I was originally looking at a 5 5500
I would suggest used am3 MB+cpu combo. 3600 would be ok.
But what about future proofing for when I upgrade gpu?
You mean AM4 ?)
oh right, am4, forgot which generation we have.
If you want to future-proof, you are probably looking at am5 and the ridiculously priced mb
Will you upgrade the gpu within a year or two? If you can't say you will for sure, you'd probably be looking to upgrade platforms again anyways
So for now would the 5 5500 be sufficient?
With msi b550-a pro
I'd go with the 5600 non-x at least
Ok, that was my plan anyways, thank you both
case cooling question - remove bracket fins below gpu to let the air leave case through the back, yay or nay?
They currently in, max gpu was 85C.
In that case, I have to take the find out, cut them and put the stumps in, because that support bracket expects fins to be in place to screw on top of them. Fins are plastic, so no prob.
Btw, how about installing that support bracket upside down? Only one fin to cut in that position, and less trouble screwing all in around gpu.
Eww, coil whine.
I thought that era was over.
My 5700XT didn't have coil whine. Or maybe fans were so loud I could not hear it

Max, do you live in a city?
Do you have any idea the sheer volume of bird habitat that is destroyed or disrupted by a single city and it's associated infrastructure?
or cats
And how many have actually been killed?
vs. just flown away?
Those lawsuits are done by people who don't live anywhere near the launch site...
No?
As there is stoppage during that time IIRC.
Cape Canaveral / Kennedy Space Center is in same way situated in a place that is bird paradise most of the time with protected wetlands all around.
And almost no-one cares now with SpaceX, just some crackpots from around the country doing nuisance lawsuits etc.
They haven't been able to find anyone anywhere local (50km range?) to be a mouthpiece still AFAIK.
That's my understanding as well
Mostly just lawsuits after money from a company with a lot of public visibility and some controversy
It doesn't.
Just announcement for current weather rocket site with no actual substance behind it.
The straight up and down to near space kind that have been launched there since ages ago.
France could still lease the site from the new local government if they were open for it.
Main Russian launch site isn't in Russia, it is in Kazakhstan.
And after Soviet Union fell they have had to lease it.
And Kazakh-Russia relations aren't at an all time high at the moment.
Russia does have polar launch site in active use in Russia itself.
And they have that notional new launch site on Pacific coast, but that isn't really active, and they cannot launch to ISS for example from there, too north.
ISS is on orbit that matches Baikonur in latitude.
The launch site they're building near their border with China isn't going to end well, China will probably end up owning it.
Not really meant to be used, just throwing money to get more leverage in negotiations about Baikonur leases.
Trying to make it seem like they have options beside continuing the Baikonur leases.
all bark no bite
Russia's space budget is probably gutted for the time being, so I don't know how well Russia will be able to bargain.
does russia even have a space budget anymore, i havent heard them doing anything as of recent
Kazakhstan doesn't have much use for Baikonur either if Russia isn't leasing it.
It's hard to know what Kazakhs might be thinking about Russia.
Not much of a budget, which is causing major production and operational issues.
Lot of PR about new revolutionary project that never actually get started.
And some "new" rockets and rocket variants that have been 30 years in development and finally maybe getting to fly.
30 year newold rockets should be fun
I think most likely Russia's neighbors are going to turn to China and/or India.
i mean some countries do
yes thank you
anal throbber ??
F5 makes my firefox throb annular
I cant wait for nvidias market cap to pop
in hindsite im glad nvidia was not able to acquire arm
I hate it when that happens 🤣
That's what I read
I'm gonna love it when Nvidia market cap finally pops
Cheap gpus
stock holders are the true unsung heroes in ruining all good things damnit!
Dumb question: Does Rx 7900 GRE + 5800X3D need pci-ex 4.0 or is 3.0 fine?
LOL gog
4.0 is better but you'd notice the effect more on your drive than your gpu
its just funny, my stock advisory auto-picks various tech stocks in my portfolio, and i noticed they put a chunk into nvidia and i had to laugh a little ...
if only on gog, must be a suck game 😉
i r trolz u
That is true, but also I don't care about the drive reaching advertised 6GB/s
7900gre can make good use of pcie4, so I'd reccomend it if possible
Does it have any perf benefit over 3.0?
Yes
how much / got any benchmarks?
1-5% in averages and 1% lows
"Its more than Microsoft and Popeye Chicken combined!"
Yeah, if you ask 1-2K for a GPU
🎈 🪡 = 😢 📉 💵
Can't wait for it to happen 😄
Then I can finally read other news headlines than "---- company adds AI in ---- software" - So tired of it.
My sunglasses have AI. It calculates the angle of the sun + UV and adapts to it.
my cat has more AI than ten nvidia cards!
and uses less power.
whats wrong with gas-fired heating?
I was a kid once, imagine the world without me
Like they used to
What year range did they do that
Noooooooooo
Valve would be crazy to sell and the ftc would be crazy to allow it
you feel like joking but a lot of glasses marketing I've seen are close to this
claiming the sunglasses "adapts" go the sun light on the fly
valve in moral way
is currently more worth than Microsoft
they are probably more creative too
"oh but Microsoft develop this and that"
nope they buy these concept then market it to hell and kill everything else if they can
Microsoft is like the solidification of the American marketing scam
I mean all the great American techs are actually supported mostly by European research center and personality
and Japanese one too
and some Chinese one too
but you know America is so great
they only have current market control by means of money chains and monopoly
Japanese industry is slowly learning to do marketing shit
but it can't work so well
because they lack the American's long experience
and people are more aware
i.e Sony please stops this shit
and I hate it but last 60s years France been America's little bitch
French people were too naive
psychologically too fragile government wise if I can say it like that
undercover still trying to recover ww2
at least Germany had no mask to put on
be warned
there is a very big gap between French people and French people
lol....
That's a lot
88c cpu temp
I run close to that but with 5900x
I'm pulling 190w now
whole ccx more
talking about pump it makes me depressed
There would be no way in hell I'd do this on air cooling
it's still fascinating to me that a 5600X running at 75W will get you 80% of that performance
does have a clue on why my 2060 is struggling to play anything even on autoset graphics
oh and why discord uses 90 of my gpu when streaming and watching a stream
2060 is fairly slow compared to modern cards
everything says it should be able to play fortnite for instance on max graphics, but even when i autoset everything i stutter like crazy
Prolly not 80% considering how much more pref I make
should be using at most 20% according to task manager
idk how to switch to it lol
Download the proper version
WE HAVE POST BAYBEE
blue screen in 3.........

