also how tf can you have upload as good as download
it is usually haft the speed of download
I have 30/5 on mobile internet, lol
it can be near syncronus
in the uk, 900/100 is common a new company has built a network on the top of the existing one
the engineer today told me he had no idea why it would be limited
much better pings now too
thanks yt
85 views
very trending
yeah recently it gave me a video of someones like 12 year olds birthday party
btw I see you Noah. Happy belated birthday.
They want to give smaller viewers a chance, so every x video is low view. Regardless of quality.
Mixed feelings.
which tbh is really fun.
I understand what they trying to do, but this is not the way.
yea
Half the time, I get the wrong videos. Not suited for me.
and really crappy quality 😒
I like the concept of supporting smaller creators but its not even remotely with something im interested in
nah it's fun. Sometimes you get just pure gold
it's always the 3rd video in the list at the side.
1/10 videos
"How to get Sandbox Mode Codes in Roblox Toilet Tower ...." 753 views
Yeah, shiity code.
i have yet to get this
Good intentions, but shit code 😂
tf you watching is my question
yeah a lot of the time it's just pure garbage. Like wtf is Linus Tech Tips?
youtube back at it
Those videos only get like 10 views...
🤣 was permascrolling thru shorts cuz i was bored, and then BAM knee replacement surgery where they lifted the guy's leg up and OUT POPS HIS FEMUR
That's just gold.
You gotta give the smaller content creators a chance you know
I have shorts blocked out completely on my desktop
i hope so
i'm predicting another week before they start suggesting those beheading videos that scarred us all 15 years ago
i hope not
I heard you can find some pretty fucked up things still on YT. Like animals fighting eachother for bets and stuff.
oh yea you can
Haven't searched for it myself, some developer told me.
that's old. We on bodycam footage now
its all over shorts if you scroll far enough
i think the algorithm or AI they're using can't tell the difference between nature doc stuff & what's basically cockfighting rings
Can it tell the difference between humans hugging and choking eachother?
Doubt YT uses AI though. Probably some underpayed employees who quit after a week 😂
no idea, & i'm certain google ain't about to reveal that
unless they publish it to github too
Facebook had the same problem. The moderators kept on quiting because of mental health. All the shit they had to read daily, humans can only take so much.
that stuff & outright mis/disinformation needs to be caught, they just don't wanna pay people enough to do it
like this garbage
it is lifes biggest question though
Is it me, or is this science stuff getting out of hand? Half or maybe more seems fake?
If we cannot believe in science videos anymore... there is no hope.
it ain't science
i just dont watch science stuff on youtube unless its like nilered
Yeah, but they act like it is 😒
What about Neil?
who
Yeah exactly. Watched it.
He has a YT channel. Pretty leggit.
startalk.
meh dont really care for that sort of stuff
not space videos
Eh, I didn't. But then I did. It's really interesting.
i think he peaked with the cosmos reboot, i've had a hard time watching him lately
Veritasium is also leggit.
pbs eons, smarter every day, veritasium, crash course, those are my main science
yea, some stuff I dont really care for
Yet 😄
I dont got time 😭
Boom indeed.
need to watch online news india 1
i like the practical science channels that show process & product, not just speculation
Pure gold.
too clickbaity for my taste.
Who is speculation?
curious droid is a good one too
Half of science is speculation untill proven wrong. Still interesting.
Like black matter.
oh i mean the channels that'll make/do stuff, not just chat about things
like mark rober type science
Oh like that, yeah I am also more of the practical type.
adam savage, mark rober, those guys
"science"
slow mo guys
nah styropro and all that shebang
i mean, mark's stuff is definitely clickbaity, but also he has hardware on mars, so he knows what he's talking about
man does not need more car batteries
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DTvS9lvRxZ8 This Mark Rober?

that mark rober
yea
Very scientific 😂
yeah but mark rober got so so so so so boring
why i said "science"
same music in all his videos 😭
also i love the restoration channels that show how old things work as part of the process
hey guys you wanna see a glitterbomb for the 300th time?
the real restoration, theres a lot of fake restoration videos
I like this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=osUTMnDFV30

I moved into a new shop with some massive blank walls. I thought I would break in the new spa...
It's tiny bit of science and practical and entertaining.
curious droid is great for aerospace history
i've noticed scott manley's been really leaning into more science than gaming stuff lately
only science I watch the the science on how GME goes UP UP UP 🚀 🌑 💎
How did boeing space mission go?
dont think it exploded
not amazing but it docked

went from 1 to 3 helium leaks
should go the oceangate route tbh
boeing says they can have 4 more leaks before "it's a problem"
Barry Eugene Wilmore is 61
suni's 58
Jeez...
Then again. Training astronauts is expensive.
So better use them untill they die 😂
they got old because of how long it's taken boeing to get here
they're both great people tho
butch looks fantastic for 61
easier to explain the death when they blow that whistle
butch also installed the forward docking adapter 10 years ago that they used yesterday, so he got to test his work
& she ran 2 marathons while on the ISS
Also this:
Starliner is carrying a crucial replacement pump that helps convert urine on the space station into drinkable water. The pump failed last week, and since then, urine has been stored in bags on the space station while the crew awaits the replacement pump
oh yea, they definitely are excited for that
How many bags do they have
i hope they brought 2 replacements
bro got that WoW space station
Also, running 2 marathons on the ISS might not be that crazy.
with the head 🤣
Oh wait, it's real
😛
Man... all that money is being spend well I see 😄
i mean, it's 1 sticker
Ofc 😄 They are allowed to have fun.
And that head is motivating AF 😄
i love it. it sure beats the boring industrial number stuff that usually goes along with nasa stuff
atm i'm more worried about the russian section hemorrhaging
Sabotage.
i think it's metal fatigue from age
some of that stuff sat for 10 years before being launched, then has been up there for 25 years
"The leaks are a sensitive subject. Because of Russian war efforts, the resources available to the country's civil space program will remain flat or even decrease in the coming years."
"They have repaired multiple leak locations, but additional leak locations remain," the NASA spokesperson said. "Roscosmos has yet to identify the cracks’ root cause, making it challenging to analyze or predict future crack formation and growth."
i mean, russia said they were planning on just shutting the hatch one day & detaching from the int'l section, so there's that
Fuck me. That's a rough situation. Political. Economical. And for the ISS and it's crew.
I am happy to read that they keep cordial relationship with NASA.
