#Ads on website tricked me into giving information to scam.

Can you elaborate on the issue?
I can't if I keep being removed from the server.
I have a legitmate concern regarding this.
I'm very upset that you guys had me turn off my ad blocker to sign up and I immediately got tricked to give all my information to a scam through an ad on your site.
Including payment information.
You guys should not be forcing people to turn off their ad blocker if you're going to use ads as insecure as google adsense where people can fall victim to scams like this.
Is this server being run by children? Why do I keep getting kicked from the server for voicing a legitimate concern? I'm researching what I can do to get this "company" to delete my information and I likely am going to have to call my bank to freeze/cancel my credit card because of this.
It is not being ran by children, you are getting kicked because you have not signed up for the service also regarding your concern
While I understand your concern, It's really important to stay cautious when browsing, especially with ads that could be deceptive. Unfortunately, this kind of thing is more about user precautions rather than the website itself.
Also to note: You can report advertisements and get them taken off if needed.
My apologies for that statement, I am verified now. And I am aware, I was signing up on my phone and the ad was extremely deceptively made to look like what was required to create an account for your site.
I'm also aware that numerous ads on google ad sense are scams, and it's a really crappy thing to force your users to turn off their ad blocker when something like this can happen to them.
Running a discord bot 24/7 and a website 24/7 is not free, also this is a user precaution issue, not a website issue.
we do not deal with such things in help tickets as well, so I will shortly redirect you to a moderator/upper staff.
Okay
Hello, I appreciate your concern however (If I'm correct) we do not have control over what's advertised on our website. We require users to turn off ad block as that is what keeps our service running, same as most other websites.
We would never ask for payment information on sign up, or even ever unless you're planning on purchasing premium.
It's recommended you also check the website you're actually on before you enter your card information.
It was on your site, it only portaled me through to their site once I put in my information. I was not aware of your policies while signing up as I just looked into joined a 6 mans server about an hour ago and saw this was the biggest one. I'm aware that running a service like this is not free, but you guys are opening up users to fall for scams like this forcing them to turn off an ad blocker to use your site. You may not care, but that is not in the user's best interest, as what was shown in this situation.
Is this the one you were talking about?
I saw two options, play and play now, I clicked play now, followed what seemed to be the proper route to make an account, and somehow ended up making an account for another site while still on your page.
It most likely was that ad from what i can see
I've already cancelled my credit card and dealt with it on my end. But you guys really shouldn't force users to turn off their ad blocker and have them possibly deal with this. Especially if they don't notice it as quickly as I did, because they wanted to charge $75 to my card in the next couple weeks.
We will look to try and have those ads removed if we can, but please be more cautious when you're online and never enter your card details into a website you know nothing about
