I just buy some standard mouse and keyboard when I need it

dire igloo
#

it's pretty common for monitors, not so much for keyboards tho. Had one on my Creative K08

winged valley
#

I have my corsair passthrough plugged into bios port for easy flash

dire igloo
#

majority of corsair keyboards suck tho

winged valley
#

I use the k100 bc I wanted speed silvers and rgb, works great

visual tree
#

I still use my cheap asus cerberus rgb keyboard I got as a compensation for a broken product at a pc store. Does the job I need

dire igloo
#

K65 Plus is the first actually good one I've seen from them

visual tree
#

But then again, I am not a demanding person when it comes to keyboard and mouse

dire igloo
#

others might've improved too after the drop acquisition

winged valley
dire igloo
#

fwiw, the gold standard for value gaming keyboards is Keychron V series
great quality, great featureset, great software support, easily customizable
basically a $150 prebuild custom keyboard for under $100

winged valley
#

ive used g502's for almost 7 years i love them

dire igloo
winged valley
#

Also the hero sensor is good

#

I like heavier mice anyways

dire igloo
#

PAW3395 beats it easily

winged valley
#

I run 2650dpi with all the extra weights installed on mine

#

Works like a charm

dire igloo
#

I run like 6k on my mouse, but reduced sensitivity in Windows

winged valley
#

g502 my beloved

dire igloo
#

lovely shape, loved the extra buttons for the index finger, infiniscroll is nice, rest of the mouse just sucks

winged valley
#

issue of skill

dire igloo
#

liking heavy mice at high dpi is definitely a skill issue

winged valley
#

Id beat you in a kraber 1v1

#

Also 2650 is low dpi lol

dire igloo
#

for heavy mice maybe

#

for lightweight, anything under 1k is normal

winged valley
#

hero sensor goes to like 30k i think

dire igloo
#

and? you want an accurate sensor, not a super fast one

Can't wait to see reaction of younger kids when I tell them I had to clean my mouse ball back in the days and they will think it's some kind of a dirty joke lol

winged valley
#

i remember that in 3rd grade

visual tree
#

They still teach about "vintage" computer mouses in school?

winged valley
#

No? aback then thats just what they were using

visual tree
#

I know, I was asking if kids today are being taught how old computer mouse looked like

winged valley
#

oh no

#

they arent

dire igloo
visual tree
#

Because I don't plan on using that kind of mouse again lol (not that I am required to anyway)

winged valley

#

I had windows 98 gateway computer but my parents threw it away

#

I remember back in the days when flat broadband was rare and everyone was afraid of getting a dialer on their computer which would result in huge bills

#

Correction: dialer was related to dial-up, don't remember the exact name of the malware that generated traffic so you would get huge bills if you had limited data plan

#

That was somewhere before 2005 if I remember correctly

#

Uuuh, does anyone know which format or how the blueprints are stored? Especially the sbp files? I made a mistake and accidentally created all my blueprints with basic walls which use steel beams. I want to replace them with the ones that use iron plates.
I would just like to open up an IDE and search and replace the id/string with the one that corresponds to the one I want. It just took me ages to create all these blueprints and I really don't want to do that again (2 days of work).

#

or more like how they are encoded so I can decode them

old seal
#

I'm actualkly not sure if the sbp format is the same format that ps1 games used to store data. Or if it's just the same name ending.

Ptm is pretty good

So far @languid gulch ive been trying to find what causes my Mc fps dips

twin dew
#

Finally started trying Valheim.
Now trying to make a central main base location.
So much leveling to do...

dire igloo
#

I love the physics based building system ngl

twin dew
#

I somewhat hate the combat.
Very janky and the character doesn't know how to attack enemies below on a slope etc.

#

As the character just attacks into the direction you point, at level.
And if the attack hitbox hits anything, they take damage.
But no attempt for the character to actually attack the enemy you "point" at.

#

And bows are annoying, as you have to elevate manually, but without good distance reference...

#

As you are viewing 2D, not 3D.
So you can only try to do that based on target size.

