#Flight Sims (MSFS, P3D, X-Plane, DCS, FS98...)

Come to romania
How was it
Fine
Romanians r nice
In the whole world
I think 3 immigration lines for the whole airport?
15EUR for a sandwich is madness
And
Each has like 15 booths max
And half of them don't work anyway
Sheremetyevo Terminal C alone has more immigration booths than the whole Istanbul International
And they were supposed to build a world hub
Only 1 terminal
And it's gigantic
Why
I can make a huge sandwich for 10 💀
Sooooo awful, imagine if you have issues with walking, you're dead
Elderly people have to suffer that
imagine having a quick connect
l m a o
istanbul sucks
their atc is also terrible
You broke your leg recently? Make sure to get to the airport 6 business days before your flight because that's how long it will take you to get to your gate
And funnily enough
we had to go around because there was a mf plane on the runway still
After you board the plane
we were easily below minimus
It'll take you roughly 2 weeks to reach the runway
Someone told me that on vatsim it's absolute cheeks and since then I've been scared to fly there
And about the runways
lmfao
Especially considering that they're angled specifically such that you always get terrible winds
I've not had a single smooth arrival into LTFM
Every time it's near-windshear moments from the second you turn onto final to touchdown
The first time I've flown to instanbul in msfs I didn't even have a flight plan
So that was fun
When a 777-300, literally the 4th freaking biggest airliner still in the sky, rocks side to side like a paper plane, it's awful arrival setup
my god china
It's almost as if they decided "Winds? Planes don't care about winds"
I've talked with a friend long ago about Istanbul
How is the JARdesign A340-500?
And I was like "Also wonder how they decided on LTFM icao code"
And he said "Well FM probably stands for Fucking Madness in this case"
Which is TRUE
Flight factor A350?
Isn't it from xplane 10?
yup
Explains it
it flies a-b
but thats about it
it looks meh for 2025
it also had a lot of issues with the FM
I'm just gonna get xplane 12 with the toliss A340-600 I think
It was planned for this year?
Jesus, if they do, how many airliners would we get this year
Good question
We got the 350, 735, 727 pax, 340
Also potentially 733 and 734
Oh
And of course
772 and 77L
A340 again if they do
Yep
i think so?
the video looked REALLY promising
The pencil-600 looks kinda strange in Cathay colours
yup
I'm so happy we're getting a Toliss 340 XD
Apparently the 777 also has that problem
Haven't actually had issues with the 777
But tbf
I always load extra
man i love the a350
I knew discord compression would kill them 🫤
Anything even remotely sort of dark-ish just becomes black
Oh yeah night screenshots look horrible
such a shame, I love dark/night time shots
but I barely bother nowadays because I know if I share them they'll look...
well, like the ones above lol
RJTT-RJFR
The F1 tickets themselves? 1000QAR for T3 grandstand for 3 days, around 250 euro
bruh thats cheap
when did u buy em
Uhh
Around a month in advance?
Tbf with F1 tickets time doesn't matter that much
I've seen them still available at the official website for the same price a few days before the race
sorry for offtopic but i saw tickets for 450eur/p for bahrain and was wondering if they're gonna go down
Main grandstand was sold out iirc, north grandstand (on the main straight, just past the start line) was 1500QAR, T2/T3/T16 were all 1000QAR
Those also weren't limited to F1
That's for the track for the whole weekend essentially
In Qatar's case it was F1, F2, a Middle-Eastern Porsche championship, and all the post-race concerts (which included Metallica)
Most likely not, they'll probably stay that price, if not become slightly more expensive
I will say though, imo Bahrain is a better/more exciting track than Qatar. A bit more going on there
Well it's winter now XD
So uhh, do any australian airlines operate 77Ls or 77Fs
I kinda need to gain 70 flight hours in 4 flights
doesnt virgin australia operate 77L
And the best way I see to have an average of 16.5 hours per flight is to deliver planes to Australia XD
Can't
thats a 77L flight
huh
Which means in order to have an average of 16.5 I'll need to do one flight that's significantly longer than that
boeing field-doha is prob about 15 hours
whats the icao
acc lemme just put seatac
oh woe it only is 14 hours
I did KPAE - OMDB in 14:42, Doha would be less
Still not enough...
