, cereal prices in new england went up by 4 times or smth

steep girder
#

The meteors I feel like we can solve though.

unkempt widget
#

didn't veritasium make a video basically explaining the small meteorites are the ones that we have to be afraid of

steep girder
#

Until a certain size. But I guess the bigger it is, the earlier we have a chance to detect it in theory. Just apply thrust on one side to divert it. Hopefully it's somewhere safe in the end.

unkempt widget
fossil frost
#

the bigger it is, the more inertia it has, and the less we can do about it

steep girder
#

Tbh if a giant rock misses and slings past Earth's gravity, you still know it's out there somewhere in solar system potentially. On the upside, there are certain things that protect us from significantly large bodies. Apparently Jupiter is a god send. Jupiter protects us somehow

fossil frost
steep girder
#

What I wonder is where did it come from and how fast is it flying given that it escaped another system likely

unkempt widget
#

it's also how fast it's moving towards earth

fossil frost
#

and you can do that with more mass, or, more speed

steep girder
fossil frost
#

but we have a physical limit on both on what we can build

steep girder
#

Stars aren't fixed either. They're just on a big enough scale where it's irrelevant for one life time today. But dinosaurs in the Jurassic times would actually see the night sky quite differently. It did change quite a bit within the entire time life was on Earth

unkempt widget
#

so apparently dart hit the asteroid at 14k mph which whould be 22,530kph which would be 6,258m/s

steep girder
#

Earth itself is more than one galactic year old too I remember

unkempt widget
#

dart is 610kg

#

which would mean a momentum of 3817380kgms-1

steep girder
#

When I was interested about how significant the stars change is to us, I recall even figuring that perhaps in our recorded history there were some noticeable differences here and there. Like stars did in fact change since we began recording them I'm pretty sure

#

Look at all the earliest copies of the constellations on paper we've found. They look all messed up lmfao

unkempt widget
#

apparently the average asteroid would travel at 12,000kph which would mean 3333m/s

steep girder
#

Lol SI units 3333

unkempt widget
#

so the meteorite asteroid we could stop is just above one metric ton (1,145kg)

#

hmmm that's lower than i thought tbh

steep girder
#

What a beautiful number. Almost like somebody typed it into box in Universe Sandbox

unkempt widget
steep girder
#

Like what am I gonna make this black hole the size of in rsun? 3333333333

unkempt widget
#

i hate it when it's just like that

steep girder
#

Yeah but the 3.6 is from 60*60 no?

unkempt widget
steep girder
#

Yeah the minutes and hours come from second. Not the other way around

shrewd jacinth
#

What is this conversation about?

unkempt widget

the most common meteorite would be between 128-256g

unkempt widget
shrewd jacinth

unkempt widget
#

actually no, half are smaller than 283g

steep girder
unkempt widget
#

90% are smaller than 5400g

#

which is 5.4kg obv

steep girder
#

Did you guys see even the meteorite? It burned up alright... but got low enough to blow out every window in a city lol.

unkempt widget
#

correction: meteorite, not asteroid lol

#

although an asteroid hitting earth would be quite bad

fossil frost
#

ha.. that abusive trolling dick hole from earlier on who got muted, started sending me abusive and racist DMs... reported to discord... fully banned from discord now 😄

steep girder
#

Some are small enough to touch down but not do anything big right? Like a meter deep hole and it's steaming. Apparently that's when you cue the feds + military and they hide it. So they say if they also believe in aliens...

unkempt widget
#

can you dm me some screenshots? i wanna see (also delete that message before mods come in)

steep girder
#

They should have responded that fast like in the mythos to the balloon lol. That's a UFO

fossil frost

all 3 about the size of a thumbnail, about half an inch (were probably bigger when they hit the atmosphere)

steep girder
#

It's unidentified, it's flying, and this time, it's actually technology... clearly

#

Like exotic outer coating texture or not... it's an unidentified balloon flying over USA

fossil frost
#

UFO is exactly that... an object, that is flying, and you dont know what it is... UFO isnt a synonym for aliens

steep girder
#

What do we know about aliens? Nothing. This includes nothing that could mean they hold a grudge against us lol. What do we know about certain other countries? They aren't allowed to be in that airspace and might be spying lmfao

steep girder
#

Oh lol phew it's old soviet satellite that everybody forgot about. Thank god it didn't hit anything but desert...

fossil frost
#

they drop the U as soon as they see the "Made in china" sticker

steep girder

Yeah lol that's another possibility always

steep girder

But some with the made in china can be identified by everyone and still pose an immediate threat lmfao

We've seen that recently. They lost control. I remember that time of panic where they weren't even sure which hemisphere it would land in kekw

fossil frost

most stuff crashes at point nemo, by design

steep girder

It turns out that when satellites crash, we always control the crash and sink it in one place like south pacific

yep, that place is called point nemo... furthest place away from any populated landmass

steep girder

I don't remember but might be right around point nemo. It's the farthest place from all land on Earth lol

fossil frost

there are parts of the day where a ship will be around that point, and the closest people to them are the people on the ISS

steep girder

Lol that's pretty weird to think about

shrewd jacinth

Those can be just links. But tbh I think it automatically converts it into those invite boxes or whatever. Yeah I think most servers block invites.