No windows installed yet
Will be dualbooting, windows comes first so linux can overwrite all the wrongness of it
so you're cheating is what you're saying
does the nvidia driver have thermal reporting? if you are riding against thermal limits it will sometimes rudely throttle you. in the amd world we undervolt the gpu so it burns less heat, idk if that's a thing on the 2060
Hostname: Citadel
very old video cards, the thermal pads can become toast
it stays at around 85c but its not thermal throtteling, i know this because i used to have enough fans in my case and it would hit 100c
its a lowprofile card so it runs a bit warm ofc
i have a 7800xt known for its good thermals and i still "have" to undervolt it, only for theoreticals on furmark, not as a practical matter
does it specifically report a hotspot number because that's what governs throttling
same question for your cpu. have you cleaned your computer, &c
the cpu is perfectly fine, it runs cool and isnt being pushed much
what happens with furmark, ferinstance.
does anyone know how much 3d printing files before they're sliced take up?
idk, it's gotta be something! is there a reason you think it's the 2060 the reason you can't play anything on auto? which game, what res?
fortnite, satisfactory, and beam ng drive, at 1080p
fortnite runs at around 70 fps but is stuttery, satisfactory just has a stroke half the time, but runs at like 50-60 fps sometimes drops down to 30
i can't be sure, but you should be able to get at worst 40's in busy factories with that. I can point out some lunatic levels so there's a basis for comparison
its running bad with just a building thats not that complex
I run my 2060 with fortnite comp settings and get 165 fps consistently. Beamng at normal at around 70-80 fps and spiderman miles morales epic/highest settings at 60-70
never tried satisfactory
can't comment on fn, don't play it, and i don't have a high refresh rate screen. 60 is enough for anybody ("ok boomer")
so its ether just my high pc or my 2060 sucks, got it
my screen is a old slow 60hz anyway so im not really worried about high fps
what is the pc in question
some Frankenstein previous prebuilt, but most of it has been replaced do to the psu exploding, but it has a ryzen 5 2600, 16 gb of ram, and a 2060 (it used to be a radeon rx580 but it got killed)
you basically have to put a 5800x3d in that
yeah makes sense, im not gonna touch it because im planning on upgrading to a i7 14700k and a 4080 super system
thats with just a empty world on satis
i don't know what temp #2 means exactly
its the hotspot
That's hot
Seems so to me too, are you capped 60 fps at this point or running infinite fps
fortnite is capped at 120, satis is infinite
vsync or are you a monster
that's pretty odd
Current speculative stock market broken, plz fix...
I can’t wait for it all to come crashing down (we’re screwed as a society)
my main tip on performance is turn shadows to low, this makes a big diff for low end rigs. but your heat seems really high
fr
I don't believe Gabe Newell has any reason to sell, no matter how high the price...
they always have thermal issues (sometimes)
its loud as hell too
As Valve is private, and Gabe should still own over 50% of it.
So the question just becomes, does Gabe Newell want a quick payday or not.
If it’s a non high performing card then why not
If Valve has 10B of revenue and the offer is 16B... I'd say microsoft needs their heads checked
its been pushed hard for years so i most likely need to replace the thermal paste
I doubt it. Bros living comfy and could probably raise his salary at any point
yeah, take good precautions. i killed an 6800xt with a bungled paste job. i still don't know what i did wrong
ive never done it before so hopefuly it goes fine, i have disasembled a gpu before though so i know how to do that safely
the pads when i took it off were crumbling dry
@tough owl Which was the point of this first line.
I’m aware
Sorry
Realistically if Microsoft wants to be as popular as steam is for a desktop marketplace you should make gamepass less buggy and less reliant on uwp or fix uwp and maybe stop closing down good game studios
And or do what epics doing and charging less of a platform fee
the only reason I have epic games is
- fortnite
- the banger free games
their software feels so clunky even though it isn't its like a visual ui kinda feeling
its all boxes
Well, the Epic Game Store runs as two full Unreal Engine instances 🤣
Just to draw 2D store UI etc.
really?
so what you're saying is theoretically the epic games store is more intensive than fortnite?
Just quick example, but if you check the files under the Epic Games install, it is Unreal Engine product.
I would have switched to legendary by now but idk if it has the free games available
and idk if mythic is a worthwhile extension?
doesn't sound like it does much and has memory leaks
I can never get UE4/5 to run stable on my pc
No matter what
It has some issue here or there
Where it cripples my system to a halt
Heroic couldn't save me from still buying Satis on Steam. It would neither stay logged into Epic, nor remember the password.
My 6700XT is trying so hard rn
Have you tried with any CPU OC/UV disabled?
Same for RAM
bro, same with 480 here
fan died
maybe I was too tired idk
but it was very frustrating
Legendary and rare on github
but legendary dont make you able to redeem free though ?
heroic does
isnt heroic an app wrapping around legendary basically ?
Ready for now.
And I didn't know about any of the Valheim base meta when I started.
Just went with history.
Need to slope the outside edges of the moat later.
Temporary spawn blocker in the middle of the base.
But stopping the Valheim spam now.
I'll send you a screenshot when I'm done with this net install if nobody else gets to it first
its the shader cache hiccups 🤣
brave is fine, but its chromium based
id use firefox, it that thing crashes on me daily
waterfox
its not THAT big of a deal at the end of the day to still use chromium based stuff
if FF doesnt work
Firefox never crashes on me unless I do something really dumb to it
But why
no idea if discord itself fucked it up or FF
idk i just want to have it in the browser, i dont want the application
The client sucks I know but web version sucks more
it does what i need it to, at least when im not on firefox
idk if they did something but now I'm downloading at 70 MB/s
Why is "suspended" state called so if it draws almost quarter (22W) of operating power (94W) ?
For what?
The whole computer in suspended state, almost off?
22W would say you have "bad" PSU which needs that high load to work, so it just wastes power to keep to at least that if needed.
to get to your wanted behavior can be a bit of fiddling with advanced settings, but you can easily access these
Firefox have been more stable for me so far (not more performant, not more feature full, but at least it's doing its job consistently even across updates)
Firefox advanced settings are commandline settings alike
it's basically a token list with literal settings, a bit like windows register
Chromium prefer hiding its shit behind convoluted "smart" crap
my most hated regression so far at Firefox :
now bookmarks can't be opened in new tab without focusing them, even when right-clicking
they should either add a token for that or make it respect the common new tab focus token
it's not that much slower right now
especially on last gen Hardware (more single thread performance)
Chrome performance relies heavily on threading things to death even if that mean being less efficient
it's all focused like if chrome was the only thing running on your computer
Would be expected power draw of such state?