Nothing good will come from letting earth problems become space problems. If you know what I mean 😊
russia has zvezda, which powers thrusters, & the int'l side makes most of the electricity
Oh ISS will be decomission in 2030 I read?
if it makes it that long
Yeah, hopefully they can learn from it.
What will they do with it? Would be cool if they can bring it back to earth for science.
nah, burn up
Ah, fuck.
plan's in place already
Then they could look at the damage and maybe learn from it.
ditch in the southern pacific where there's nobody to risk hitting
Kinda sad...
i think they're hoping that gateway will be up & running before they ditch it
Would be cooler if they could retrieve it.
way too big, sadly
It's the first space station afaik.
Really? What happened to the first two?
burned up
oh also skylab
so 4th i guess
ISS is the 2nd modular station where it was assembled
skylab & salyut were put up in 1 launch
Oh right I remember hearing about the first generations, they had a big focus on military too.
skylab almost felt like cheating since they used a saturn V
Mir got retired in 1998 because it got moldy
Funny how they ditched the idea of militarising space. And now we have a Space Force
Doesn't ISS also have a mold "problem". Something they need to monitor closely.
That sounds more out of a movie.
they also had a full on uncontrolled fire inside
plus on russia's first try with docking an automated resupply it missed & hit a solar panel
Apparantly there is also Tiangong-1 and 2 and current gen*.
yea the latest one is modular, first one was just a big capsule
that's supposed to be part of the lunar missions
Yeah... step by step 😄
i know they talked about reusing some sections of the ISS, but decided they were already too old
It's part of the Artemis program.
I don't see anything else planned though for NASA.
i hope we'll still get something big around earth after it's gone
i'll miss spotting it in the evenings
Went star gazing in the mountain in Tennerife a few weeks ago, but didn't spot the space station 😄
I mean, if we ever want to have anything sustainable up in space, scientist have a lot of problems to solve.
But maybe I watch too much sci-fi 😂
oh for sure, but it's been up there for 25 years, not bad
Either we need to find a way to repair it cheap in space.
Make it more sturdy.
Or find a way to get it down to earth safely for repairs.
That's what I like about spaceX.
reusable rockets is a good step forward.
or make big sections of it easily replaceable
Yeah, but that still sounds costly 😄
true, but cheaper than impossible 🤣
would be neat if we could deorbit stuff with a big fat heat shield, aim for the desert or a shallow lake, and retrieve stuff to recycle
or ocean with a float system.
thing is, it's so costly to shoot stuff into space atm. I just read that it's already hard to get enough water to ISS, that's why they recycle piss.
yup, but also the cost keeps coming down
I think the next big step is, reusable. Everything we do atm in space, but with reuseability in mind.
oh 100%
Then we can expand further and further and solve problems 😄
Getting resources up into space is still a major issue.
that's why starship is so amazing, 100% reusable launch vehicle
falcon's nice, but that upper stage gets ditched no matter what
spaceX is doing cool stuff though. NASA is a bit more conventional 🙂
i'm still shocked that nobody besides a few small attempts by rocketlab has even tried to go for reusability
wdym, we just talked about spaceX no?
oh i mean in competition with spacex
their reuse is why the cost has been coming down
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gA6ppby3JC8 This is so cool 😄
On March 3, Starship serial number 10 (SN10) completed SpaceX’s third high-altitude flight test of a Starship prototype as it successfully ascended, transitioned propellant, and reoriented itself for reentry and an active aerodynamic controlled descent. SN10’s Raptor engines reignited to perform the vehicle’s landing flip maneuver immediately be...
watching the shock waves coming off the booster yesterday was amazing
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bYb3bfA6_sQ starhopper is great too!
the memes about "sir, your grain silo is leaving" were great
Haha, fuck it 😄
It's expensive, it looks useless. But we gotta do this to advance.
Even from all the failures, they probably learned.
oh 100%
i'd be concerned if they had succeeded with everything on the first flight
would have no idea where the weak spots are
Or miscalculations.
And then it goes up into space, and they still discover they made mistakes or didn't think of things.
i can't imagine if the pad had survived the first few launches, but then failed when they started carrying cargo or people
Maybe they were so focused on the rocket, they overlooked the pad
oh we'll see some spectacular explosions when they start trying to land the booster
It makes a lot of sense, that pad is getting beaten
don't know who takes more punishment, the rockets or the pad 😂
seeing those car-sized chunks go flying on the first flight was kinda scary
Did they eventually go for water cooling the pad?
On Friday (April 21), Musk tweeted that SpaceX started building a "a massive water-cooled, steel plate to go under the launch mount" three months ago. The plate wasn't ready in time for the debut Starship launch, but SpaceX went ahead with it anyway, figuring that the orbital mount's underlying concrete — a special heat-resistant type called Fondag — could survive one liftoff.
"But sir, the pad isn't ready yet." - "Launch it anyway I say!" 😂
Sounds a lot like development features.
Or games getting released half baked. (Cyberpunk)
Still, might have been cheaper to postpone launch than damaging the pad.
just a bit
especially since the ship then bored a hole in the ground after ripping up the concrete
That force though ... 👀
Too bad all that energy is wasted.
Would be cool if we could do something with it.
i mean, it's not wasted
I mean it's not wasted wasted.
gotta lift it somehow
If it launched the rocket, that's energy well spent.
yea true
But what about the heat? We just cool it.
If we could reuse the heat for something usefull 🙂
74kN thrust on liftoff
more than double the saturn V
kinda amazed anything can tolerate that
i can't wait to see it liftoff with some big cargo, see that thing crawl at the start
the first starships will just carry starlink
next will have longer cargo bays for big stuff
then human rating
The plan:
lol it ain't going to mars in 2027
i don't see it going to the moon till at least then
Ambition 😄
my guess is we'll see the NERVA revival go there before starship
it's why they chose methane, easy to produce & store on mars
yup
You can't just land and get it you know.
i had an idea for the first starship missions
just fill them full of inert stuff that's tough to get on mars, & maybe land them intentionally, but probably just slam them into the ground. either way you get your base materials to work with
no fancy buildings or organic stuff that'll get fried when exposed to mars, just stuff like ingots of steel and copper
scattered all over the place 👍
why not? at least it'll be there & relatively pure
you still need, like I said, things that can collect. Like more mars robots.
oh 100%
and with different capabilities than the ones we have now.
but this'd mostly bypass the need to extract & refine mars soil, or scout for locations of specific materials
just aim for an area where we're gonna land people anyway, that way it's not too far to travel
also maybe the first deployment should be enough fuel to enter orbit & set up a big fat communication satellite network
Yeah, a foundation.
