Does anyone know of an HDMI 2.1 (or 2.0) switch that will switch based on the CEC active status? (NOT just to the device that's "on")? I have this switch (https://www.amazon.com.au/Monoprice-106259-Switch-Engine-Support/dp/B003L18ZJ8) and except for not supporting HDMI 2, it works PERFECTLY! If a device is set to be the CEC active device it switches to it and then the TV switches to it. (e.g. if you hit the home button for roku or kodi it will switch to that device and the TV will switch to the hdmi port the switch is plugged into.)
I bought this switch (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07CF793HQ) and it only switches to an input if it goes from a no-power state to a powered-on state, which is useless for things like a rpi or roku. That is maddening! The CEC active status would be the ideal way to handle it and I can't imagine why it wouldn't be the default choice for consumers, but I cannot for the life of me find an HDMI 2 switch that is capable of it.
Honestly, it works so well and smoothly I'm willing to force all of my devices into 1080p mode just to retain that usability until I find a switch capable of what I want. I seriously don't understand why everything doesn't work like this.