In sleep mode desktop computers vary from about 2W to 30W.
As in modern ones with good PSU and with normal settings, without ErP on often use that 2-3W while sleeping, and then with misconfigurations or PSU that cannot work at low loads will have 10-30W.
When measured at the wall.
on some website there are C6 PSU support listing
which is nice
(C6 being the lower power state of the computer, basically means PSU expect it, detects it and is stable in it)
or is it P6 ?
anyway you got it
C6 is the lowest "active" idle state currently.
Where the system is completely on, but the CPU is almost completely shut down
Ps4 sleep mode keeps the fan running and draws like 30W lol
S3 is Suspend to RAM (Sleep), S4 is Suspend to Disk (HW level Hibernate).
S5 is Soft Off, the "computer shut off but getting standby 5V power".
But bad PSUs cannot do that C6, and use lot of power in the S3.
Baldur, you feeling fine?
?
I spoke here when I started the game few days ago.
You have just been missing the posts.
Wanted to share that fortress camp base I was making.
Modded?
First with nothing, then used the ingame functionality for 2.0x drops (3.0x would be there too).
And temporarely used two mods, one to be able to use tools while swimming (to dig those moats and the harbor properly), and "infinite stamina when no enemies near" mod as complement.
Going to remove those soon.
Seems balanced mods (not game breaking)
i hate this AI search crap.. and look, a nice little video that shows a dude doing one that's got like 18 awg conductors..
i messed one up and I'm trying to figure out how to fix it. the correct answer is in a reddit post further down.
You can deactivate the ai search feature in the settings
Should be off by default lmao
I don't get AI answers when searching googling.
whenever i want it to give an answer that i can poke fun at, it never pops up ... i think it knows im trying to troll it
Ah, you probably have to be logged in to get AI working or something?
i dunno, i mean im logged into my chrome profile, but im not actually logged into google website (since it always times out)
it seems very selective when it pops up an AI answer
probably due to availability and how busy it is.
i ask how to trim a tree limb, and nothing, but i ask can i sharpen a mower blade ... and it does
Can't seem to figure out how to disable ssid broadcast on my new router 🤔
Which doesn't help anything, and makes you spread your SSID around all the time from any mobile device,.
I only want to disable it for my 2.4ghz IOT network so people aren't trying to connect to it when they visit
20W without monitor
19W when powered off
that's strange
Powered off, as in that S5 mode I mentioned?
That computer is shut down from OS, but PSU has power and motherboard is getting standby power?
@soft bloom
Or put into "Sleep" in OS?
powered off as in "i told it to power off"
suspended as in "I told it to suspend"
Ubuntu os
button on PSU makes it down to 0W
Suspend in Linux is same as Sleep in Windows.
S3, Suspend to RAM.
With Power off being that S5.
Just PSU that cannot provide the standby power without significant internal extra load.
and i checked power settings in BIOS - they are all on, except for toggle to not power backup if power grid went down
No separate +5V standby generation, but from 12V midpoint that needs extra load to stay stable.
So it uses internal load resistor or like to generate that base load.
Or the case where OS doesn't send the actual final turn off signal correctly and the computer stays in active black screen when it should turn off.
But in that case the monitor shouldn't go to sleep.
But as S3 and S5 use the same amount of power, I would expect that to just be the PSUs minimum load it can work on.
And it is wasting enough extra internally to keep to that minimum level.
That was/is somewhat common thing in cheap PSUs.
After PSUs moved from regulating all rails separately, to first doing +12V and then doing DC-DC for the rest.
With now +5V standby being again completely separate in better PSUs (S3, S5 power usage).
And the +12V being able to be stable at very low loads too in better PSUs (C6 idle working without extra power wastage).
when i cant find a way to hide it, i just set mine up to be something highly offensive
It's currently set to "Hidden Network" but I will be changing it
i once had "DEA_MOBILE_UNIT_452" hehe
all the back alley drug handoffs seemed to stop 🤔
Fucked up big time
I downgraded to 100/100 with the move, big change
Nah you're good
The downgrade to 100/100 made my bill $20/month so I"m totally fine with it
My dad runs his small business and my stepmom works from home so I have gigabit business internet :D
well, gigabit down. Upload is highly questionable. Alledgedly we have access to 1000down/500up, but I can't ever get up over 200. Not that it matters at those speeds, lol
My previous residential was symmetrical gig
Was very useful sometimes
I don't really understand the aversion to offering symmetrical plans now that we're on fiber, there isn't a limitation that should make that beneficial to them
Pff, YT keeps enabling that lightning feature. It's so annoying 😒
Lightning?
Sorry, on my Macbook it's named in Dutch. This is SS from my PC. So it's Ambient mode.
At random, it keeps toggling it on. Whish there was a addon or something to turn it off.
Google has done that before in order to try to encourage people to get used to new features iirc
I went all in on recheargeable battery stuff after almost month of looking it up and research
never had my own gears
I was scared a bit for what I'll get in reality, there are lot of bad story online and on amazon reviews (though I dont use amazon, amazon probably have bad storage policies for this, and amazon users are less aware of the stuff they work wise than specialized store clients are)
but good news, I'm actually quiet happy with what I got
12 AAA, 2 chargers (one ""dumb"" (smart) and an analyzer)
I'm finishing charging 8 of them right now
Wait for the css to load
Site Feedback And Feature Requests
Did you block javascript? Or have add-ons running?
Try other browser to see if you still have the problem.
I have ublock sponsor block dark reader honey metamask and picture in picture
I've tried restarting ff and restarting pc
Try turning them off. To see if problem persists. If that solves it. Turn them on one by one to find culprit.
What browser you use?
firefox
it was literally working an hour ago
Works fine on my end (also Firefox). (https: //pcpartpicker.com/)
hey guys, wondering if anyone has experience using iphone wifi hotspot ... gonna need it for a few weeks and wondering if its gonna tank my battery over the long term?
I used it on holiday. It tanked my battery. But I have old iphone 6.
