Motherboards are designed for purpose. Like I said, you can have two CPUs in a server. It’s how you design the PCIe lanes aka the communication channels. And then the software of how to control and distribute work via software. Motherboards don’t get overloaded, PCIe lanes become saturated as most motherboards use one lane for multiple devices typically due to there being enough bandwidth to support them. As devices begin the saturate the bandwidth you’d rethink how you laid out the lanes and which lanes are shared between devices.