Elon is talking about blowing up polars to teraform mars. I think he's tripping and thinking WAY too far a head.
first trips should be to verify there's no life, then if that's the case send in geologists to find the resource locations
Not sure if you remember that: www.smithsonianmag.com/smart-news/elon-musk-wants-nuke-mars-180956574/
i prefer the kurzgesagt method of using lasers to melt everything
i love the skyhook concept
So. Space elevators. Are they are thing that we should talk about?

Videos like that are pretty dope.
Yeah, I think I've seen that one too
It's entertaining, but sometimes a bit too much "What if ..." not really bases on facts. Can't find the right words. Abstract?
i'd also love to see a blimp on venus that we live inside at 1atm normal pressure
Did you hear about that expirement of the mars base that they had to abort because of social issues?
oh yea 🤣 that was not too far from me
That's another thing we have to fix 😄
Hypothetical! That was the word I was looking for.
i think we'll need to send a lot of people to keep everyone sane. variety of interaction is critical
No. What we need is internet.
🤣
If they have internet, everything will be fine 😄
If I get send to the other side of the universe, and I have my PC and my internet. I would be a happy man 😂
that should be one of the starship deliveries to mars orbit. satellite with a gigantic internet archive server so they don't have to have a super slow connection back to earth
pew pew pew
I need to pitch this idea to Elon.
🤣
"Yo Elon, all you need for humans to be chill on mars is internet."
Mars can just have X, ban facebook!
Imagine, a bunch of people on mars, just checking Youtube, Netflix, Facebook, Tik-Tok....
isnt that what "Stars on Mars" was
with a local server they could set up their own apps
I am kinda surprised I never heard of any social issues on ISS.
Probably because they are trained and professional.
because astronauts arnt stupid people ?
Still, can't always be easy living so close together.
also they know that if there's a genuine problem they're 4 hours from home
Yeah, they get preselected. 80% or more isn't probably suitable.
Including me. Don't send me up to space 😂
takes a certain kind of mental mindset, and they screen for that
OMG THEY ARE PROFILING
i do know they have duct tape & sedatives for.....um......"problems"
In February of this year, the latest batch of pioneers, a crew of four, made the journey up the mountain. They settled in for an eight-month stay. Four days later, one of them was taken away on a stretcher and hospitalized.
Hahahaha, 4 days 😂
at least they're learning how to work with the psychology before just sending people
they have a velcro wall and the backs of their suits is all felt ... when one misbehaves they throw them against the wall
Nah, they send space force after you.
Sorry, you both are 🇺🇸, I shouldn't laugh at your space force.
nah, i find it dumb too
in my defense, there is literal a Netflix show mocking it though 😂
if it was under the air force, it'd make sense
Sparce Farce
Yeah... but even the camouflage makes no sense
What you going to do with that in space? (source: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uniforms_of_the_United_States_Space_Force)
in space, they never see you coming
Find a forest and hide in it? And if you are not going into space, then what's the purpose?
Or is it like a multi functional branch? Trained for earth and beyond?
i think part of it is that they're embedded in other branches
would make comrades a nice big target if 12 are in camo & one's in a full on apollo suit
its for all those earthlike planets they hope to invade... er ... explore ...
Do they even have a spacecraft that is viable for space?
The Space Force is the smallest U.S. armed service, consisting of 8,600 military personnel.[1] It operates** 77 spacecraft**....
yea, like i said, makes no sense, at least for now. i can see it being a thing in 20 years, but not now
You even got "Spacepower: Doctrine for Space Forces" ... this sounds ... weird 😂
Spacepower... really?
our space force aircraft utilize anti-gravity drives and thus can get into space and back with very little effort and fuss... also very stealthy as no plumes of white exhaust
We can't even keep ISS up for more than 25 years and that takes cooperation of MULTIPLE countries. Hell, even Russia!
Honestly, I think it's **WAY ** too soon for this ...
yeah, i need to be drunk
I can see it become necessary in the very very distant future.
When multiple countries start to colonize different planets or something.
Mainly to secure resources.
eh, if humanity gets to that point, pretty sure its gonna crash n burn before that
Don't know, I can see it happen. Maybe.
i don't like it as a concept because it's blatantly militarizing space
i can see it all crashing down in my lifetime, OR getting past certain advancements in spacecraft which allows us to explode into the galaxy
Yeah, but that's what we did with earth since ... the start of humankind?
yea, one of those "we really should know better by now" things
So, just based on looking at history, I think there is a high chance of happening again in the future?
once humanity stops killing itself and realizes its all the same race ... what we need is an alien invasion to band us together .... HELLDIVERS FOR DEMOCRACY!
That's why I respect and like history a lot, you can sometimes predict the future with it.
It's just chance based (math). It's a pattern.
you should watch the show "Foundation"
I always said that, to unite humans, we need a external threat.
its entirely about that
and EVEN THEN, it's not a guarantee.
i'd rather skip that BS & go to a united jump to the solar system
if we can terraform mars to liveable, that would really push boundries
thanks again yt
Yahti Elongi ?
I didn't watch Foundation, I watched The Expanse 😄
I am so confused. One the title. Two the thumbnail.
the expanse is crap compared to Foundation 😉
asteroid mining in the belt, setting up waystations on the Moon, Phobos, & Deimos
I really liked the Expanse.
I was kinda pissed they didn't finish it 😒
because the expanse completely dropped the ball on what made it interesting to begin with ... the alien shit angle!
Jeff Bezos bought it up for another season because he liked it too 😄
maybe some big fat stations at 120/240 degrees in front of earth for
monitoring the solar system
That's what happens in the books too 🤷♂️
In the last book, they even make a big jump into the future. It was too expensive for the show to pull this off, so they ditched it. That's what a friend told me.
i kept watching it ... "come on, get back to the alien shit already..." "stop pussying around about slaves and human rights, and bullshit, fuck get back to the sci-fi alien shit!"
Hell, we are fish in the water for astroids at this point.
yup
There was this experiment with that rocket fridge to change the angle of a astroid.
fish in a bucket
first step is the sentinel around venus we need asap
Ah, fish in a bucket 😄 Thank you.
ive lost all hope for the algo
(barrel)
Double Asteroid Redirection Test (DART) was a NASA space mission aimed at testing a method of planetary defense against near-Earth objects (NEOs). It was designed to assess how much a spacecraft impact deflects an asteroid through its transfer of momentum when hitting the asteroid head-on. The selected target asteroid, Dimorphos, is a minor-plan...