#

Anyways, there is going to be about two character high sheer ground "wall" around that base, before the actual walls...

dire igloo
#

Isn't that usually referred to as a moat?

nimble cargo
#

I somewhat hate valheims combat as well. (Also having a good chuckle at you calling it janky, that's exactly how I've been describing it)

twin dew
#

Won't be two-walled on the south side.

#

So some of it won't qualify as moat.

nimble cargo
#

Tried vrising, but it's tuned for group play, and I have no friends to play with. Combat and movement is weird in that game too.

tough owl
#

I tried my best to repaste my gpu

edgy hazel
#

Could... Couldn't you do that?

#

Like what's speaking against turning your GPU into a thermal paste Twinkie?

sand saddle
#

@twin dew Imo it’s necessary to mod Valheim to have fun unless you love endless grinding.
For your issue, get slope combat fix mod.
I’d be more than willing to link you everything else I used like a year ago so maybe there’s smth you like.

twin dew
#

Need to take a look at.
Saw there was lot of mods available, wanted to try without.

twin dew
#

Damn, I wanted to save some raspberry bushes that would have ended up being just outside the fort, but a tree I felled hit couple of other trees, and they in combination fell on the bushes...

sand saddle

Ofc I don’t know your level of dedication and free time

edgy hazel
sand saddle

I made everything 2x cheaper and it still felt like quite a grind.

#

I'm not expecting to "complete" the game, just use it as a time sink until I get bored.

#

And then return at later time,.

sand saddle
#

Wait until you get to the swamp and I imagine you get the same realization as me. The vanilla grind is too much.

twin dew
#

Probably.

#

Even just the amount of copper you can get from one complete node is just tiny...

#

While the "rock" is huge...

sand saddle
#

I had a mod to 2x every single drop and stack size

#

So simply put, everything became 2x cheaper

#

One mod so sailing wind is always at the back cuz I don’t want to look at the sea for half an hour waiting for the wind to turn around

twin dew

How close to the wind can you sail?

sand saddle

Wdym?

twin dew
#

This thing:

sand saddle
#

One mod for equipment slots(like satisfactory) and then to keep them at death.
Another mod for auto sorting(just puts the items into the nearest chest with those items already in it)
A mod to 2x
One mod to save effects with relogging.
No/less fog, increased render distance
Bigger dungeons
Campfire inside

sand saddle
#

Top right

twin dew
#

Yeah, I'm just nowhere near boats yet.

sand saddle
#

I got a mod so the wind is always from the back

twin dew
#

Which is why I asked.
But that is very generous for that type of sailboat.

#

As in real one of that type couldn't do anywhere near as close.

sand saddle
#

The map is big and the boats are slow and there’s no real gameplay content for me to be wasting my time drifting on the sea

#

There are some sea encounters…

#

But overall not a fan of sailing without wind

#

Also thank you for helping me with the robot extinguisher shit. The robot is complete and presented. Gonna pick it up tomorrow and I can keep it.

#

Not much use for the robot itself but Pi 4 and some other shit is certainly salvageable

#

Render distance mod is quite a necessity for sailing btw

#

And you got a modern GPU now, right? No point in wasting all that potential on stupidly low render distance.

twin dew
#

Need to head back to Black Forest soon to get more copper, bone fragments and surling cores...

sand saddle
#

Iirc I might’ve also modded very minor speed buffs

twin dew
#

Out of combat infinite stamina would be nice option.

#

Damn... There is max offset you can do from the original ground height...

sand saddle

Basically can do full stamina food for just running around

Maybe you have some other limit elsewhere so it wouldn't make sense for the CPU to run faster - tho then it'd jump all over the place when the other part is less or more demanded

sharp oasis

Odd phenomenon happening

The higher I set the pot the more it preforms.

twin dew

Doesn't throttle on spikes probably.
As the shown value is average over X time.

sharp oasis
#

I mean I had the wattage limit at 200w

#

And it was still refusing to draw over 142w

#

Okay

#

It seems to hit a limit and not draw more

twin dew
#

Frequency, voltage and thermal limits there too.

