• Under remote shell, DISABLED

• Default network share pipes available: delete all lines (which 8.1 and prior are always at least C$ and the 'Library' folders)

Remote shell is always enabled in Win NTs by default to this day. I can confirm as of recently for Win 11 21H-whatever

I accidentally updated win 11 to latest, it briefly flashed a dialog on startup about getting symbols and still task bar. Not sure about insider/preview builds.

Basically, it's a patch for explorer.exe and perhaps other binaries. The idea is that the patch generally hooks into the same procedures and does the same exact thing. The symbols just tell various things about the changed binaries like where the procedures moved to, etc.

99.9% of the time, the same exact code is still there and you don't need to change anything about what you're doing at all. But some other tiny change that's unrelated means that an update ships with a changed binary of explorer.exe

It's what CakeMuscle was doing with his AeroGlass project. His life was much more hellish, though, since the DWM crap needed for it was pretty much undocumented. He had to manually debug it and find out himself with no help on Microsoft's side. They began in 10 to change DWM every few builds with practically no explanations or documentation still

Which is why if you check the site, the AeroGlass project still supports 1909 up to a certain build. After that, he raged and pretty much gave up :V

But for a lot of things in windows, there are debug symbols available from microsoft themselves.

If you use windbg, all you have to do is point the symbols location in settings to microsoft server and boom.

All RAM is bad RAM these days by design. You pay additional increments of 50$ for the box that ends in 2800/3000(OC) and not 2600/2800(OC) or some crap like that. In the end, it's just the same pile of RAM with maybe a different case to make it look leeter. They test how fast it runs until it becomes unstable. Whichever is the highest speed they tested and it looked 100% stable becomes the highest speed on the box. The rest are just slower speeds that can still work on that timing or whatever. The slower speeds will obviously work too

OC I'm not sure about but it's just nominally the fastest speed that worked. For instance, my coffee lake build was all 'intel' ram that always had the last speed OC. It was in XMP and I set it to that. I guess that the OC should be 100% stable in terms of how much is enough. If it wasn't, I wouldn't have reasonable grounds to RMA it.

If you have an LED bulb around you, just touch the top part right now. Guaranteed it's quite warm to say the least. A defective bulb would probably just stop working. Shouldn't be like a direct short anywhere because it's really hard to fk that up. Meanwhile, LED bulbs seem to me like there's more potential for overheating and melting/catching fire.

In Canada, there are some cool differences I've heard of. For instance, I know that there are truly scenarios where evidence can be later proven to be obtained illegally no matter what after its submission. Anything predicated on that evidence gets voided. If it was something that something key to a charge was dependent upon, then you're back to no evidence to convict of said charge.

So picture not obtaining any warrant, let alone presenting it if needed.