What I did, was plug in my iphone in my macbook to charge it, then use it as a hotspot 😄
Possible solution is to get a power bank 😉
I am not worried about the battery as and when I need it ... just worried if it will make my battery drain quicker for the next year
Oh like that, normally it shouldn't? 🤷♂️
thats a relief
btw, this mobile data is soooooooooooooo slow compared to what will be installed in a few weeks
You can always check your battery health on the iphone. To see how much % maximum battery you have left. Mine performs at 70% still.
Should look something like this:
Nevermind the (Beta) since it's a full fledged feature now. I just stole the image from the internet 😛
I got this in November and had 91%, now at 87%
fuck dude, you are QUICK! lol
I got lucky on a pre owned
my friend bought it me for Christmas
Oh nice. I heard that the iPhone 14 is also a very good device.
Might be my next one 😄
yeah
hoping not to upgrade too soon ... though charging via USB C would be a bonus!
But this old iphone 6 is going strong so far 🤣
he bought it me as it has lidar
and can use it to scan things and bring them into Unreal Engine
That's freaking cool 😄 I think I've seen kade use it before.
I told him my mind is friend and might never get around to that, lol
yeah, very cool
I can put a friend in my game!!!
And even if it's not perfect, you can still adjust the 3d model right?
yeah, they have nice cleanup features
#off-topic-tech message 👈 The Cup.
UE5 also does facial animation using iphone, you can make really good metahuman animations with just an iphone
reminds me of a friends first ever venture into blender ... it was a fuzzy looking moldy mug, lol
yeah, I was very excited about it at one point
I love how they are adding these features, making a entry into modeling/animations/game development easier.
I wish android had it
yeah
that was the number 1 reason for getting the phone ... I used to hate apple
It has?
but it has improved greatly over the years
LiveLink is iphone only
Oh, I though you meant Lidar 🙂
Samsung doesnt have lidar anymore either
yeah
Apple use it to improve the quality of their photos
one of their number 1 selling points ... lucky for devs, lol
I don't think they will ever ditch it ... for most though it's just too expensive I hear
The quality of my iphone 6 camera isn't great. But still good enough for memories.
maybe good enough for a pixel game 😂
Lidar isnt that big of a deal since photogrammtry exists and Reality Capture is free for UE5 users now
The eyebrows are having some sort of party.
Unshaded lol
the rest is doable I guess.
at the time of release it was prolly the best in the world, lol
I don't have that option
Me in September when I cancel my contract with the current ISP I use because they are the only one who is not deploying fiber in the area (compared to other 2 major ISP's)
Type in the url about:support
my isp does do "fiber" but if I go to california or washington state it drops to 100 Mbps
Even if they offered me lower prices compared to other ISP's, I would still refuse lol
Then go trouble shoot mode 🙂
More information if you want: support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/diagnose-firefox-issues-using-troubleshoot-mode
Because fiber is fiber and copper is copper
I just restarted firefox
Have you cleared the cache of PC part picker?
You could clear all cache. But then you will be logged out of everything (probably).
yeah I don't want to do that
ok yall so even after my format my pc keeps crashing 1 time a day for no reason, some games crash, graphics drivers completely crashes sometimes
is it most likely memory issue?
Sorry can't help you with that. And I think the ones who can aren't online atm. But I am sure they would need more information than that.
i have said some stuff before, they would know
in general my pc was prett ymuch unusable before
exes would refuse to open with the most unknown errors ever
I had to format, much better but i still get crashes
Most likely
Do you have xmp enabled?
How many sticks of what memory?
What cpu & mobo?
You actually have xmp enabled or did you just set the frequency to 3600?
xmp
Does that kit have lower xmp settings?
If not, keep everything else at the xmp setting and just lower the frequency to 3200
should i try memtest86
See what that does for ya
Couldn't hurt
to be 100% sure its the memory fault?
or is it so obvious that such issues could only be caused by the ram
This could be storage, memory, cpu, or mobo
i am getting 5 different types of crash errors on a brand new installation of windows
brand new more like 1 month old but yea
anything critical in event viewer?
thanks for your help earlier ... I feel more at peace now, lol
I love this phone, can't ruin it's battery ... I shall keep my eyes on the health over the next few days
Np! 🙂
Oh that's so good
Ugh. My pc isn’t displaying an image now even tho i removed one cable that isnt connected to anything
Bios reset button didnt do anything. Removing the Dedicated GPU did nothing. I checked cables
Why was the cable there if it wasn't connected to anything?
It was for my wireless vr headset that i put away
So it was just plugged into the rear io?
It was an m.2 to pcie adapter
Needed an extra pcie slot but didnt have an extra cuz itx
i love how now with the algo change on youtube stuff like this can be reccomended https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sJ_tJQIotuc
Gameplay with DMA cheat in Apex Legends using 2 PC, DMA Card, Firmware, Kmbox and Fuser.
It bypass EasyAntiCheat and cannot be detected.
You can buy this cheat on our website.
Google bombing is going to make a comback to make crappy AI results for laughs.
Anyone have a good explanation for this weird behavior?
What kind of service?
Run cloudflared speed test
I hate teslas. This is the second time I've towed the same one in a week
What ails the beast?
It behaves as expected
monitor is pitch black.
No packet loss?
Just used tethering for a few hours with the screen off. Only used 2% lol
Actually, maybe battery percentage isn’t accurately represented over 90% or so
Buffer Bloat somewhere.
~15-20ms being the real ping, and the rest being packets stuck in buffer because of overloaded link, with way too large buffer.
So that was without your internet connection being used much otherwise?
could be windows network stack
And in that case you should ping your routers internal IP first, then the default gateway your router reports for the WAN, and only after that Internet.
To check where the problem starts.
Internal LAN, between router and closest ISP hardware, or after.
Pc was the only device on the network
Wifi or wired?
WiFi
Then I would expect it to be too many APs on same or overlapping channel, or other interference source on the frequency the Wifi channel used uses.
Causing lot of collisions.
I suspected that as well, jumped channels a few times and it didn't get much better
Or could be overdone power saving settings (including AP side).
2.4 or 5?
Have you checked the overall channel usage in your location?
5ghz, no I haven't bothered to check
What channels did you test?
AP has only been up for about 12 hours and I'm still getting moved in
Because 36, 40, 44 and 48 for example are in reality one channel.
149, 153, 157 and 161 are again just one channel on 80MHz width.
But not on 40, like I said I tried both
So either wildly congested 5ghz band here or an issue with my pc's nic as far as I can tell
36-48 is usually the most congested 80MHz part of 5GHz WLAN.