sharp oasis
#

As there was no gain between 200w ppt and 300w ppt

sharp oasis
twin dew
#

And amperage limits

sharp oasis
#

We aren't hitting anything

#

But the cpu refuses to boost over 4.78ghz all core for cinabench

twin dew
#

And what do you expect it to boost to?

sharp oasis
#

4.8 or so

#

We aren't thermally loaded and have plenty of juice to work with

#

Cpu max temp is 75c under load

#

I moved my radiator to the front to assist with this

#

Is 4.8ghz unrealistic for this cpu

twin dew
#

And AMD has this kind of things going in most of the CPUs.
And also separate limits for different amount of cores and for some AVX instructions etc., which all limit the max clocks:

#

Example of a frequency-voltage-temperature boost table for AMD core.

#

So might for example be that the test is using some AVX instructions that cause the CPU to downclock, but the shown frequency is average over X ms.

sharp oasis
#

So I'm getting clock reduced due to avx instructions

sage pier
#

@twin dew they finally responded with this
Ā
You have the EERO, and that is connected to the TP-Link or TP-Link to EERO? Which one is first from the connection we provide?
Ā
Whichever device comes first, should be in router mode, and the second one should be Bridged.

If the first device is bridged that maybe causing some issues.
If both devices are acting as routers, you have a double NAT, it would likely be best to have the EERO first, and then just an ethernet switch after it.
Ā
The first one is what we would need to have setup as the MAC address in our system, so if you change it, the system won't work.
It looks like you have the EERO first with MAC ending in A4:C0, you can check that in the EERO app.
Ā
Speeds from servers, the further away the server is from your location, the slower the speed is typically.

Also some servers have a throttle, so a few people won't use their entire bandwidth (game servers as an example)
When you are downloading the game itself.
Ā
As an example ofĀ speedtest.netĀ - I get 500-600 of my 600 down to a server about 100 miles from me.

If I go ~1,000 miles away to Los Angeles It goes down to about 230. That's expected, as the further

out you go, the more infrastructure you end up sharing with other users.

#

I never changed the mac address o_o which is probably why they're confused with my router situation

twin dew
#

Most of it isn't relevant.
Only those last few points, but that is the result of insufficient investment in the peering.
As that costs both in one-time-costs for new hardware etc.
And for more running costs, both for the peering point location rack rents, and as peering traffic costs, as users can actually use more of the bandwidth they bought.

sage pier
#

He says to have the eero connected with a network switch connected to the eero but when i had that i only got 600 mbps up down and any online game would get 100-1000 ping

#

I do think thats better than having the tp link router hooked up to the eero router

#

But i still get less than 100 Mbps down thats useable

#

If i do it like that

twin dew
#

Like previously said, if the speed depends on where you test, it is ISP network congestion, not your stuff.

#

Which the helpdesk is talking about at the last few paragraphs.

twin dew
#

Which the speed limit tells.
And it has way too large buffers for data it hasn't processed, causing that insane ping when it isn't able to handle all the traffic.

#

You won't get any help from the ISP.
As the congestion is by design and they are aware of it,.

I mean, if you had a single LNB, could you connect two satellite receivers?

#

Or you can connect both receivers to a single LNB but watch satellite tv on only one device at the same time?

wanton orchid
#

if satellite is only receive
and filtering only is inside receiver
maybe it could have multiple
but you need very good receiver otherwise it will interfer

visual tree
#

My problem is that the conduit doesn't have enough space to run two separate cables for each individual receiver

#

When the house was built in 1988, the contractors made a lot of mistakes when installing conduits

#

I still hate the worker who decided to run the phone cable from the attic to the bedroom and cover it with concrete....

