Alright well im torn between 2 cases. 1 of which i already have and know how it performs but because im doing a new build with a 3080 Suprim X its making me want a new case because its a new build.

GameMax Mesh f15 is the one i have, has 2 giant 200mm fans on the front, airflow has been great and all my temps are brilliant. However it has a max gpu length of 365mm and my new gpu is 336mm

The other case is the Antec DF700 flux - this has 3x 120mm fans on the front but an additional fan to sit on the shroud under my gpu to pull air in. This case has a max gpu length of 405mm.

Does the space between my GPU and intake fans effect anything? Which case should i go for and would 3x 120mm fans provide atleast the same cooling as my current 2x200mm fans? I get there maybe more noise but aslong as performance is the same im fine. Both cases are roughly the same price.

Based on the information you've given - I honestly think it would be fine either way and neither here nor there. Now, 2x200 will flow significantly more than 3x120, but ehhhh. depends on the fans and the flow and etc etc. all cases are going to have different dynamics

DF700 has a fan above the PSU shroud to pull air into the case to cool the gpu using the ventilation milled into the back panel of the case

front panel IO is pretty limited on both

DF700 has two USB 3.0s, F15M only has 1 USB 3.0 and 1 USB 2.0

I am planning to build my own first gaming pc and was wondering what your thoughts are on the best components to buy, I am going for an medium build with about a $1000 - $1200 budget.

The only thing I've really thought about is the gpu, atm I'm looking at the "GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 3060 Gaming OC 12G". Do you think its a good fit for the budget and if so what do you think I should pair it with? Otherwise if you're able to I'd really like to know what you'd build with this budget, the most bang for the buck!