And it's slightly slower besides
I'm using wifi 6 with ofdma, you think that has anthing to do with it?
Because many older 5GHz APs only use that.
well, i guess we might get to see some more astronauts die
@jagged snow But get something that can show this kind of chart for the channels:
Or even better:
reminds me of challenger, where everyone knew that there was a design flaw, their statistics said it was a tiny chance of failure
These are from Windows "inSSIDer", which is free, but needs registration.
"Nice" for them to find new design flaws...
The "if two adjucent helium manifolds leak, we cannot do deorbit" thing.
Lot of Android options for that kind of software, same with Linux. Less so on Windows.

Damn.. didn't use it...
This
@jagged snow so I'm looking at a new phone. S23, pixel 8, or Motorola thinkphone
Thinkphone here has 2nd best pref but is the cheapest of them all
I'd go with the pixel or the moto
Samsung often has nice hardware, but their software side is cancer and OS updates are either very delayed or arrive never, including security updates.
So IMHO Samsung phones are never worth it.
But most consumers don't care about that side when they buy a phone...
Samsung base model hardware is also pretty mediocre in the most recent models
I was looking at the moto
Cus it's $565cdn
VS p8 at $960CDN
How long have I been in #off-topic-media waiting for someone to talk about tech
Samsung as better soft support. But it's it's locked Down
i bought my latest samsung phone unlocked and it's meh at best, but definitely better than a cell phone company locked-down version of it
I'm a big fan of buying unlocked phones used
Locked down as in no custom rom support
What do you mean with "soft support"?
Software
Samsung has better update frequency VS Motorola
The thinkphone is on a different update schedule
So Motorola is absolutely horrible, if Samsung can be better on that...
Motorola normal is abysmal
Thinkphone
Is on a separate soft update schedule
And gets better update frequently
Your choices are really iphome, samsung sxx or pixel for a decent device. Isn't Motorola google now?
kinda sad about motorola. they helped build the Voyagers, still going after almost 50 years
My fiber modem is Nokia branded 🤣
Nokia is still one of the big makers of operator side mobile tech too.
Just not mobile handset maker anymore, because of leadership level idiocy.
kinda like learning that Subaru cars are kind of a side gig
boxer engines 🤢
great sounding idea, but that's about it
Boxer engines in general, or just specific family Subaru has/had that has/had problems?
Because AFAIK BMW motorcycle boxers are for example completely fine.
they tend to have cooling issues, and there's a lot of part duplication
normal boxer engines for subarus tend to blow up if you push the rev limiter for too long
afaik
their only real advantage vs V or inline is their vibration & noise dampening
And same amount of parts duplication over inline as V.
Just that specific family, boxers are prone to some fairly unique design challenges that subaru struggled to address in their more performant models
As inline only has one valve head, V and boxer have two.
Yes, because the piston placement, so oil circulation is way different.
Well really you have duplication of cylinder head and valve cover, also makes timing much more complex
But same is true for V.
sometimes they like to duplicate above V engine part numbers & add on "weird for a car" stuff like a split block
That was the point.
Inline has only one orientation of pistons, V and Boxer (-) have two.
Just that the angle is different between the banks.
Boxer introduces additional complexities for oil and cooling as you said, not to mention the design changes it causes in the bottom end
I'm well aware
V can still usually get away with a single cam if they want to, tho a lot these days use DOHC
Yeah, but meant the valvetrain duplication.
Single cam per head in that case.
Not much reason to avoid it
DOHC is two per head, so 4 for V.
Well, you can get away with a single cam on an ohv system using lifters but it's not too common
OHV is simpler, but limits RPM.
also there can be dumb shit like when someone designs the boxer engine to have the spark plug wires to be on top, guaranteeing that they'll melt over time
Just stating if there are people reading that don't know.
I always forget there are lurkers in discord
i still think the first engine i built was my favorite
Lines like that aren't always meant for the previous speaker, but just as general information about WHY the previous line contents happen.
Yeah, fair enough
i like toyota & hona engines because i never needed to touch them
its been sitting for like 5 years in the heat without turning over
though the truck its in has minimal rust so it should be fun yo restore
i've always wondered if companies like Carvana buys cars from my area specifically to sell up north & back east
cuz cars just don't rust here
probably
makes most the sense financially for them
esp since carvana you can buy a car across the country and theyll ship it to you
saw a gorgeous 1972 chevy cheyenne C10 today. definitely restored, looked like it just rolled off the line
i have a friend fixing an 85 dodge pickup
and another friend with an 85 f250 with the 8ft bed
nice
its a blast to ride around in
i really don't get the new pickup "thing"
and it does not like starting in the cold 🤣
a lot of starter fluid and almost flooding the engine later along with nearly frying the starter it works again
IPhone is off the table for me
yea, i'm allergic to apple products myself
if they had product compatibility & were about a third of their price, i might be interested
New cars are so terrible that it wouldn't surprise me if there starts to be a thriving market for refitted new cars. Harvest the VIN, then replace basically everything else.
i suspect there'll be an aftermarket for the "please give me knobs & levers instead of a broken screen"
You talking battery % or battery maximum capacity %?
There is also an option "Optimised Battery Charging" - I have it enabled.
optimized Battery Charging is designed to reduce the wear on your battery and improve its lifespan by reducing the time your iPhone spends fully charged. When the feature is enabled, your iPhone will delay charging past 80% in certain situations.
Battery percentage.
Pretty sure it’s not accurate after charging as it can stay on 200% for ages.
Make that 100, lol
Oh ok. Phew 😄 If it was 2% battery maximum capacity, that would have been an issue 😉
My iPhone battery can be weird like that. Like it has a delay on it. I can listen to music for 15-30 minutes and only lose a few %. Then I put it in my pocket for 5-10 minutes and suddenly I lost 15%. Again, my battery is old and only has 69% max capacity.
Also temperature is a big factor (cold/warm).

dam, these little berries now have better ram than my laptop
Even Pi 4 already had 8GB RAM version.
nice
I honestly think iOS fakes it. Or doesn’t measure it accurately.
Well, pretty much all phones are more or less just estimating between 20 and 90 percent
Yeah but I noticed a bigger difference.
To be fair, the iPhone battery is much better these days.
Doesn’t degrade after just a year either.