It's 3 AM here. My brain is not fully functional anymore.
🤣
oh the irony
I really think DART is a cool idea.
was neat to see them get good info out of it
It's small, it's doable, it involves science and a bit of luck 😄
I think it's the most viable idea against astroids at this point.
Better than "giant laser" or "mega shield around the earth".
i mean, i still want both of those too
Or even nukes!
not that tho
Because if you blow it up, the debris would collect again and still hit us.
So nuking it would be pretty bad.
and now you have multiple chunks to deal with
Yeah, and they pull together too.
Since they have mass, they have gravity.
So just changing the orbit seems the wisest option.
And the other problem is: detecting the course of astroids.
sentinel would help with that
agree
and we already had astroids hit us
big one near me
Did you get a sample? 😄
Europe seems to be spared. Atleast west and south 😄
Oof!
LOL 😂 They made a visitors center next to it.
Typical humans.
beats having it uncontrolled
That's a map of meteorite impacts with dates.
I wonder what the diameter has to be for an astroid to not burn up.
i suspect speed is also a factor
However, as a general guideline, asteroids smaller than about 25 meters in diameter typically burn up completely in the atmosphere and pose little threat to the Earth's surface. Larger asteroids can survive entry and cause damage upon impact.
You are 100% right.
various factors such as the asteroid's composition, speed, angle of entry, and atmospheric conditions.
i always wonder if we'll find direct evidence of the Theia impactor
Oh, the birth of our moon theory.
also the 23 degree tilt
I am having a hard time believing anything would deflect from our earth and become a moon.
I cannot visualize it.
if it's a "mostly impact, but some stuff missed" kind of impact, it could happen
But, that would have to leave a MASSIVE crater no?
A new NASA and Durham University simulation puts forth a different theory of the Moon’s origin – the Moon may have formed in a matter of hours, when material from the Earth and a Mars sized-body were launched directly into orbit after the impact. The simulations used in this research are some of the most detailed of their kind, operating at the ...
And it's still a theory. Not fact.
i think it's currently the best explanation, but yea
Oh, it happened when earth was in fluid form?
or just starting to cool off, but that kind of impact would 100% remelt it
Ah, yeah that makes more sense.
and at that size & speed, everything's a fluid
And then it wouldn't leave a crater.
Because in massive form, I cannot see it happen tbh.
It would just obliterate earth.
Stuff like this picture.
nah, don't belive that. In liquid form or cooling down. Maybe.
Just so crazy to know what earth has been through to get to this point.
billion of years, my mind cannot comprehend it.
humans are nothing considering planets are billions year old. And we think getting 100 year old is an accomplishment 😄
Anyway, bed time. 👋 🛏️ 😴
They've done interesting simulations.. tests with light gas guns. Something like a drop of water can vaporize and blow a hole through several inches of aluminum if it's moving fast enough
As the objects collide the projectile becomes plasma and turns the area around the impact area into plasma too
Or just all the hits had been hidden by humans by the time we started looking for them.
With documenting in mind, iron from such hits was very sough after for long time.
And ISS was supposed to be retired long time ago with replacement.
But as the funding for the replacement never materialized, it has been kept going for way over the design-life.
Causing all sorts of issues over time.
A piece of plastic did that
At orbital speeds, it doesn't matter what the impactor is made of.
That was ground side test to see the effects.
I watched a show called cosmos with Neil degass Tyson. Pretty good watch if you can find it. The only evidence of meteorite strikes is called shock diamonds. They're formed from carbon containing materials during a high energy impact. Like a meteorite... or a nuclear bomb
Yeah, at those speeds everything behaves as a fluid.
Planet sized rock hitting another planet sized rock at orbital speeds, they're fluids, not rocks.. its like two drops of water combine to become a bigger drop
And the whole thing becomes a molten hot mass of liquid rock.
No, seems I was wrong, not enough time for even that.
I would think there would be a cloud of plasma during impact. At least with the atmospheric gases
I think cosmos touched on the formation of our rock based off of what we know.
wdym, hidden by humans? That they filled up giant craters?
I don't think that's the reason.
That in area with most humans, the features that contained already refined ores are not there for some reason?
When the spread should be pretty uniform.
For long time the best iron you could get came from the asteroid impact craters.
Or from iron nodules in swamps etc.
Also any other terrain modifications and building that would make the contours from the impact after weathering less distinct.
Isn't it also part of observation we have like tiny leftovers of gold from would otherwise be big chunks? Like terrain features reminding craters etc
Lot of ways to determine spot was impact site without the crater.
But no-one is going to test everywhere.
So if the major features have been modified or obstructed before last few tens of years with LIDAR sats, good luck finding the site if it wasn't known before.
And when most of that missing area has been heavily habitated during middle ages and later, with large scale agriculture everywhere etc.
IMHO human activity in last 2000 years absolutely explains why there aren't that many known impact sites in the heavily populated areas of Europe.
Whops, sorry, forgot to remove the ping.
It's has to do with the angle of our earth, the atmosphere and the shifting of tectonic plates.
I agree with humans being a good explanation
Maybe looking at different areas globally will show similar but less pronounced activity?
back in the day, it seemed like so many people were taking photographs of UFOs... these days almost the entire surface of the planet is covered with humans carrying cameras in their pockets, yet we see no sighting cases
one might think that with higher quality camers the "unidentified" portion of the UFO seized existing
terminology also shifted to UAP - unexplained aerial phenomenon
cuz sometimes it's just optical physics fuckery and nothing actually flying
mirage
Best buy employee:can i help you today?
Me in my head:i know more than you
Me outloud:no
toxic
The most
I’ve experienced multiple times where i will ask the employee some technical question and they can’t answer it.
remember: they're retail staff
In tech. Should at least know some stuff.
you don't ask a car dealer how to fix your engine
Should have at least some knowledge
they should at least know the difference between the mac and pcs they sell
and even then, some seem to think the mac is a tablet
define "some technical question" then
i wouldn't assume that any retail staff knows about the differences in SSD controllers - let alone which controller and NAND is used in the drives they sell
unless i walked into MicroCenter ...
then i expect them to know what rom version is on the motherboard im holding 😄
I want to get an 8TB sabrent drive for my pc but it’s expensive af.
welcome to 8TB NVMe
I know that and i can afford it but ugh.
Choose Storage
I have over $20k saved. So money isnt an issue
just go dual 4TB
No.
why not 😄
US75 is $220 rn
Cuz one slot is already taken up by a 250gb drive i use for just the os.
