Desktop Linux is about a decade behind Windows in terms of security features, unfortunately. Microsoft has been leaning hard into hardware security and using virtualization to isolate system components.

The WSL feature I'm excited about is 3D acceleration. We've had x.org remoting support for forever, but with 3D acceleration you'll be able to do things like run games in the VM that work better under Proton than they do natively, like Elden Ring.

One of the other things actually two things that need to be addressed going forward regardless of motive power is safety inspections and maintenance as well as lower axle loads. I keep seeing all of these Highway traffic safety stop pictures and it’s honestly final destination nightmare fuel

Lower axle loads will allow for better braking including in inclement weather and also will damage roads & loading areas less

If you have ever seen the loading dock area of a supermarket you’ll see a concrete pad but once you move off the concrete pad the asphalt is almost always deformed from the weight.

If you have ever seen asphalt paved roads that are all chewed up in suspiciously vehicle width grooves on each side of the lane that was done by trucks.

I think for most games 16gb will be sufficient it really depends on the whole build if you are seeing maxed ram or deficiencies it is usually a cheaper upgrade. just make sure you are utilizing fast ram and multiple channels.