#

Instead of installing a conduit inside a wall and then running the cable through the conduit like every normal person would do

#

And the person who installed a phone conduit on the house outside wall in a snake form instead of a straight line must have been drunk....

jagged snow
#

Conduit wasn't common in new construction in the US until the last few years

visual tree
#

You have drywall though which makes pulling cables much easier. In a concrete/brick house you need to install conduits first or you are screwed

jagged snow
#

Well, yes and no
It's much easier in a lot of respects and just as difficult in others

visual tree
#

Considering my house was built in late 80's when yugoslavia was starting to fall apart, I am not surprised contractors made a lot of mistakes lol

#

At least It wasn't built in 70's when contractors used aluminium instead of copper for electricity

#

There are still some contractors who put wires directly into wall and cover them with concrete....

charred pewter
#

blrip blam hrm doog harf harf

#

a nice thing about an open airy old home ... nothing in the way of much of anything šŸ˜„ can route wires willynilly

#

not even any inner wall insulation to deal with hahaha

#

or in my house, OUTER WALL insulation 🤣

#

thats right! i have no insulation in any wall of my house ... just some up in the attic, and its old crappy stuff, with a layer of other old crappy stuff on top

#

i dunno, been here 14 years now, and its really 'not that bad' ... i prolly could shave $50/mo in winter months ... but the cost of having someone rip all the walls open and insulate with blow-in, and reseal all the holes and repaint ... i would never get that money back for 20 years

#

heh ? naw

#

and my new a/c unit upstairs is so effecient vs the prior one... it keeps all heat at bay, and for some reason is cooling downstairs enough where that unit doesnt even come on anymore

#

so in a sense, im already saving money on cooling during hot months, just because i changed the unit

#

so while "it would be nice" to have insulation in the outer walls ....... there really is no pressing desire to go through the hassle/costs

#

especially given USA contractors these days ask for $300/hr for their work, and then upcharge all materials on top

#

a plumber wanted $600 to run 2 feet of pipe to a new spiggot on the outside wall. parts (if i didnt buy them myself) would have been 5x what i get them at the home depot ... i laughed hard

#

haha ... plus $9 for each glove he wore

languid gulch
#

our old A/C guys wanted to run a new drain pipe up thru the attic using a pump. we ended up opening up 2 walls to reroute it from the backyard to the front yard, no pump needed

charred pewter
#

a box of 100 gloves is $9 .. yet the hospitals still think they can charge that PER glove used in any treatment šŸ˜„

charred pewter
#

ive got a small 'level activated' pump on a bucket in my basement unit since there is no 'down' for it to go LOL ... so it pumps it up to the basement ceiling then drains outside

#

some $20 pump ... installed myself, but i imagine a contractor woulda charged $500 for the job, and $100 for the unit

#

and $10 per foot of the plastic pipe

#

šŸ˜„ ... i really should just go into contractor work ... fuck make 10x what i make doing computer work

languid gulch
charred pewter
#

a/c units are usually two parts around here... the outdoor compressor, and then the indoor evaporator

#

the outdoor thing makes the most noise .... gets really hot ... cause its taking all the heat out of the building

#

the thing inside will accumulate a lot of water from humidity in the air, and then its gotta drain OUT of the house somehow šŸ˜„

#

newer homes tend to have a drain built right below them, so no pipes/pumps needed ... older retrofits, sometimes needs creative things

languid gulch
#

oh also this house is a concrete slab, so in their minds it was either the pump or jackhammering a new line into the foundation

charred pewter
#

right way to do it:

I'm starting to wonder if heat pump is overhyped and EU is forcing us to adopt something that might not be financially viable

charred pewter
#

heatpumps suck

jagged snow
#

What's your concern about financial viability?

charred pewter
#

they really dont work well in the midwest ... where winters can get too cold for them to heat the house well without running 24/7 ... and then the heat in the summer gets too heavy for them to cool enough indoors

jagged snow
#

Remember that most of the us has significantly cheaper power than in europe

charred pewter
#

yeah, electric power here is def cheaper

visual tree
#

They are so expensive compared to gas boilers I am not sure they are worth for existing homes. For new homes perhaps they are

jagged snow
#

Same goes for summer temps, we'll hit over 105f with some regularity and I don't know of many issues

charred pewter
#

give me good ole freon 22 ... i wann destroy the planet to live comfy šŸ˜„

#

jagged snow
#

Yessir

charred pewter
#

i have a boiler for heat, it warms water that goes to big radiators in every room. its gas, and gas costs here are crazy

#

but its the most comfortable heating ive ever had in my life ... 😦 and peanut LOVES the radiators in winter

visual tree
#

You can get huge fines here if you somehow leak freon

charred pewter
#

yeah

#

none of my ac units have that r22 anymore, even my 40 year old car has been converted to r134

#

r134 seems to leak more though ...