Its slc i believe or mlc so it will last awhile. Thats why i still use it
mb doesnt have 3 slots or more?
ooah
Yeah.
I doubt we ever had an actual SLC drive
MLC totally possible, iirc 970 Pro was the last one sold with it
Btw, whats the difference between corsair xtm50 and xtm70 thermal paste?
that said, it's 250GB and has experienced a lot of writes, so it might be nearing the end of its life
Slc and mlc have a higher endurance than qlc
idk. Doesn't really matter anyway, MX4 and MX6 are all you ever need (or Thermalright TF7/TF8)
it's still 250GB in OS use
and I'm comparing to TLC btw, QLC is still a non-factor for me outside heavily discounted 4TB drives
it's an OS drive, it's gonna experience a lot of wear, more than a game drive (pagefile etc)
Thats why its on a slc or mlc(i dont remember which it is)
just because it is MORE durable doesn't mean it can't reach the end of its lifespan
you can read out the amount of TBW it had so far
and compare it to the specsheet rating
also, I'm fairly sure it's MLC as I'm yet to see a single SLC NVMe drive
Where can i read it out at?
Fair enough
in crystaldiskinfo, Total Host Writes
number is given in hex, convert to decimal, that's the amount of LBAs written
then multiply by LBA size on your drive (iirc 512B usually, not sure)
I like my itx build but might convert back to an atx build at some point
Also on top right already decoded:
Top left has % display of how much of the drive determined total writes are still remaining:
Hitting 0% isn't the end, unless the specific drive has intentional firmware bricking at that point.
But says that the manufacturer spec writes have been done.
alright my tech friends - in a pickle so can use some advice. my current PC is having some stability problems. whea logger processor core error for fatal hardware error has occurred. happening every other day or so at random times - sometimes its overnight so when i wake up its on login screen etc. specs are 5950x 3090, 128gb ddr4 2666. when it first happened, i put all OC settings back to stock, and the issue is still present. did some reading and its anything from CPU, PSU, GPU etc. doesnt really make sense to just replace one of them and 'hope' it fixes it. so I think im going to just do a new build.
The pickle is do I try and deal with it for a few months and wait for the new zen 5 chips and stay on team red, or do I bite the bullet and go to microcenter today and move to team blue. i want a quiet PC - currently its in another room with an active DP cable / usb line through through the wall. if I can get it quiet enough, ill bring it back into my office.
WHEA ones are always something that the actual hardware has detected with error-detection or correction codes.
So there is actual hardware fault going on.
Would need to know more about the exact WHEA error to say what is faulting.
A fatal hardware error has occurred.
Reported by component: Processor Core
Error Source: Machine Check Exception
Error Type: Bus/Interconnect Error
Processor APIC ID: 0
A fatal hardware error has occurred.
Reported by component: Processor Core
Error Source: Machine Check Exception
Error Type: Cache Hierarchy Error
Processor APIC ID: 30
That PC should only be able to detect CPU internal errors, or PCIe bus errors.
First one is probably IF error, second is CPU cache error.
That APIC ID tells which CPU core.
Not 1:1 mapping to the Windows cores.
There is hole in the range that isn't used on AMD CPUs.
completely unrelated question? why are you only running your ram at 2666 not 3200?
Because 4x 2R stick, and 2666 is the official max for that on that CPU.
yep
Lowering max RAM clocks with more sticks and more ranks has always been a thing?
That 3200/3200/2933/2666 is pretty benign one.
its also a day 1 5950x pc so nov 2020 age
I thought amd by then on the 5950x had a more robust mem controller
if you had 2x64 would you be able to run them at 3200?
The CPU IMC spec would be that 3200 for 1x 1R or 2R per channel.
But 64GB DDR4 sticks don't exist AFAIK.
Or might exist now, but didn't for long.
its 4 32s atm
yea but they exist
whats the max size for ddr5 again for normal desktop use?
So with same chips that max at 32GB 2R stick on UDIMM, 4R UDIMM can do 64GB.
96GB sticks available, so 192GB with crap speeds.
4800?
3600MT/s official for AMD, compared to 4800MT/s for single DIMM per channel.
and loosy goosey timings?
3600MT/s @ JEDEC.
And the official for 1-dimm per channel is that 4800MT/s @ JEDEC.
Intel has that same speed as the max for 13th and 14th gen with 2 DIMMs per channel.
Intel just hides the details into specific document.
The speed on the ARK is for 1DPC on 2 slot MB.
4-slot MB drops the max.
So the official specs for Intel 13th and 14th gen CPUs on 4-slot MBs are same or lower as the AMD official specs.
But Intel just markets that 2-slot MB number.
But anyways, CPU detecting errors in CCD <-> IOD communications, and at least in the internal workings of one core.
And when you get uncorrected error, the computer will reboot by default.
Without BSOD or notification to Windows.
Can change in AGESA options.
i think im going to go for a new build and then use the existing one and convert it to a home server - that way i dont have to worry too much about it if it keeps having stability issues. so for a new build, should I move to AM5 or switch back to intel?
if you want it quiet AMD
💀
The core could probably be stabilized by giving positive curve optimizer.
Or even just with updating the MB BIOS to latest version.
IF might need lowering it to the stock, as the MB might be automatically overclocking it.
amd did release 9000 ryzen, its slated for release end of july
oh yea amd had an aneurism when it came to naming this year
But Zen5 is soon here.
Intel is also new CPU generation coming for desktop too.
so thats the rub - if i move to AM5, i should wait till the 9000 comes. then there is the wait of assuming i can actually get one on release.
or i go intel and go for the 14900
I dont think you should have issues shooting for a 9950x or 9900x
well the issue is more i run the risk of this machine continuing its issue when i need it for work lol
Like I said, try giving it +5 or +10 curve optimizer.
And check the current IF/FCLK frequency.
well if one warning was cpu cach and the other was a cpu core is it safe to bet a CPU replacement would do the job or are there too many factor at play there
And that one is marked as CPU Core too, so might be again core internal, not the IF.
out of curiosity can you still wipe a drive in command prompt if it has a OS on it?
Usually at least partly, until the OS possibly crashes.
no but i mean if i run off a difrent os drive and try and clear a other os drive will the os drive im not running off of actively clear properly or will it just not clear
Yes?
Because at that point it is just another partition that isn't in use.
Or whole drive.
Only possible problem point is if the ESP/EFI partition is only on that drive.
And the OS installation for the other OS didn't create one on the drive it is.
allright cool if it actually works its probably gonna save me like a good hour of manually deleting everything
And even then the problem is just if you also clear the EFI partition or remove the whole drive.
