The way I’ve noticed him working, is he will either AOE instantly in the match, which can wreck you because no buffs on your units if you have weak units
Other times
It’s if he attacks normally
He buffs himself and gets charging state
And if he does AOE after that, you’re really screwed

Pretty much what you want to do
Is a couple of strategies
First strat
Speed stun/knockdown strat
See if you have a unit that can stun or knockdown often, add accuracy and speed, and go nuts and make sure they always take the first turn
That way you can keep debuffing zuko and fighting without much of a problem
Second strat
The tank and heal strat
War paint sokka shines here
Since he can tank decently well
And you can use a relic
That allows him to heal the whole party and time he receives a buff
Which happens whenever he attacks with a different weapon
Strategies vary depending on relics and units you have
But the key things you want to do is make sure he does as little damage as possible or doesn’t attack at all
So airbending debuffs do well against him

I used a combo of zuko and mind aang on the opponent's mind aang. His mind aang somehow, using the skill that puts him into avatar state, stunned my aang with a knockdown, which then prevented me from going into avatar state, so that his suki and zuko could then gangbang aang, so I didn't get to even use my skill for 100% increase in turn bar to retaliate. How the heck did his mind aang even knock down my aang using the Avatar State transformation??

It was the same with Dojo Master, Kiwaq, and Boqin, so the buffs granted by Taliriktug should work
But I have no idea why the other ones don't work too

i was against tyro, bumi, and the attack and tank omashu soldiers... not sure if any of them can block a buff off top of my head

Earth benders block buffs with their element
Earth element debuff blocks buffs and decreases defense
at T3, it also stuns an enemy for three turns.
Fire element debuff does max hp damage and increases per tier, including decreasing defense and I think increasing attack damage taken too
At T3 it's like 75 percent increasing attack damage taken with 50 percent defense taken while also dealing 15 percent max hp damage or so.
Water element debuff decreases speed and defense too, at T3 it freezes an opponent
Not sure what else it does I forgot
and then air decreases attack and defense, and at T3 disables advanced skills.
mind aang should be having a speed up buff
at the absolute least, it's in his mastery
But I'm pretty sure avatar state activates it.