Does Singapore fly them
Oh wait
I have DHL-Singapore freighters
KPAE to Changi would be less than 16 hours too though
Fair
that was an enjoyable landing
not often do i land during peak sunset
that made my day
i think
I'm trying to just gain 70 hours in 4 flights
Ok what 777's do you have an where
Delivered? Not much, a 77W in Dubai, a 772 in Gatwick, two 77Ws and one 772 in Moscow, and now a 772 in New York
Oh, and a FedEx 77F in Cleveland
A freighter to Changi would take just about 16 hours, but if I conserve fuel and then have a missed approach that can be stretched to 16:40-ish
Emirates flies everywhere, but they don't fly to either
Nah, a 77F is essentially a 77L, while empty they should have similar range. 17 hours with no payload is definitely possible
American
A 777-200ER is definitely not an option right now
Fly it to Melbourne
A 777-200ER from NY won't reach melbourne even if empty
That two
In a -200ER?
But yeah
air new zealand does it in a 777-300ER irl i think
or a 787
i forgot
its a real route though
Idk what he's doing but he has a thing with delivered planes
Y'all were talking about seattle
Both them and Qantas do it in 787-9s
Yep
well
boeing field is right next to seatac
so
it's literally the same route
The furthest I could go from there is to Cuba if I say an Aeroflot one is substituting for a Rossiya one, which is just under 14 hours using the current paths
Nah, I don't fly military
One of my few rules
the only reason i dont fly military is because we don't have any good C-17s to actually fly
Hold up I think I might cook
i tried doing one the other day, but the delta simulations one is just not there to do a full flight
How come?
I just don't
I don't want to associate with any air force in any way while flying in the sim
In reality if I was offered to join an air force, I'd accept, but only because that's essentially a way to get an ATPL for free
Atpl?
Airline transport pilot license
What about santiago
From Moscow? I think the last time Aeroflot did that was in Il-62 days, but that was with several refuel stops
i am not particularly a fan of the united states of america, but i love the US air force
il62 please
msfs
:(
local legends il62m pls
NO
aye it might not be bad
That'd be aeroplane heaven or something
the devs who make this VERY unique stuff r usually not bad
because they're usually locals
True
Don't worry Aerial Simulations might still have your back with the 707
Yeah it'll take a while, but I'm sure it'll get there
I wonder if we'll see anything Soviet apart from the Tu-154 though...
Why did I say 204
I know why
Cause I want one
That's why
Wish someone was making a 204
Ok so the answer to that question is no
tu204 would be lit
no
it's free for xp11
i dont think someone ported it to 12 yet
Ah yes the 757 from whatever cheap online store they have in russia
YES
it's so sad how theres 0 russian stuff ever
the planes r more interesting than any airbus or boeing
im happy we're getting a SSJ
it's a start
Pretty sure there's some tu-134 as well
But that from some really sketchy looking Russian site
Yeah, I think the Tu-134 that was being made is not going to be continued
Ngl
I've always been kinda "Eh, SSJ, it exists" until I've flown on it
But then seeing it up close changed my mind
It's kinda pretty really
And you can now do sooooo many fun hops in Russia
The Headwind SSJ looked amazing as well, can't wait until the next version is out with a proper cockpit
im not going to lie, that is one of the worst rebrands i have ever seen
took literally all day to download because i refuse to spend money for faster download speeds, but holy fuck was it worth it, photoreal hawaii for P3D
i also got AIG set up too, so that is really cool
How many GBs though
just over 6.5
very space efficient
flyawaysimulations just limits you to 250kb/s on a free download
Continuing with AAL bare metal
why is it that flight control replay sucks so bad
one flight it stopped recording on the taxiway and saved it, the next flight it stopped recording and didnt save, and this flight it was showing it was recording the entire time but then it only saved the first like 30 seconds
Thankfully it was only like a 30 minute island hop flight so I’m not that pissed I’d didn’t save, but still
I had a similar issue back in MSFS, where it would record up until like the last minute before I stopped recording, and then they changed it so that the “stop” button cancelled the recording, to actually save it you had to press the record button a second time, which was a fun change
I don’t know what happened, but it’s working better, before it used to crash if I tried opening the options without the sim open and connected, and then the options wouldn’t save, but now it doesn’t crash and it seems to save my settings
I think for some reason using the default shortcut might have been bad, which is insane, because that is one of the only things I changed, that and I turned off the setting that saved your progress in case the sim crashed or whatever
sunrise w
This is the first time I have such conditions
Around 3 hours left to Buenos Aires
The default 2024 one isn't any better
It's fully bright now above the Amazon
aw man
i really dont know what happpend
simbrief also told me 11.30 hours flight time
meanwhile 13.22hr
winds mustve sucked badly
Just started descending

Much like the 717, I’m still coping that the miltech c-17 might end up good in the end
I’ve heard that it at least has a functional FMC, but I don’t know how detailed, or if it’s just the 747 one copied again
Sure
im actually for some reason unable to see aeroflot flights
what flies between harbin and vladivostok
wuts the flight nbr and aircraft
the og og
pfpx was really good
No flights by Aeroflot itself, but Rossiya uses SSJs and Aurora runs 319s
Basically a local subsidiary of Aeroflot for the far east of Russia
i actually prefer this to the simbrief bullshit
pfpx still works though, right?