Not if you delete or clear the OS partition.
If the new OS isn't installed yet, having the old drive not connected or otherwise disabled at HW/BIOS level will prevent the new OS from using the old EFI partition.
sudo rm -rf /* my beloved
looks like Telegram is down worldwide
do agesa am5 have ecc options now ?
Had the ECC Enable and that has worked as long as I have had AM5.
But no other settings for ECC so far.
So no tuning the ECC, and no ECC error reporting for RAM so far.
So the errors get fixed, but aren't reported.
This is purely for RAM.
For the same CPU core inside ECC errors in cache etc. the reporting has worked on AM5.
But no IF and RAM ECC error reporting, just silent correction and reboot on uncorrected error.
I keep getting log4j warnings coming from a lenovo tablet. This happens every couple of days, and it's always a large >300MB upload
To AWS, so no idea to who.
That part gets blocked. I'll try to see what dns queries it's made on pihole later. I don't use the tablet for anything except a cheap unifi protect display for a couple of my cameras
Seems to be equipped with telemetry by default with constant prompts if that is disabled.
Try disabling the "Tablet Center"?
Cannot probably be uninstalled, only disabled.
It might be and I can try to disable that. I don't think it's actually malicious just annoying when it sets my phone off in the middle of the night
The question is: does that app actually do anything useful.
Seems to be pretty useless app with adware-features for most of the time.
If it doesn't, disabling it doesn't come with downsides.
And you can try to find that telemetry setting and set that to disabled.
Yeah. I hate how they do that with pretty much everything you buy now.
I've got pihole setup on that network, but it's just the default settings. I loaded the pihole on my trusted network up with a block list of malicious domains to see how that works out. I've had adblocking disabled on it because it broke "sponsored results" on Google.
hey guys, if I wanted to get into competitive gaming, like shooters, would these ping and jitter values be good?
I do not know what are acceptible and how low these can go
I: have been shot many times in the past by people I never even saw even though they where apparently in front of me, lol
That upload has significant buffer bloat.
But as games don't really use much bandwidth, that will not happen in that if there isn't some very fast uploads ongoing at same time.
🤔
I have been thinking about getting back into twitch streaming
so I would be uploading
But not at 800Mb/s.
The buffer bloat happens when the router cannot keep up with the upload demand.
speeds are crazy these days
yeah, i stream'd while fps'ing and it really doesnt hurt ... especially at todays bandwidths
these new speeds cost me half what my previous ISP charged me too, lol
the most negative streaming has, is chewing a few FPS out of the game depending on your rig 😉
its funny how that goes 😄 i went from DSL 30/3 costing me $60/mo ... to Fiber 600/600 costing me $60/mo
thats quite the upgrade
youre tellin me! i can actually UPLOAD stuff now LOL
I went from 900/100 <<< dumb to 1000/900
in between my ISP's I had to rely on mobile data for a while
that was a pain in the ass ... cos it was taking my PC ages to connect to my hotspot
some of my games recommend high settings in 1080p when my system can easily handle full resolution
im blessed with crappy eyes so i dont need anything over 1440p
mine is 1440 too ... but also ultra wide
2560x1440 is what i got
cool
ive not gotten into the ultra wide scene,
yeah, more games need proper support for it, and not just a footnote
indeed
'fisheye' cause its not done right, makes me ill while gaming 😄
games that give me black vertical borders 🤮
ha
honestly i would rather a fully 'square' screen, than a wider screen ... cause i feel so visually constricted what is up and down
yes, this is how i like to play games .......
/s
😄
was funny when widescreen tvs came about, i was like .. guh, they are chopping the head and foot off everything to show this 'wide' ...
and then some did pilar box ... so nothing got chopped, but it was now so tiny because the verticle height of the tv wasnt as tall as the old square-ish tv
"how is any of this better?!" lol
lol
more natural to life, right?
we can see much more to the sides than top to bottom
they should come out with 'orb tv' ... its a oval, which matches the eyesocket ...
i cant, i got a nose in my way
hehehe
seeing is worse for those of us with glasses anyways ... cause trying to look more right/left/up/down it just gets more distorted and then eventually nothing if you pass the boundry of the rim
oooh, my game can look better with glasses ... still fairly new to wearing them
HD+ ... here we go!
this is my perspective
looks like Rage 2
looks awful, I'd much rather play like this
the point of wide is not to take away on top and bottom, it's to add left and right
didnt mean to trigger you, i was joking around
it is m8 ... really in the mood for some pew pew
Finished upgrading my gear to get ready for 1.0 My latest video series was tanking my old i9-9900K system, should be good to go now to build the largest factory's I have done to date.:
Intel Core i7-14700K
Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Elite AX
64 GB G.Skill 6000MHz CL30 Ram
2TB WD SN850x M.2 Drive
Corsiar H100i 240 Cooler
Gigabyte RTX 4070 Super 12GB Graphics
Seasonic GX850 PSU
Corsair 3000D Chassis
purrrrrpl

Love the 3d printed D20
If I may ask, why 14700K over 7800X3D/7950X3D?
From what I know, Satisfactory loves the extra cache
that ain't printed
that's waaaayyy to clear without any lines or artifacts
Then my second assumption, it's a lamp with LEDs in the socket
Yeah, thought maybe resin print
resin would be doable, but still difficult at that size
could make one of those out of clay, the plast cast it, and then pour epoxy (bond-50) ... then drill some holes for LEDs... frost it up as a surface application ......
I've worked in IT for 26 years and I have had some challenges dealing with AMD Bios issues, driver issues, stability issues, that do eventually work themselves out, but I get limited time to game so I want reliability to be a key component of my build.
that's old
old school 3d printing 😉
Ah, so predisposition
The D 20 is resin, however I belive it is molded. I found it at a local thrift store the base is USB LED lit
And you would need to check if that CPU is stable at the MB defaults, if Gigabyte hasn't released real fix BIOS yet.
Because now it is Intel MBs that aren't stable at MB stock 🤣
yeah it kinda switched lol
The instability has only been with the i9-13900K and 14900K not hte i7 series
i lucked out with my MSI board 😄
And even lower levels might be, just in so small numbers it isn't making news.
Because the reason isn't the power, but MB makers undervolting the CPUs with AC loadline being too low.
Just that that kind of bad tune makes the undervolting worse the more amperage there is going on.
So the highest power and highest voltage CPUs are hit hardest.
that what they used to call 'vdroop' ?
