Yea, strictly speaking it wasn't designed to be a stealth bomber though, it was just a side effect, it had a reduced signature. Although this will be contested in some circles

Nah, they apparently specifically tried to make a stealth bomber out of it by effectively gluing charcoal onto the bottom, which they assumed would be able to block radio frequencies from 20 to 30 Mhz

But they never produced that thing, so they also never tried to apply said charcoal

Yea these stories came around years later, they actually tested the glue and found no charcoal in it. The design spec only mentions a low drag bomber capable of meeting a required range, nothing in the documents suggests it was intended to be stealth, from what I've seen

I think the first flying wing aircraft were actually soviet gliders

northrup also kept trying to make a flying wing, but they weren't really viable until fly-by-wire came out and made them reasonably controllable