Can't wait to hear what kind of stories salespeople will try to sell me when I move to another ISP and get fiber soon
They think everyone is computer-illiterate and they can trick people
My recent experience was pretty good
Their sales rep had no idea what 100/100 actually meant though
This time they have zero argument why I should continue using their services lol
My argument nb. 1 : Competitor offers fiber, you don't have it
Argument nb. 2: Even if there is no fiber and I could use home 5G, competitor has it, you don't
It's funny how salespeople will still try to sell you something even if their service is inferior
Not to mention their site says: "Enjoy home 5G internet with 1 TB of data on 5G speed!"
But there are small letters that say: "Speed is limited to 200 Mbit/s to prevent base station overload"
That's literally false advertisement
"5G speed" doesn't mean anything?
Minimum for continous transmissions at the 5G spec minimal data rate might be 10Mbit/s?
When someone says 5G speeds, I expect speeds up to 1 gbit/s and not speed cap of 200 Mbit/s
You can even reach 200 Mbit/s on 4G homebox
*on better days that is
The problem is that that is 5g speed
Just not what you're expecting when you hear it
Because it is marketing term made to give impression, but not mean anything.
It's misleading but not false
5G is definitely overhyped. When they started covering cities with 5G, they advertised everywhere how it will offer speeds up to 1 gbit/s
up to
Like almost all previous mobile tech "progressions"?
It's a lot faster than 4g in the city
The problem is I'm rarely using my data in the city, but somewhere 50 miles out in the woods
Branding the minor LTE spec step as 5G was pure marketing thing.
And then I'm often stuck with 3g or sometimes even 2g
Instead of just being another 4G upgrade.
Well yeah, 5g mmw was really the one that deserved its own naming
It just isn't really practical for a lot of people
ISP's love to use that term lol
too bad most data plans make you pay more for mmwave
and its not included in the cheapest plan
Doesn't bother me, I don't think there's mmwave within 100 miles 😄
And the range of mmWave is tiny.
theres no mmwave in my town
ive seen mmwave and its crazy to see 2.5gbit over a wireless connection
Needs line of sight and even then has range measured in hundrets of meters max.
Yep
You do see it in some cities with much shorter and more dispersed towers, is a little crazy to see a cell tower on every corner
I hope all of those light poles have their own fibre connection. or are they just a big mesh?
I dont know, I would assume their own fiber connection but would not be surprised if they were a mesh for cost saving sake
This is a speedtest I did a while ago on a competitor 4G network, the speed is even higher than the speed cap of ISP home 5G I currently use but don't have 5G coverage lol 😅
my cell provider doesnt have 5g up on the nearest tower to me(I have line of sight to it)
Honestly wouldn't surprise me if it was fiber with how common overhead fiber is in the US
Some states are running municipal fiber networks now, pretty interesting
some houses in my state dont even have coax running to them :)
Plenty of houses still don't have power...
(in the city central)
I don't have fiber, but I do have 800 mbit, it on the coax, (yea I know it's mostly fiber to the streets and only the last 20 meters or so is coax)
my grandparents house which is closer to the city central than mine is doesnt have coax and is still running 2 dls connections together for internet
might be because the local isp didnt bother since they were a paying customer at the time or just didnt do the neighboorhod and only do it by request
The majority of homes in my area jumped coax and went straight to fiber from dsl
Oh, this is where it gets even funnier. My ISP considers coax as "fiber" because there is a fiber cable leading up to the street cabinet
DOCSIS can't be considered fiber imo
its not
That's another one of those marketing terms
There's a big distinction between fiber and fiber to the home
Very frustrating but it is what it is
Fiber-To-The-Curb (FTTC)
Different from Fiber-To-The-Home (FTTH)
They still advertise it as "fiber network" to customers lol
Fiber to the x (FTTX; also spelled "fibre") or fiber in the loop is a generic term for any broadband network architecture using optical fiber to provide all or part of the local loop used for last mile telecommunications. As fiber optic cables are able to carry much more data than copper cables, especially over long distances, copper telephone n...
where im currently living at for college the fiber line is just connected to the switch in the laundry room just chillin on the wall
By that logic, I could also advertise vdsl as "fiber" 😂
Yes, again marketing terms being intentionally misleading.
Yup, and has been done.
can we ban marketing that is "technically true"
I'm just about done with isp installers
My current place has had so many hacked together net installs at this point that it's a massive disaster
Two separate dsl installs, two cable installs, three satellite installs, and one fiber install at this point
For all of them the technicians just stapled, bolted, and drilled directly through the siding without any care
so you just have all that hardware just attached to your house?
Several thousand dollars in total damages
could you not sue them for property damage, unless the install contract says we aint liable for anything
I've been working with the landlord to properly remove all of them and we're making some progress
The big annoyance currently is that when the previos tenants had fiber installed(without consulting the landlord) the technician ran the fiber along the outside of the house and then through the living room wall about two feet off the ground, then mounted their termination box and fiber modem on the wall there
Apparently they wanted to charge extra to run the fiber all the way to the closet where the modem was supposed to go
does it really cost that much more to install it where it belongs
No, just lazy technician
And the previous cable and dish installs all terminated in that closet so I assume he just didn't want to work around it
Either way, I've removed one dish and about 200 feet of coax and associated junctions and splitters from the outside of the house so far and I'm not even halfway done
any plans with all that extra coax?
They screwed one of the dishes directly through the shingles and sheeting on the roof and caused problems over there so that's on the docket to fix, likely today
Nope
Gonna just scrap it or trash it, the sheath is weathered and starting to crack in places
Some of it's been there for several decades at this point
all that copper has to be worth something right
Probably would be
But maybe 15 bucks if I had to guess?
There isn't a ton of copper in coax compared to power wiring or even something like enet
worth more than nothing
Nope, opposite of anywhere I'll be headed today
in the future though?
Not really much else for me to do over that way so I doubt it
The dishes will get recycled because they're full metal but the coax will likely end up getting trashed
Especially since a lot of it is made up of 20 foot sections with junctions and extenders instead of one long run
Cost more to get the copper than it does to make new coax
- The state of being tacky.
- The property of being cohesive and sticky.
- Tastelessness by virtue of being cheap and vulgar.
Tasteless
I'm sure glue is going to improve the taste
I knew it, the government has been hiding the technology from us!
*jk
wait so none of you put glue on your pizza?
to be fair, it said non-toxic glue.
i love how all the discussions about AI maybe grabbing onto the bad info on the internet sometime in the future happened in a matter of weeks & not years 🤣
Testing. My 6700XT at 4k so fsr
Some games can run 60fps at a bit less
And some full
And some I have to really downscale
Unrelated note: My desktop iddles at 44W when displaying desktop 😁
If your pc uses 30w when sleeping, something must be wrong.