I've had pertty reasonable results with the Gigabyte boards.
ASUS got the actually fixed BIOS versions out just before the change of month.
No idea if Gigabyte has fixed versions out yet.
Their first fix attempt was to bad they had to recall the BIOS versions.
there was a new bios for my board that is about a week old
Yes, that 2024-06-06 BIOS contains the fixes.
F12d.
Introduce the "Intel Default Settings" and enabled as default, user needs to disable it first to use GIGABYTE PerfDrive profiles
i actually dont want to touch my bios version if msi has a new one ... cause ... like .......... its fiiiiine
Plays into it.
Those AC and DC loadline values in mOhms are supposed to be what the actual resistance of the traces and socket is between the VRM output and the CPU.
In all the MBs, the DC one was correct, but the AC one was often 1/2 to 1/3 of the DC one.
Then there is the vdroop behavior on top.
The vdroop is intentional, that too low AC loadline was extra undervolting.
oof
I'm actually fairly please with the upgrade Gigabyte Control Centre... The RGB controlls are very intuitive and seem pretty solid. I have been able to control everthing off my motherboard and my razor products sync with aorus seemlessly
Because if the DC was wrong, the power measurements didn't work right.
With AC being too low the CPU got undervolted depending on power usage.
Which made performance better and CPU run cooler, but caused large percentage to be unstable in specific loads.
Also lot of other shenanigans to make the CPUs work somewhat with the fucked up settings, like disabling safety features etc.
Like one that detects undervoltage situations and throttles the CPU for that duration to keep it stable.
sounds like a nice clusterfuck
Both ASUS and Gigabyte were at least disabling that one.
Because the AC loadline shenanigans were causing it to trigger constantly and the performance was crap because of that.
🤔
I had a discussion with someone and they brought up that turbine engines for have good response. Yet it's used in the Abrams and responds well to throttle.
I proposed the idea of a turbine hybrid electric to combine the effeicnecy and flexibility of turbine engines and a hybrid car.
Nope?
Turbines don't work at all below about 60% max.
And are very slow to react below 80% or so.
Ahh
They just give lot of power for the size.
So it's constantly alot of power
Abrams just guzzles gas when even just idle compared to any other tank.
So using the turbine as a generator is better then mechanical drive
So hybrid electric would be better for a turbine engine
Tho how bad would it be
As it would be a relatively small turbine
And lets just say that turbines are maintenance nightmare longterm.
The turbine blades erode, both before and after the combustion chamber.
Yeee
They breakdown less but need to be maintained more
And I'm assuming there's no way to stop the blade erosion
There is a reason why no-one else uses one for military vehicle besides Abrams.
Which was made in time that you couldn't get diesel engine that fullfilled the power requirements.
Now you can get diesel that would fit into the same space and would generate the same power.
Or more power
Happens even from just air molecules hitting the blade leading edges.
And if there is anything harder, much faster.
And with the amount of air flowing through, any filter needs to be absolutely huge.
Not worth it over just simple generator type internal combustion engine for range extender.
Iirc the only reason they keep turbines in Abrams is sound
Turbines have their places, but consumer ground vehicles really isn't it.
Something something turbine produces higher pitched sound that dissipates faster
Making the Abrams a bit harder to be heard from a distance
VS conventional diesel
To what effect
I do not know
And just inertia.
Replacing all the engine packs would cost shit-ton for not that much benefit.
That too
When the system has been already built to deal with the turbine-specific issues.
And now there is APU diesel generator available for "just for electrics" part.
Not universally installed in the fleet.
I do suppose biodiesel might take off for like more industrial applications.
Iirc it's still more expensive and needs an engine tune to work with out issue
I kinda could see turbines powering like a bull doser or train but conventional diesel does that rn and well
And you don't really have to care about the extra size or weight in those.
Warships often have both.
Turbines for high speeds, conventional for APU and very slow speeds.
Aircraft "have" to use turbines for the weight reasons except very small planes and helicopters.
Say you put a turbine in a train
How long would it probably be able to run before needing servicing
Few thousand hours at least?
Aircraft turbine overhaul time is usually between 5000-30000 hours IIRC.
But much of that is spent high, so not lot of dust etc. causing erosion, just air itself.
And remember that car turbos are simple turbines, just without their own combustion chamber.
Using the main engine as that.
AFAIK you still need to expect turbo failures after 150k km or so.
Yeah
Mostly from the bearings AFAIK.
The erosion just lowers the efficiency to certain point.
And the single-stage centrifugal impellers are less affected by that, as the geometry isn't as important and there is more material.
And the hot (exhaust) side is much cooler.
From what I know, mainboard manufacturer RGB software is considered bloat.
To achieve that purpose, OpenRGB and SignalRGB are the recommended ways to go
Or the Windows 11 now included support?
Still don't know how or even if that one works
Ah, they aren't trying to support the manufacturer "standards", but made a new standard that needs to be supported by the manufacturers.
Which actually seems to be coming and some do already support it.
learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/design/component-guidelines/dynamic-lighting-devices
The base setting options with API for external apps to control.
And from the name, it is mostly intended for peripherial lights, not case and MB lights.
The "HID LampArray" name I mean.
Also, this meant RPM, not power.
So the fuel usage and power generation isn't directly related to the RPM.
But mainly means that the idle needs significantly more fuel.
And that even the idle is loud.
Because the airflow etc. are directly related to the RPM.
Just that at low power, high RPM you inject less fuel and get less temperature rise.
One advantege of turbine engines are that they can run wide variety of fuels with minimal modification
Needs to be lubricating enough (or add extra lubricating agent) and need to tune the fuel controller to know right ratio.
true, but a lot of that is mainly efficiency. so long as you keep it above ignition but below stoich, it'll run
Hey there, does anyone know the performance difference between 5600G and 5700X3D on satisfactory on relatively large factory?
planned to buy one and run it with RX6600XT
it that good?
I don't really play other games, too busy with school
Also on limited budget
Very big.
As the 5600G only has 16MB of cache and not even the "normal" 32MB, and Satisfactory just loves cache.
To level that 5800X3D gets 75-100% more performance than 5600X IIRC.
That sounds right to me
So even larger difference between the cache-starved APU chip.
shouldve asked AI, it would have been half right
Does anyone know how to setup sar? Or synchronous audio router?
Nope. Not even half right
The third paragraph is complete shit, as the "AI" doesn't know what Satisfactory is.
Exactly.
Just that the most common answer when asked about CPU for any game is "doesn't really matter".