we will see
@rustic charm i presume its this one right
i mean.......
still used for xp
xp nav data works very differently is the issue
The flights from Vladivostok to Harbin are:
SU 6645 - Rossiya SSJ; Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays, 19:00z - 20:35z
SU 5472 - Aurora A319; Wednesdays, Saturdays, Sundays, 15:50z - 17:15z
No directs on Thursdays
Yeah XD
meh im gonna fly during the day
Cause Vladivostok is 2 hours ahead of Chinese standard time
Definitely feels weird that China uses just 1 timezone
It's the same as if the Russian government said "Okay guys now we all use Moscow time. Doesn't matter that part of you will see the sunset at 1pm"
lol
Ngl I do like their livery
Also they had a pretty interesting fleet
They used to have 737-500s
I think a couple 737-200s
Still fly Dash 8s
Used to fly twin otters
does rossiya still have a t7
Also btw
What you see right there
Is something we likely will never have
DEAR PMDG WHERE IS THE 773
Don't think so
bruh
thats the first airline i know that flies the regular 300
They do fly 77Ws as well
i gotta really see if the T7 works in su4 beta noow
people say it does
rossiya surely flies from vladivostok to moscow
To be fair, I think 28 773s still fly
Most of them with Cathay
Yep, that's one thing they'll definitely do
Generally Rossiya's triples are flying from Moscow to Cuba, and from Moscow to the far east - Vladivostok, Khabarovsk, Petropavlovsk, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk
Even Anadyr I think, it sometimes sees 777s, sometimes 744s. And I think it's the easternmost continental airport in the world
Yep
it has alot of beauties tho
My rough estimation
The distance from Anadyr to Anchorage
Is about half of the distance from Anadyr to Vladivostok
theres no way they fit a damn T7 there
Yeah
Ngl, the main issue with the whole Russian far east is that there's hardly any scenery
I had to dig quite a lot to get just the things I have installed. Vladivostok, Khabarovsk, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk
And even then it's not even close to the quality of proper payware airports of course
Oh yeah it seems like it'd take a lot longer, but all of the flights from Moscow to that area are 7-8 hours
Honestly, can we also get an An-24
That's exactly the kind of plane flying in that whole region
How cool would it be to have one
Today you fly it around Kamchatka, through areas that stay frozen over pretty much the whole year
Tomorrow you're flying it in the middle of Africa
Cause that's what these planes do lol
Such a shame there's no dev that can do it...
wait so vladivostok to moscow is only like 8 hours
For y'all to understand how horribly underpowered the 707-120 was I used like 65% of the longest runway at LAX in a lighter 707-120
Yep
Soooo Vladivostok to Moscow I did in a 77W
Took me 8:46
So more 9-ish
Ah no that's seemingly cause I had some issue
Issue of the "Plane just turned randomly" sort
Basically between 8 and 9 hours
A bit of course init
Meanwhile out in Moscow I'm gonna try out an airplane...
css 737
isn't that the default 2024 one?