Hi, guys. Is here way to make a game run with Direct 12 ? For me its crashing when I try to load. With Direct 11 it works but graphic is worst and optimization too
Before everything was fine
i9-13900K
RTX 4080
Windows 11
-dx12 in steam launch options
it's just crashing with this
sometimes even computer is restarting
probably corrupt drivers
I would recommend using DDU to nuke the old drivers so you can install fresh new drivers
I will try, thanks
I updated drivers but probles it still here
sometimes I see this error
Do you have anything else running in the background. If not I would ctl, alt, delete and check your graphics card performance in the task manager
I checked. Nothing else.
I decided DX12 wasn't worth the trouble for Satis, until 1.0
Okay I would try removing the graphics card and re install it according to that error it’s saying your graphics card memory is being used up else where
@brazen shore can you make a #1038092680493801533 thread?
this is a problem known to afflict 13900 cpu's. https://www.tomshardware.com/pc-components/cpus/is-your-intel-core-i9-13900k-crashing-in-games-your-motherboard-bios-settings-may-be-to-blame-other-high-end-intel-cpus-also-affected
it's default power limits being set wrong. check your motherboard support page, or you can possibly monkey settings in the bios.
IIRC Snutt has acknowledged crash issues in DX12 anyway, he said a lot of people who did the 1.0 Beta had them go away.
so a good and nice person on reddit has to explain he need to overclock his CPu basicly?
I'd say its good
most people hae 25-100 Mbps
Got my new keyboard…
Only one problem. The seller wasn’t honest about it being a different layout. Was expecting uk and got American.
This problem and solution was reported by gamers nexus too
Just PSU things.
Like I said, PSU that needs certain level of load to have stable voltage regulation, and wastes power internally to keep to that.
I don't have one of those PSUs, but they are out there and the asker seemed to have one that needs 20W.
I just stated that those kinds of PSUs exist and have minimum load of 10-30W depending on the PSU.
Unstable CPU from the MB defaults.
Ah, already stated later in here.
Btw Baldur, might be some time ago, but you helped me with my ram, and bios versions on the ASRock 670x, they updated bios to 2.9, and the agesa to 1.1.7, now it runs fine at 6400, and I've learned alot from you then, I'm thankful 😄

is this a "look smart" stupid AI like sentences competition ?
Google "AI" giving "advice" when you do a search.
So pretty dangerous thing.
Google search results were already dangerous
they got tired of hiding now
Well, even more dangerous than before, by large margin.
yep
y'all sound like you didn't have your daily recommended dose of rocks yet
it's basically only that btw : dangerous
what's called AI is basically a mind shortcut generation engine
I wonder how it'll host a satisfactory dedi. I ended up getting that over several raspberry pi's
where is the amd64 high single thread performance cpu ?
If people follow the advise of the friendly helpful ai then they'll be alot more domestic one way tickets to San fan
The n100 is 4 12th gen ecores. It's kind of gimped since it only has 1 memory channel and can only support 16gb.
Perfectly fine for most network appliance type builds like meant with those 4 LANs, but not really speed demon.
And cannot really do 10Gb/s networking as that only PCIe is only 1x.
For that specific model.
Anything needing more than 16gb will probably need a faster cpu yeah. Network stuff.. it's awesome. I've installed proxmox on it and I'm running a whole bunch of stuff on it. Home assistant, pi hole, nginx.. I'll probably install opnsense on it in the near future
I couldn't find a pci block diagram. That cpu only has 9 lanes.
Ah, 2.5G Intel NICs, not just 1G.
Which I doubt it'll handle saturating all 4 ports.
Seems the thing doesn't have any actual CPU ports except single USB.
There is Alder Point PCH behind OPI link on the same substrate that has the actual PCIe etc.
They've done some trickery. I guess. It's still about the only low power board I was able to find with multiple lan ports and didn't get power from a dc jack on the io panel
I meant the N100 in general.
That specific board has too much IO, trying to find how many lanes there are actually in use for those M.2 slots etc.
It's a neat cpu. I don't know much about it other than it sips power and is really powerful for what it does
Yeah it does. And the manual is half Chinese with no block diagram
Ah, yeah, the M.2 slots are just 1x each, and all the SATA ports are from JMB585 PCIe to SATA controller with 2 lanes of PCIe.
Or something like that.
Because normally on Intel, pair of two SATA ports means one less PCIe lane.
Probably would've been smarter to have just 1 nvme at 4x and used the rest of the io for the Lan. No sata
Doesn't look as good on pictures and "paper specs" without details.
So for each slice, you can select one function.
So PCIe lane or USB 3 for the first four for example.
That blue Wifi is for specific generation CVNi, not PCIe.
Yeah, but point was that they have too much stuff.
So probably 1x for each 2.5G LAN, 1x for each M.2, 1x for the slot, and then 1x or 2x for separate SATA controller.
And something for 2x USB3 ports, probably direct, so one less PCIe lane.
Which would fit to 4x LAN, 2x 1x M.2, 1x PCIe, 1x SATA controller, 1x USB3 for total of 9.
Wouldn't look as good on paper, but two skus would've been better.. one for a nas with more lanes for sata and less ethernet.. and another sku for networking.. no sata, pci 1x, nvme at 4x and 4x for lan
Usb 2.0 on both.. but that doesn't look as good on paper and pictures
Still a good network appliance board, I think if I was building a nas I'd look else where
Something like the steam deck apu on a board like that might be cool
And yes, that OPI (On Package DMI Interconnect) is link between CPU chiplet and chipset chiplet on same substrate.
We need a website for the stupid shit AI answers with. Like a gallery.
To immortalize it.
Somehow my pc managed to fail at being able to use virtualization.
vagrant, android studio... both say there's something wrong. even though BIOS says its on.
what chatgpt suggest to check if its enabled - all of it fails
i wonder what could have happened...
Windows 10 and 11 run under HyperV virtualization by default if available.
And that prevents other hypervisors from working.
Unless they are able to use HyperV.
"Virtualization Based Security (VBS)"
What does this say?
lscpu | grep "Virtualization"
Timespy 1440p: 17 335 with AMD Radeon RX 7900 GRE(1x) and AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D
Is this reasonable result? The 3dmark site takes 5mins to load and can't compare with anything.
very small update for @twin dew it seems like they don't want to talk to me as the amount of business days it takes for them to respond goes up by one day everytime they respond XD.
this is what they said
Cloning the MAC should be just fine.