Why is it like that tho? Doesn't it scrape the internet for information?
No.
Machine Model is fed lot of data (scraped from internet), and then it distilles it to most common word paths.
For "AI" like ChatGPT.
And after the distilling is done, the original full information isn't used anymore.
That's useless then... I need those information
They don't know anything, just what words most commonly follow what in somewhat context sensitive way.
Language models, not information or like.
And anything newer than the moment the training data was collected doesn't exist etc.
I see how it useful for some but not for me I guess?
Current AI is mostly hype still.
And dangerous if someone trusts the output as is.
Can't argue with that
Sure, some result are good but generally you should just avoid it entirely, for now at least
I feel half smart.. I got my samba share reachable on the "internet" but it's read only.
I figured it would be.. I kind of stumbled when trying to set permissions to the directory... and apparently I screwed up the users too, because it's read access to the whole drive from a single user. they're supposed to be seperate. well.. crap
What people thought the dangers of AI would be:
It becoming sentient and starting a war against humanity
What the dangers of AI actually are:
Half-assed unripe information that's blindly taken for granted
"Half-assed unripe information that's blindly taken for granted" ... "which results in wars and the downfall of humanity" 😄
either way ... same result lol
what are you doing
Copying an image but discord is being weird...
Ok, image posting is definitely broken on discord android
geezus ... the gif picker is stupid when trying in 'broken image'
wish it had filters like "no romantic bullshit, when do i ever post romantic bullshit"
and what the fuck does any of those have to do with "broken image" ...
THANK you google:
Guess that explains my problem
least its not as bad as pasting images in Slack
literally the way it makes previews of MOST pasted images:
heres another fine example
so hard to discuss things at work when we cant even copy/paste random things to each other about what we are discussing LOL
We use ms teams at work to chit chat with other coworkers like we are using whatsapp
Hope we are not being monitored 😅
OH NO
I hope you have no UK people
we had to pull all messages from teams mentioning an ex-employee by name or nicknames or anything relating to them to hand over to their lawyer
We don't talk about sensitive stuff through MS teams though. If we are going to comment for example about some employee's bad behaviour, we talk about it in private
yeah you better because exactly that stuff gets pulled
Good thing we have quiet rooms on each floor so we can have private conversations on phone without someone eavesdropping
if you pay slack more, you can see what all people are saying about you behind your back
when the prior boss owned the slack server we used, we had to hold our tongues in chat
Glassdoor recently somehow revealed identities of anonymous posters who talked good or bad about some company
Apparently, the real names are for "internal use" but you never know what Glassdoor might do with that information....
its like trying to find information on a person who gives you a 1-star review on trustpilot
you can 'request full information, or your review will be taken down' LOL
its a good way to swat trolls
My former employer marked every bad review on google as "conflict of interest" in order to get it removed lol
haha ... we flagged some as "not genuine experience"
What's funny is that according to Google terms, current or past employees are not allowed to post a review even if it's good. Wonder why he didn't report his coworker then....
hahahaha .... sposed to use a vpn and make fake accounts!
we get like five people a week asking if we want to buy their review bot services to pad our reviews like 'your comptetitors, such-n-such-list' ... its funny
- We dont buy reviews, 2) We dont share customer information to get reviews
when trust-pilot switched to a 'you have to dump your customer information in order to use our widgets' ... we basically gave up on that
if we cant use a basic widget which people can click to leave a review OF THEIR OWN ACCORD ... then we aint interested in you
Here, there is a well-known company which offers other companies a good credit score if they pay around €300
If you refuse their service, they will give your company bad credit score lol
And to make things even worse, it's one of the most popular websites here where people check for company credit rating....
sheesh
its ... yeah ... thats crazy. 'pay us not to smear your good name, kthxbai'
My local gas utility company might go bankrupt soon but they proudly wear a badge on their website they got by paying that company I mentioned
The badge says they have highest credit score even though everyone knows they have financial isssues lol
lol
its about how i regard thse stores that plaster the giant TrustPilot score on their header .... like .. to me it reads: "We have 100,000 positive reviews! (that we paid for and swindled, and shared all our customer information to them to get)"
if you leave it up to customers... all you end up with is all the negative reviews because people who are happy rarely go out of their way to say so... but someone who was wronged will definitely say so to others
so you have to wonder about someone who has so many glowing positive reviews lol
5 Stars, sus, 4.9, sus, 4-4.8 Eh, maybe, anything above 4 stars with less than 5k reviews, sus.
That's my hierarchy
heh, we fall in the 'above 4 stars with less than 5k reviews'
it takes forever for reviews to trickle in
unless you are a suck company who just piss people off left and right
I should prob clarify, I use this mostly for Amazon listings.
Even then I don't follow it religiously bc of listing swaps (Having an actual good product, then editing the product page to a bad/scam product)
ah, i get annoyed with the 'product swap' bs ...
oh has 14,000 reviews! i look and people are talking about something else entirely wtf
"Look at this cheap high capacity SSD- Wait why tf are half the reviews talking about clothes"
i do a hard pass on those products
^
yeah, exactly 😄 cause the moment theres 2 reviews about something else, then you cant trust ANY reviews in the pool or the score...
I'm convinced the best way to avoid scams is to learn about them, then let pattern seeking genes do the rest.
Scammers have a funny habit of being unoriginal and following a nearly copy paste script to get you
"if it works, why change"
"who falls for this shit?! .... apparently enough because the scams keep existing!"
How any scam lasts more than 12 months is beyond me, at least in communities not filled with the elderly or 100% stupid
isnt the trapped prince scam still going around?? LOL
I honestly can never tell if that one is a joke or a real scam anymore
Seems like half the time it's used as a metaphor for scams and the other half is real
exactly
2nd time my FIBER internet has gone out in 3 months
suck
2 times in 3 months is actually awesome compared to copper lol
Speaking of 5G, didn't know my city is covered with mid-band 5G network
I thought everyone offered "fake" 5G over low-band
Although "mid-band" can be considered fake band too and true 5G is high-band only imo
yea i was gonna say even 2 in 3 months isent teribble
its not great but if they are short downtimes then its kinda just whatever
Lmao synced 3933mhz ram beats unsycned 4333mhz ram in all faces. Bandwith and latency lmao
Buh I thought the more ram frequency would at least max our the flck bandwith
Not actually use less bandwith
3933mhz is at 58.7gb/s VS 4333 at 49.1gb/s
Rosetta 2 now supports avx2
@jagged snow i like how 4c ambient temp is the difference from stable and unstable for my cpu
