Where my girlfriend works recently ordered multiple large HEPA filtration units for the office area the main floor area a hallway area and a meeting room area after concerns over dust of unknown composition from ongoing renovation work was found literally everywhere on that floor

They also had to hire an industrial grade remediation cleanup company to clean all the stuff on that floor & likely will be replacing computers & a few other things which may have dust in it out of sight

In addition that company is going to be testing the dust to see what it has in it. The building is from the 1960/1970s so there could be asbestos

it’s so bad that the building manager locked out the elevator from going to that floor and the people doing the renovation work have to use the stairs and there’s big plastic sheeting up and all of this near the door to the stairs etc now. I believe they are currently directly venting the stairwell to the outside from the top floor, but there’s no protection at all once you leave that plastic sheet decontamination area into the stairwell

So if you need to use the stairs you are potentially being exposed to asbestos fibres

It'll basically be a tool to externally share some images hosted on an app called immich, so all a db row would store is 2 string IDs, a title and 3 bools

i used a wireless corsair katar pro and lets say i didnt have the most pleasant experience, i am now avoiding wireless

buttons too light, mouse and dongle act like they have never met each other before

your computer does a "pre-operation self test", POST for short, its not POSTing so something is failing to initialize

In reality, a 3080 will still do pretty much everything you need it to in 2022. Just because the 4000 series recently released doesn't mean they're a good bet, esp with the reports of melting PSU connectors.

Make sure the screen is usable. If not - beware of cheap replacement screens, they can be awful, barely work, don't even have multi-tap functionality and look like crap. Try to find an original screen replacement that'll properly work

The original system came with an integrated ryzen cpu that I upgraded to a 2700x a couple years back. So maybe bios is set to reserve ram for the integrated graphics

No original parts remain om the system though except the m.2 ssd

Run msconfig
Select Boot tab
Select Advanced options
Make sure Maximum memory is unchecked

and if you want to allocate more VRAM, that is typically done through the bios. so find the video card settings in your bios, and allocate accordingly.

I don't believe it's through the video card. I'm gonna retry the msconfig option again and I'll let you know in a couple seconds.
I'm not that great with this stuff so I might be missing something
