so, i have a light at the bottom of my stairs, and a light at the top. but at the bottom of the stairs, i have 2 switches. 1 to switch the bottom light on/off, and 1 to switch the top light on off... but at the top of the stairs, i have 1 switch, and that just switches on/off the upstairs light... now... i did a search on how to convert that 1 switch to a 2 switch, so i can switch both lights on/off from either location... and it explained that there would be several different colours of wire within the wall, and i had to match certain colours to certain connectors on the switch

so.... i pull the old switch off the wall, and... all the fucking wires are red... none of them are any of the colours in the guide...

So this might be a bit of an odd question, hoping someone has a good answer.

We have tubing at work, comes in 80 foot bundles, in total I need to cut 143'6" worth of line every day per truck. Is there an easy way for me to figure out the optimal order to cut my lengths of line to minimize the waste at the end of a bundle? Hoping for a tool or easy formula that I can apply to more systems than just this one

I know I could do it the old fashioned way, but I'm looking for something I can use quickly and more than just on this single type of truck, to minimize waste and cost.

If it matters, I'm cutting nylon braided hose for an automated greasing system that's going on a labrie automatic side arm. We have done 130ish installations so far this year, and have another 300+ lined up to be done as quickly as we can do them. Even 6 inches less waste per truck adds up over that kind of volume