then I have 0 hope
So just got the month for now, I want to get used to it before the 734 and 733 appear
The miltech one is the 2024 one, delta simulations one is the freeware 2020 one
I used the free one a long time ago and I remember it being better than the new 2024 one
Ngl I kinda hate it when by default the plane doesn't have normal pre-set cameras
Also kinda wish they didn't force the legacy cockpit interaction model, but that's not a big deal
the 2024 doesn't have a fully functional autopilot, navigation suite and the HUD is worse than useless
the velocity vector is completely useless
you put in on the horizon and you're actually climbind/descending
utterly useless
also all the vertical profile and autothrottle managment is laughable
and the flight model isn't anything special, although I can't say how accurate it is
it's not fun to hand fly (not with that catastrophically bad HUD and VV display on the PFD), it's not fun from a "system managment" point of view, it's just dull and stupid
I have less than 0 hope of that ever changing
so far every single plane that has been released by/in partertership by Microsoft/Asobo has been abandonware (A310, A320N, A321N, A330)
a330 my love
Poor A310...
One thing about the CSS 737 that I can certainly say is good...
I do love being in a 73CL though
Something so familiar
But yet
Slightly different
-9c?
Ah, the temp lol
Yeah, -9 seems quite warm even
We're in winter now after all
I kinda like it
Time to see how it handles when wheels aren't on the ground
Maybe Vnukovo will get some use at least
Cause I bought the nice payware version
In hopes that I would have a 757 to fly with Azur
It's been a while since then, maybe even a year, and the 757 is not yet here
It's a little rocket
It's so much fun flying the boeing 720...
VOR navigation is the only type of ifr you have
Y'all have to fly the xplane 720 cuz despite it being freeware it isn't even that bad
it's very good
I've already flown it a bit
already having the 737-200 and 727 it's not that novel
but it's great for what it is 😄
it's really hard finding schedules for it, not all of them discriminate between 707 and 720
@rustic charm hows the 73
Quite nice, although had to pause for a bit now
I kinda just fly whatever
And considering how horrible the prices are for me I like myself a good freeware plane 😁
Especially that old of a plane
And it's kinda making me not as scared of the 742
Oh...
I just discovered
That with Justsim's Vnukovo, runway 01/19 is basically unusable
It's a full roller coaster
Can someone send a map with all the navaids on the US please
Make your Flight Plan at SkyVector.com. SkyVector is a free online flight planner. Flight planning is easy on our large collection of Aeronautical Charts, including Sectional Charts, Approach Plates, IFR Enroute Charts, and Helicopter route charts. Weather data is always current, as are Jet Fuel Prices and Avgas 100LL prices.
Yay
Very useful thing
Oh wait
So I was wasting my time trying to find VOR's cuz simbrief gives me VOR flights with the 720 anyway
Can y'all tell I'm smart
Okay, it's even better
Half of the airport is a roller coaster
01/19 is just much more visible than the rest
That's Birmingham 💀
I'm trying to see if it's maybe a conflict of some sort, but considering that the hilliness is visible on store screenshots on simmarket, it probably isn't
What the...
