But using LLM to do work that needs math directly just will not work.

In LLMs, 1 + 2 = 3 is no different from Apple + Orange = Cucumber
It has no idea of math, just tokens.

So LLM has no idea what 2+2=4 means, just that it is more common in its training data than 2+2=5.

So for common simple math questions, it will output correctly, as that combination of tokens is common in the training data.
For anything else, you get whatever random collection of tokens (numbers) instead.

With a more elaborate LLM implementation, you can recognize tokens that relate to numbers and parse the request through a maths engine, then feed that output back into the LLM

Most USB m.2 adapters are for SATA drives tho, so nvme will be hard to find and expensive
Plus, hmb only works via pcie, so if you're using a usb m.2 enclosure with a dramless drive, sustained write performance is gonna suck immensely

Japanese game coding strikes again:

apparently the vkd3d-proton patches (manual application) and different proton versions with experimental bleeding edge too didn't fix this bitcoin mining game called Death Stranding 2. The cpu insane usage (above 70% constant) and performance drops (under 60fps on high end gpus) still happens with any type of hardware, while i tested on windows 11 and cpu usage is lower than 40-30% (doesn't even reach tbh) and stable fps with RT disabled

yes, it's known. The game is spinning on "is network connected" in a tight loop on all background threads or something insane
apparently windows is very "slow" when doing those queries, so it probably thrashes the CPU less

the impact is pretty significant even in the main menu

i'd have some different choices, but i love the stand

like making the footstand a bit bigger to route the IO cables for example

because once everything is connected it will look like a mess sadly