I have had customers that easily get speedtests of 900+Mbps on the eero directly.
"An FCC Broadband Label will display internet speed as “typical speeds” and will not guarantee the maximum plan speed. "
AMD-V
So the support is on and detected by the kernel.
Was there "Virtualization type:" line?
no, Virtualization: (spaces)
no "type"
That would have been second line in the example.
But no idea if that should actually show up or not.
In this case.
Ah, that shows if you are inside VM.
So yes, some software level problem.
The whole answer contains so many separate WTFs.
I've got no idea what your project is, but why are you trying to use ubuntu as a hypervisor?
KVM is build in hypervisor in Linux Kernel.
It is, it's even built into windows. Doesn't make it a good choice
And what would be the right choice to run some VM on your primary computer then?
That isn't for constant VM use?
Not everything needs full fat hypervisor above all OSes.
That's fair, and I'm not going to suggest they run and install esxi or proxmox because I've got no idea what they're trying to do. The latest versions of Ubuntu and eveb debian have left me frustrated.
Proxmox uses KVM.
You just don't get normal access to the base linux system under the Proxmox.
You've got a root shell with proxmox.
Ok, not Proxmox user.
But it is just another Linux distro as base.
Just meant for running VMs on KVM.
Or just containerized loads and not full VMed.
Not a normal user account no.. you've just got root on proxmox
Device pass through can be done with the web interface though, even pci pass through. The Gpus take some extra work in cli. I was able to run games with a dedicated gpu on a windows guest on it.
It seems like less headaches. That's all
But don't blame KVM that you couldn't get shit to work.
As KVM is the backend with multiple frontends.
And many of those frontends aren't really that user friendly.
Well, seems that lot of electronics are going to again get 25% more expensive in USA as the tariffs for Chinese imports are coming back.
ehhhhh
as host for another virtual ubuntu
surprise: not every change desirable for other ubuntu machines is the one i also want to perform on my
probably. but atm there are like 0 ideas of where to troubleshoot it
that's different fly.
i think it things about that devil creature that you can barely see, can't hear, and that will bite you so hard...
So you're trying to virtualize a virtual machine? If so that's nested, there should be an option to enable that
No?
As the lscpu thing would have in that case stated that.
maybe eating the bugs is a good thing afterall....
If i turn off my mointor with the desktop pulled up my pc logs me out and I can't log back in. If I switch to a terminal before turning the mointor off, it's fine. - modern Linux experience
I'd like to have it work, but with all the issues I've had with debian 12 I've given up
unless i was bored or being stupid
Texan flies
I have a similar issue with one of my systems. The monitor must be turned on before the PC or it won't be detected. 😣
I've always heard bugs are high in protein.. the ai agrees
so I have my macbook plugged into the official apple brick which is plugged into my ups which is plugged into mains power. I can hear the brick( I just plugged it into main power instead) having differing level of coil whine when I use my macbook and I am scrolling and the whine subsides when I am scrolling and comes back when its not scrolling
At all, ever? or it will after the system boots or if the mointor is turned off and back on again?
Not at all
Can you tell if it still boots?
I used to use a PC with a USB port right beside a headphone jack, and I could hear static while data was transferring
It boots and I can ssh in
Not a big enough problem to bother trying to fix it
Yeah, it sounds like either a bios or driver issue
the coil whine is coming from my official apple brick and its only noticable because my eat is maybe 18 inches from it
The fun part of that static on the headphone jack was at one point I fried the USB stick with static electricity. Then instead of static I'd hear a steady tone for a few seconds before it told me the drive wasn't working
Would have been interesting to put some raw audio on it
though I wonder if the coil whine from my 140wpd brick is normal or not
ah thanks reddit, looks like its not grounded at all
Ground doesn't have anything to with coil while
or the fact that my mains power and ups both have awful sine wave outputs
Isn't it a 2 prong plug?
yes
A metal one?
yes
I can't see it on the picture, sorry xd
Big circle is ground
Well you can still check to see if your outlet is wired properly. It doesn't have anything to do with whine but it's safer
and on the slot of this theres contacts used for grounding
Why not just use a commercially available 3 prong plug.. because apple
apple power bricks on non extended cables were never grounded ¯_(ツ)_/¯
Yeah, but the point was that they use specific standard 2-pin connector, which has 3-pin standard variant.
Which they could have used instead.
wouldnt allow the prongs to fold and apple likes their folding prongs on larger bricks
I might invest in like a 200w pd multi port brick that is grounded cuz its quite annoying
Is the laptop metal?
aluminium yea
So it's required to have a ground
while doing nothing buy just a video playing the coil whine from the brick is present. when scrolling on the trackpad up and down a page the coil whine noise level wave idk how to describe it fluctuates
yea me im ground
hilarious that the top choice of 'some metal laptops:' doesnt list the MACBOOKS which are solid metal
Because the whine depends on the power demand.
me pulling up with my iron macbook
And that changes with CPU load.
theres not that much cpu load when scrolling up and down a already fully loaded forum page
Either way it doesn't matter for coil whine. The ground is connected to the output of the power brick
gold macbook
And coil whine shouldn't care about ground.
But you can get other kinds of whine when thing designed to be grounded is used without ground.
wait I actually have one of these with me 🤣
is it just me or is there no way theyre getting 160w out of a brick this small
its only $16k ... leronza.com/product/new-24k-gold-macbook-pro-13-inch-2/
Coil whine is just thing that coils do if they aren't glued down internally (most aren't).
Depending on the current fluctiations in the power going through them.
If they hit suitable frequency and amplitude.
real GaN chargers are crazy. Dunno about Acxuodzen tho
likely just a rebadge of some charger oem in china
ive seen about 3 or 4 almost identical ones
You can still have 3-pin standard socket on the charger, and then 3-pin standard connector on that end of the cable, and then non-grounded plug at the wall end of the cable.
do you have an example
Not usually done?
As usually stuff is either designed to be non-grounded or grounded.
Not one or other depending on the cable.
But Apple could have done it instead of that nonstandard idiocy.
Apple sets the industry standards. Usually for the worse.
i mean qi2 is pretty cool standard they introduced
usbc pd co developing thats is also pretty cool
They've done good things, and bad things.
if only nintendo for the switch oled implemented proper usbc pd spec