So I just searched Vnukovo airport runway bumpiness and the first image is one from 1974 with a dog and a tu-134
perfect
Nice luck
I wanted to fly from Hong Kong to Sheremetyevo with the 747 but the livery I downloaded to use for that flight didn't work sadly
And it was a really nice livery two
Looks like the whole hilliness issue is just shit default terrain that nobody bothered to fix
oh wtf
i never realized that YYZ from rush was literally a reference to toronto pearson
literally the beginning melody of the song is YYZ in morse code too
Yup
The laminar 333 is getting yet more updates
Hoppie CPDLC as well
By the next update it’s gonna be better than the aerosoft 😂😂
I honestly think once XP NxGen scenery releases MS is gonna have some real problems
whats xp nxgen
that sounds interesting
Laminars answer to MSFS photostreaming
Really really really high quality autogen apparently not photoscenery
Because it’s been in development for like 3 years lmao
good autogen can look good too
Orbx Global for P3D
i personally dont see any realism in photocsenery
i fly in japan alot
and over places i've been to over the years
90% of them dont render correctly
so
orbx vector and global was the goat
Fr
p3d still holds up
Simply because of Global
yup
It’s insane
orbx created a masterpiece
I think that’s what Laminar is gonna try and do with the scenery in XP
i hope they succeed
thats prob my biggest gripe with xplane as a whole
the game looks really damn good
but the ground is still terrible
Because with a new layer of scenery for vegetation released in 2016 with XP11 and weather support in 2022 with XP12 the scenery for XP has been the same since 10.2
It’s crazy
They tried to do the same thing
by misterx
Fucking awful
goddamn that shit was a scam
Yeah
'global' only covered a few areas
I remember doing a flight in Japan and being really impressed
Because he did buildings, vegetation, trees, roads everything really well and it looked really good
Then I flew in Europe
Looked worse than default in some places
No South America, Africa, SE Asia, Australia
“Global”
Yeah
It looked really nice in the finished areas
But that was like 3 countries
And not even all of Japan was covered 😂
Hokkaido wasn’t done particularly well
THATS IT YEAHHHHH
For the time it was pretty good
yup
But it also released at the same time as a little bit of software called Ortho4XP
god i hated using ortho
it looked good
but a) space b) hassle to setup
im happy for autoortho but thats CLUNKY and laggy af
Really good autogen can look better
It’s not gonna be 100% accurate
But it can look better
people who say they look on the ground constantly lie
im so concentrated during landing and takeoff that i dont even really look out the window
I use XPME atm because for me it runs a little better than AO
Like as long as we have simhaven for VFR objects and landmarks, accurate roads shit like that I really couldn’t care less what the ground textures are if they are accurate in where Forrest’s are
yup i agree
All autogen BTW
that bring me back to trueearth
TE still is fantastic
trueearth gb for xplane is amazing
I remember TE dropping for XP and I did nothing but fly the FFA320 and Toliss A319 on easyJet domestic ops for like a month
Also the Aerosoft ATR that I spent 3 hours putting a new FMC into
Those were the days
Need a good ATR for XP
isnt there one being developed
Never mind then
We are getting one
MSFS needs to up its Regional game
mfw no proper erj
We are now getting expanded CRJ’s, E-jets, ERJ’s, and we have the Q400 and soon an ATR 72 potentially a 42 as well
crucify me all u want
hows the skysim DC-9? im in a T-tail kick ngl
i remember their MD-11 being pretty mediocre, espcially around the time when the TFDi version was releasing
It's not bad, but not amazing either
Misses some QoL, don't think it has a takeoff/landing calculator
Overall the EFB (or well, it's a paperclip there) could be much better
The visuals are alright, but again, imo not amazing
fair enough, is it only VOR to VOR or does it have options for more modern systems?
The cockpit imo lacks animations a bit, and delays. Like if you click the switch, it goes directly from the off position to the on position, not actually being turned/flicked. And as for delay, for example the APU: usually you switch it on, and it takes a second or 2 before it starts spooling up. Here it starts right away
Basically this stuff has no effect on gameplay really, but it would be nice to have. Would feel more real
Nope, has nothing
VOR to VOR or simple heading
yikes, there is nothing worse than a mediocre airplane that heavily relies on good VOR tracking
Oh the VOR tracking is fine
I've not had any issues with it
I don't really even know how VOR tracking could work wrong tbh
It's the most basic aviation
Well
A person from the 1940s would be surprised by me saying that
that might just be an x-plane thing then, because the flyjsim 737 does NOT play well with VOR tracking and radials, and that pretty much permanently turned me off from buying VOR-only aircraft that arent highly regarded
But by now it's one of the most basic things, there's no real way how it could go wrong
I mean, I'm pretty sure flyjsim is considered quite a good one?