#

so every 3 years i gotta fill 'er up

#

unsure how thats more environmentally friendly ... but i guess r22 is just really nasty on the ozone

#

wonder if there is a heat pump conversion kit for my old VW šŸ˜„

visual tree
#

I am thinking of ditching a gas boiler with water storage and buying a heat pump water heater (not a traditional heap pump)

#

It would be used for heating sanitary water and gas boiler would only heat radiators

charred pewter
#

neighbor put one of those in ... he complains its a constant noise in the basement now, and his basement no longer is a nice cool temp in summer

#

šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø i want an on-demand ... get rid of my giant tank and pilot light gas burner

#

the damned pilot light is on 24/7 and i cant use stains or high octane paints in the basement on projects 😦

#

cant even clean things with mineral spirits for fear of igniting the basement šŸ˜„

#

there we go: On demand heat pump water heater. Wait 20 minutes to get a luke warm shower for 5

#

but its efficient!

#

a) low energy costs, b) prevents you from wasting water in long showers

visual tree
charred pewter
#

LOL right???

visual tree
#

Most of the natural gas is consumed on heating the house, I thought it was opposite

charred pewter
#

my water heater heats up like once a day, then the hot water is there to use in the morning ... barely runs, but the radiators??? wow ... burrn burrrrn burrrrn burrrrn

#

tell em to turn it up šŸ˜„

visual tree
#

Temperatures below -10 degrees celsius are becoming rare here

charred pewter
#

i ran my heat up to 71° this last winter, and my overall gas bill wasnt any worse than prior where i suffered through at 68°

#

its all in how the unit comes on/off and only for what is needed (it doesnt overboil the water)

#

old units would just overboil ... wasting gas

#

newer ones even monitor the outdoor temp, to spot trends and ramp up to cover just what is needed to get the right temp stable

#

its amazing just how many more sensors and tech in newer units work for effeciency

#

they wont let you insulate the pipe to cut down on emmission?

#

im unfamiliar with district heating pipes ... a friend in new zealand was talking about how a recent volcano destroyed their heating system in the city ... and i was confused, because its like wow, if a volcano destroy my heating system... surly it would have consumed my entire house to get at it.

#

then i learned its a wide pipe system like how they pipe water

#

doh

#

heh!

#

i just wear a hoodie and warm socks šŸ˜„

#

easy to bundle up to get warm, right?? hard to get more naked if you are still too hot

Yes?
If the coaxial cable used can do the frequency range needed.
You can just then combine the two frequency ranges (terrestrial, satellite) into one cable, and just connect all devices to that.

glass panther

you can enjoy your stuff fine, just making light of the earlier conversation about me being unable to test stuff on apple hardware šŸ˜›

glass panther
maiden coyote
#

maiden coyote
twin dew
# visual tree Is this technically possible?

Only major difference between satellite TV and terrestrial TV is that frequency used.
On basic level both work the same and can do same kind of things after the antenna.
Like that multiple receivers, which can look at different channels, if the dish is aimed so that all the wanted channels are received by it at same time.

maiden coyote
#

for coax mixing tv and satellite.. I'm not sure that would work. I also think the LNB's for satellite's are powered?

cinder light
#

Everything is potato

#

Potatoes rule the world šŸŒ

maiden coyote
#

I think they're both using 75 ohm coax tho.

twin dew
#

And satellite grade coax can handle terrestrial fine.

#

Just that all terrestrial grade coax cannot do satellite frequencies.

cinder light
#

What r they adding šŸ’€

twin dew
#

So the house wiring needs to be done using satellite TV grade parts.
And then just inject the terrestrial antenna signal into that too, with filter that only passes the actual terrestrial TV frequencies, which that diplixer is doing.

maiden coyote
#

is the satellite coax already run?

twin dew
#

That was the problem, that want to modify but there isn't space for multiple coax cables.

