#Signals

in the UK there are generally 3 or 4 'aspects'/lights on a signal
- red/danger - there is a train in the 'block' (area between one signal and another) directly ahead
- amber/caution - the next signal will be red/'at danger'
3 (4 aspect signalling only). double yellow/preliminary caution - the next signal is yellow/'at caution' - green/clear - there are no trains in the next 3/4 blocks
the process of a signal clearing
sometimes you will see flashing aspects - these show that you will be changing track soon

very good wikipedia thing about it here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UK_railway_signalling
Thanks
Following on, is there certain speeds train drivers do at signals
Like if they were doing 90MPH
And a double yellow signal appeared
Do they slow down or stay at 90
company policy generally
but a decent rule of thumb is to do no more than 45 at a single yellow
the aim is to keep moving, not stop and start
Is that for irl or game
game mostly, irl it depends on company policy
