I fixed mine by doing multiple soaks in hot soapy water. I'd leave it in for like 2 hours and agitate it every few minutes, periodically adding hot water to keep them temp up. Then I soaked it in alcohol for a bit after.

however, swapping back to 3900X and moving my m.2 to the bottom slot got me into bios, so I updated

you can reflash a bios with the right tools, or, with usb if your board supports it

if your board is under warranty, claim that it "just died on its own" and send it off, manufacturer will test it, find that its a bad bios, reflash it, and return it

so basically

my first board in this rig (after the prebuilt's first board) got hit by a surge, and the surge fried the ethernet port, replaced it with a new board bc the old was out of warranty

so my friend went "fuck it" and bought me a better X570 board than what I already have

one that actually has the buttons to reset cmos and bios flash directly on it

so what I will very likely do is return the board I have now and use the new one
