While I can’t defend the visuals, I imagine there’s a chunk of game design decisions going on about to whom said game is being targeted, what genre they want to use (puzzle games can be intriguing), etc. Avatar: The Last Airbender appeals to groups across many ages, so It’s something they gotta weigh well.

Fighting games.. If you mean like arcade style fighting…i feel is a niche that can be hard to get into and get right (see: Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid and the trouble it had, and even when it was great, it didn’t get the notice it should’ve)

I imagine they saw a puzzle platform as having an easy enough jumping into point that anyone could play it

Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom do what they set out to do, and are fairly well built. Some gripes on my end just from the nature of open world they went with, puzzles, and breakable weapons. solid sandbox games at least (especially Tears), just not my thing

So playing it for a bit, it’s really not that bad of a game, the graphics are pretty solid (due to running on an Unreal Engine), even the voice cast is not bad also, just the camera is so annoying to deal with, it’s set behind the location but it shifts from left to right and back constantly giving me a headache at times.