Idk what kind of issues it had with VORs though
it might just be me, but it hunts the radial really bad, it's extremely hard to get it to fly in a straight line
Well firstly flying VORs in a completely straight line is almost impossible
But that does look worse than what I'd expect from a VOR trip
Here's for example a flight I did with the DC-9
This was in the F28
This was in the 727
They're not perfect, with VORs you just don't get perfect
That seems very long
For a dc9
This as well
Empty
Wtf
Again empty
All 3 were (parts of) deliveries
The 727 trip wasn't even the longest empty I've done
This was the longest
6:37
Wth
That one was just short of 5 hours
Bros pushing his aircraft
Boeing Field to Halifax is 5:30, did that in the 727 twice
Well tbf the coast to coast flights on deliveries just seem like the best way, that leaves me enough fuel for a potential goaround/short diversion, but gets me far enough that I can cross the Atlantic as the next step
The flight from Alaska to Japan though? The whole point of that was to find the plane's absolute limit lol
Thought at first glance it said Hows the Skyrim DC-9
Fact is with the first one I posted, it was planned to be Boeing Field to Halifax (my usual flight before throwing a narrowbody over the atlantic, did it for every 737 I have in Europe), but I stayed at mach .84 or something the entire flight, basically too fast, and decided to cut it short for safety and landed in Bangor. Because of that, I was too far to make it over the ocean in the next leg, and ended up additionally flying 1:30 to St. Johns beforehand
theyll mod anything in to skyrim these days
Ngl for now the only part of the CSS 737 that actually annoys me is that you can only start from C&D
They promise more panel states in the next update
i hate the panel states that are already started up, i like knowing what is on and off in the aircraft, so i always start from C&D
Well starting C&D isn't necessarily realistic either
You'll only start C&D if it's the first flight in a while for the aircraft
And if you start from the 'turnaround state', most of the time it's not like something's gonna be on in the plane
The plane's still off after all
Really you just will spend less time checking all the switches
And well, the battery will be on tbf, that's it
One of the worst shifts I’ve ever done
Also
If anyone wonders what GPS spoofing looks like in a 737 FMC
Pretty decent Ryanair cabin
Not particularly accurate but it’s better than it was before
The oven in the foreground is a nice touch
It’s used for transporting them between bases
finally
In that case why not contact them and provide references?
I mean… just with TSW alone, you see how well that works out usually
ok so I'm doing the fastest transatlantic I will ever do probably
volanta estimates the on block time as 15:16 UTC
off block was 09:16 UTC
Transatlantic flights go very fast surprisingly
Trans-pacific flights are painful, I’ve only ever managed to cross the pacific twice, and never in one shot
East coast to Europe is fast at least, you’re only ever over the ocean for a few hours, the rest is New England, north eastern Canada, and Greenland, and then you’re already in European airspace
8 million hours of open ocean
how fun
especially on vatsim cuz you're gonna be on unicom 90% of the time
there's almost never atc in the pacific oceanic areas
I have seen oakland centre online once
I’d probably be fine to fly on VATSIM, but ngl I’m kind of scared to
it's not that bad
pen and paper
and some patience
just don't start at a really busy airport
I started at frankfurt hahn myself
I almost hit another plane
See you in a few minutes 👀
https://twitch.tv/virtualairfestivals
https://youtube.com/@virtualairfestivals
oh?
the shadow display team?
Yes
like 2 hours left
Today's plan: SBGL - SBNT - SBFZ with real timings. Possibly off to SBGR afterwards as well, this flight should go on to Sao Paulo but idk if I have the patience to do it
25 minutes until I should be in the air
ok yeah a transatlantic in 6 hours is nuts
AlpineStudio AS350 may not look the best (used the old nemeth visual model) but she is lovely to fly
like an hour faster
Time to descend
you're using xp11, right?
or not
does the link work
for me it apparently doesnt exist
still doesn't work
fenix having input lag on approach
crazy
owell time to autoland
bro did not try to flare
then what version did I install bro
Bruh
are you kidding me
Please no
Why
genuinely how do captainsim expect people to fly the 717
i wanted to see if i could actually do a flight in it, piss on realism, and i literally cant even set up my flight plan
it chooses a random transition for SID/STAR/APPs, and then you cant delete waypoints that are part of a procedure because then it freaks out and sets your destination to a waypoint
manually inputting every single waypoint enroute seems to work at least, but then you have to set up the restrictions manually
its so tragic, because the external model genuinely looks awesome
wtf, for some reason the traffic display enables terrain too
that's cool, when you unlock the cockpit door seat and fold it out, its impossible to fold back in again
every time i fly this aircraft i find something else horribly wrong with it
i will projectile vomit all over my monitor if i try to land this aircraft i fear
At this point you might as well uninstall the plane it's just wasting your storage
i wanted to try and chargeback on my credit card with the 717 genuinely, and like fuck im going to buy any more captainsim stuff after this so i dont care if they blacklist me, but i really dont feel like going through all that garbage just to get $25 back
You got the flight factor 757?