#

Imagine a giant server where it's not blocked. Everybody is bot spamming invites. You don't want that.

#

Also posting your own ip or somebody else's. That's against the rules in a lot of servers. I think here too.

#

You're not supposed to see any user's IP on disc. If it's possible, that's some bug. Xbox live did that for a while in lobbies which gave us those hilarious prank call videos with the african warlord tho

unkempt widget

i wanna make a joke but i'm afraid i would get banned

steep girder

🤨 i swear i hope microsoft will make an software that detects all rgb stuff instead of having 7 resourse hogging rgb softwares in the background

small zephyr
#

worst ofender in useless resource hogging is icue tho

#

🤔 i saw icue sometimes use over 1gig of ram

neat gull
small zephyr
#

just to controll the lightning of my mouse

neat gull
#

yeah u need one of their controllers to control rgb

small zephyr
#

yes without their 90bucks comander pro's everything from em is basicly useless

unkempt widget
#

there's also glorious

small zephyr
#

🤷‍♂️ i now use an speedlink orios cuz i dont wanna deal with that stupid launchers for logitech, razer or corsair for example

clear creek
#

ik

small zephyr
#

speedlink makes the controll software for single devices so its neither taking gigs of ram and storage

#

i think armoury crate is supposed to suck hard as well

and dont say asus i cant controll my fucking rgb of my gpu?

can’t tell you how many times Asus armory crate stopped working after i installed icue

small zephyr
#

my screen is constantly flashing cuz it opens many many comand prompts

mint yacht
#

Armory crate is basically malware

#

What other programs make you install something else to uninstall it?

neat gull
small zephyr
#

🤷‍♂️ i just want to change the fucking rainbow puke direction but im being tortured

#

🤔 lets see and trz

neat gull
#

open rgb would be better if it was more user friendly

#

its a pain in the ass to navigate

small zephyr
#

its so triggering that my gpu flows in the opposite direction of the rest of my stuff lol

neat gull

small zephyr

openrgb wont find mine as well

manic torrent
#

Signalrgb is more likely

neat gull
#

open rgb was the only app that could find my gpu

small zephyr
#

there is not a single amd gpu on signalrgb

manic torrent
#

Ah see I get around that with hardware. All my RGB is supported because I made it supported.

small zephyr
#

🤷‍♂️ open rgb is useless for me

neat gull
manic torrent

Because this bullshit is absolutely fucked.

neat gull

im never gonna pay money just to control my rgb

small zephyr

i tried wont find it

ok then sorry, let me rephrase, turn them all white ans see how bright your OFFICE is

small zephyr
#

i swear amd gpus just dont get any love from the manufacturers and software creators

manic torrent
#

Although it's not all set up at the moment because I moved it around

small zephyr
#

🤔 but dang its extreme how even an 6650xt is a tripple slot gpu nowadays

vapid canyon
#

At the end of the day it doesn’t really matter aslong as it fits in your computer

small zephyr
#

🤔 sadly my strix 6650xt aint got rgb on the backplate

#

not that bad condering my aio tubes lay on the backplate tho

vapid canyon
#

It’s better it having an overkill cooler to be silent and not sound like a jet while being hot enough to cook something on

small zephyr
#

both small pcie slots are covered basicly even with dual slot gpus

vapid canyon
#

Dual slot cards for the mid and higher end have been common for a while

#

The only single slot cards you’ll find is something like a gt 1030 or worse

small zephyr
#

🤔 or an quadro rtx 8000

vapid canyon
#

Those aren’t much better

small zephyr
#

an quadro 8000 is the pinacle of non gamer gpu tho

vapid canyon
small zephyr
#

🤔 1080p raytracing should be usable with an 6650xt right?

vapid canyon
#

Probably

#

As long as you use uh

#

Whatever amds upscaling is called

small zephyr
#

fsr

vapid canyon
#

And don’t crank the settings too high

small zephyr
#

🤷‍♂️ i rather have mid settings and higher fps in the first place

vapid canyon
small zephyr
#

🤔 and if i upgrade my cpu i may be able to play minecraft with raytracing xD

#

🤷‍♂️ my display is only an 144hz 1080p display

vapid canyon
#

75hz 3440p 🫣

small zephyr
#

at least its an upgrade over my old 5500xt for sure

neat gull
#

does anyone know how good ankers wireless phone charging docks are?

small zephyr
#

im gonna miss my silver colorsheme of the cooling shroud and backplate tho

#

the rx5500xt nitro+ saphire looks gorgeous

#

saphires nitro cards all look nice with that silver/metal color

#

🤔 i bet rtx5000/6000 is gonna be as big as an series x considering the 4090 is around the size of a series s lol

#

i think ltt should start using xbox's for scale instead of bananas

clear creek
#

or bricks

stoic beacon
#

They should go a bit more meta with it and use GTX 1080 Tis for scale

What do I need to do when it comes to the software side of things I am going from Nvidia to AMD can I just uninstall the NVIDIA drivers and windows has native drivers built in until I can install the AMD ones are specific order
