someone somewhere at EVGA has made a spreadsheet which weighs up the cost vs reward of producing nvidia graphics cards, and they noticed that they are expending a lot of effort, for very little return. they will likely be making AMD or Intel cards in the future, but, the reason they are saying "no, not at all" now, is because they will have a clause in their contract with nvidia that says they cant produce cards for another party for X amount of time after the contract finishes, likely 12 months, nvidia would be stupid not to have a clause like that

I got a home DIY question...dunno if anyone will know the answer but...From what I understand an induction cooktop requires a ceramic(or other mineral...i've seen granite) surface with an electromagnetic coil under it.. by contrast a traditional electric cooktop is a heating element coil encased in an electric insulating but not heat insulating material...as far as i know both run at pure mains power...so the question...i can't really see why there's no such thing as a drop in induction plate for retrofitting electric stoves. any of ya'll know why it wouldn't be possible to just unplug the heating coil and plug in an electromagnetic coil?
