#Idea for how Glyde gets his flight ability back in full game

Towards the end of the game, Glyde meets a Wind Dragon called Aerostar. (Voiced by myself.) Aerostar is desperately trying to take flight again, flapping his wings as hard as he can at a steady pace while chanting "I think I can, I think I can, I think I can, I think I can!" In reference to The Little Engine That Could. He manages to get a few feet off the ground and hover there for about 8 seconds before dropping back down, but is convinced he can overcome his heaviness induced by the corruption and refuses to give up. Glyde greets him and they talk about what Aerostar's doing for a bit, before Aerostar tells him that he's convinced that the dragons have still been able to fly this whole time, it's just been a lot harder, and most dragons think they can't because they don't have enough faith in themselves as they feel the corruption is too strong for them to overcome, but Aerostar doesn't believe this. Glyde then realises that since he's cleared the world of so much corruption by this point, he's starting to feel lighter again. So maybe if he uses Aerostar's "I think I can!" philosophy, he might be able to take flight again.

(Cut to an animated cutscene.): With encouragement from Aerostar, Glyde too starts flapping his wings at a hard yet steady pace while chanting I think I can, I think I can, I think I can, I think I can!" All the while, an instrumental version of "Nothing can stop us now." from the 1991 adaptation of The Little Engine that could is playing in the background. It takes Glyde a lot of effort, but finally, his claws lift off the ground, and he's able to hover even higher than Aerostar could, and even perform a couple of simple aerobatic moves. Glyde is absolutely elated at being able to fly again, as are Wing and Aerostar. Glyde tells Aerostar to keep up his own attempts at taking flight again, to which Aerostar agrees and bids Glyde and Wing farewell, before they fly off to take down the corruption once and for all.

Then of course Aerostar re-appears during the final cutscene of the game to congratulate Glyde for saving their world and complement his efforts and newfound elemental abilities. You could also go back and talk to Aerostar after completing the game and talk a bit about Aerostar himself and the world's lore or something IDK.

Personally speaking, I don't think the inability to fly should just be a mental block. There should be something either physically or metaphysically preventing them from flying. In the demo, dragons mention that their wings and their bodies feel heavy, possibly because the corruption saps their energy or something. I don't think your idea is bad but I'm not sure it really fits with what Vale is going for.

As far as suggesting an OC be placed in and voiced by you, that's a bold strategy. I'll give you that. I'm not sure the process to voice a character or have a specific character brought into the game.

Perhaps. But again I'm sure there's an entire process. Would imagine having voice acting experience would help with that. And a decent quality mic would probably be required.

And trying to learn to fly again makes sense because even for sports people when they get injured they will have difficulty to try to becoming the same again

Oh yeah sure, the corruption still physically makes flying much harder for the dragons, but not to the point of it being completely impossible, as most of them seem to believe. And as I said, after Glyde has cleared so much corruption from the world by this point, the dragons are starting to feel lighter again, enabling a handful of them to fly again, Glyde and Aerostar in particular. Then of course once the corruption is defeated once and for all, all the dragons return to their normal weight and can fly again.