for XP11, yes
i dont know how far behind their XP11 version is, i havent checked because i really havent planned on upgrading to 12 yet
ive considered maybe upgrading around christmastime, if it even goes on sale, but i havent really put much thought into it
My grandma let me dip into my college account a bit because I’m graduated now, mostly buying professional tier welding equipment, but I gave myself a little on the side just for fun, so I’m eyeing up some stuff
What do you mean not the old one
The old one looks like it has a hairline bro wdym 💀
Tbh that's the only thing that ruins it
Airlines back in the day adding random shit to their livery for no reason
Ah yeah the ANA L-1011's
i really gotta move my planes
uh
third tab 'aircraft'
now then, haven't simmed in ages
I don't think I've ever looked at the map lmao
I've only looked on the left tab
thank you P3D
memories
Ok I gotta move my Boeing 720 tomorrow
I landed in the middle of nowhere New York state and now I gotta fly to JFK
And it's only there cuz I ran out of fuel
I think I have fewer different locations worldwide than you do just in Japan
I flew from Haneda twice & it was alright
That's fair, tbf I've heard there's a bunch of interesting flights there
Makes sense with Japan having so much domestic air travel
But
Tell me this
Is Haneda built around random farmland?
narita yes
Exactly, Haneda isn't, so it's automatically less cool
narita took alot of L's over the year sadly
they abandoned the shinkansen project entirely
then theres alot of goverment dispute because it is farmland and people are annoyed by it
now theres so many airlines there that noone knows what to do with all the passengers
it's also just kinda shit on the inside no offense
i've travelled from both NRT and HND a million times
narita sucked every damn time
Well tbf I'm just joking, I've never been to either (I've never been to Japan overall), so me seriously comparing them would be wrong
the best way to describe them is that
it takes me either almost 4 hours to get home from narita (depending on time and train) or 2 from haneda
shows which one is better fr
I did like flying into and out of Narita in the sim (even if MSFS default one is atrocious), and I do like that it acted as kind of a mini-hub for FedEx, and a genuine hub for Northwest and some others
narita is also in 80% of the cases the cheaper airport
XP12, i've considered the rotate MD-80 too, the 742 freighter, stuff like that
depends on what goes on sale, and what im willing to budget
I suppose no one seen this? https://x.com/xbox/status/1996625547150217319?s=46
Jurassic Park at least had legitimate aviation elements, and works good for bush and heli flights, but stranger things has no place in aviation and makes literally no sense as a crossover
I have been too scared to try autoland in any sim because I don’t trust that it will work
Someone should make a sim autoland certification service or something, like someone goes out and tests autoland for every aircraft and has a master list of if it works or not
fenix and pmdg works
fenix -400 fpm, pmdg -233 fpm
I think I tried it in the pmdg 737 and it didn’t flare and landed extremely hard
But that was also ages ago
t7 works atleast
777
triple 7
@dusty sky
it's up
thats for xp12 though
i dont think theres a xp11 version thats updated anymore
The 737 works too, tried it several times
I've certainly tried it on the 73 and the triple, don't think I've done it on the 320. On the MD-11 possibly, don't remember
Oh, also did it on the ini 340 and 310
u do alot of autolandings huh
Didn't quite like the way it was on the 310 though
._.
china
I found one that works
Well, on the 737 it's mostly when I'm just very tired. Like the latest autoland on it was into Anchorage at 6am after already completing 4 very manual landings
On the 777 it was on one of my first flights in windy conditions into LAX, I decided to not risk it
On the 340 it was on my first flight with it and mainly due to the fact ini planes are a bit annoying to control with a keyboard
I have no idea what I'm doing bro 😭
And my only autoland with the 310 was in genuine CAT III conditions tbf
brother u fly with a keyboard
id only use autoland fr
Oh it's not too bad
PMDG stuffs and the MD-11 behave very nicely
So does the Fenix
Been flying with a keyboard for over 1.5 years now