#

Example of combined plug for FM-radio, terrestrial TV and satellite TV, with just one cable coming in and another out.

maiden coyote
#

I figured. might be worth having some some dc blocking filters (capacitors) going to the tv, and to the antenna to avoid any issues

twin dew
#

No, designed for that.

maiden coyote
#

that thing would be yeah.

twin dew
#

Like I said, used on terrestrial TV side too.
Many digiboxes can output 5V DC for amplifiers for example.

maiden coyote
#

that's a nice solution. seems like the way to go.

#

well my concern was if the antenna had an amplifier that used 5V fed through the coax, and the satellite lnb had a 24V power supply or something like that.

twin dew
#

Thing that can take 2x 4-receiver dished and FM+Terrestrial-TV antenna and combine them and output to 8 lines for wall plugs.

maiden coyote
#

can you mix moca with all of that too?

twin dew
#

Depends what frequencies the MOCA uses.

maiden coyote
#

I think they're 850 - 1500 Mhz

twin dew
#

As long as it doesn't clobber one of the received ones.

#

Then probably, as that should be above the terrestrial, but below the satellite frequencies.

maiden coyote
#

if they didn't run coax all on the outside of my house under the eves I probably would've left it and used moca adapters.

twin dew
#

But I don't know the specific limits.
If I needed to do something like that I would go to the local TV antenna supply/install shop and ask.

#

Or find one with good online catalog and look through it as base step.

steel peak
#

anyone remember an old game where theres like a ball bouncing off walls, you can control x and y to draw a line to make where the ball can bounce smaller, if the ball bounces off the wall youre creating, you lose

Don't remember names of any of them.

#

IIRC first one I played was still DOS.

visual tree
#

Thanks for help, will make sure to buy coax for sat tv šŸ‘

twin dew
#

And just checked, MOCA uses the same frequency range as the downconverted satellite TV signals use (950-2000MHz).

#

Where as terrestrial TV usually stops at 850MHz.

It only gets automatically enabled if there is both TPM, and you are using MS account.
And then the recovery key is stored in that MS account.

When you install Win11, if you have TPM and login into MS account during the install, it automatically encrypts your C: with BitLocker.

twin dew

Well, Home only has that automatic "Device Encryption", not BitLocker. But the difference is just the UI and that MS account autobackup for recovery key.

#

Yes, if you lose the MS account used while installing the computer.

With normal BitLocker, the user has to stash the recovery key somewhere.
With Device Encryption, it is accessible in the MS account stuff via browser.

night girder

Also, did the adds feature in the menu go through this update?

Yeah, EA announced they are going to put ads in 70 bucks games too.

night girder
#

"the ads are part of the KB5036980 update that rolled out to Windows 11 on Tuesday."

twin dew
#

Ok.

#

Didn't know about the ads specifically, sorry.

I have had the setting that controles them disabled for a long time tho.

night girder
#

Yeah, Windows and other companies think it's a great idea to let us pay. And then force ads on us too. Fucking greed.

#

This is an example of mass effect šŸ˜‚ (obvious fake, but still funneh)

#

This is what the CEO Andrew Wilson said:

#
I think it’s still early on that front. And we have looked over the course of our history to be very thoughtful about advertising in the context of our play experiences. But again, as we think about the many, many billions of hours spent, both playing, creating, watching and connecting and where much of that engagement happens to be on the bounds of a traditional game experience, our expectation is that advertising has an opportunity to be a meaningful driver of growth for us.

We’ll be very thoughtful as we move into that, but we have teams internally in the company right now looking at how do we do very thoughtful implementations inside of our game experiences. But more importantly, as we start to build community and harness the power of community beyond the bounds of our games, how do we think about advertising as a growth driver in those types of experiences?
#

It's the same as product placement in movies and TV-shows I guess?

mental oriole
twin dew
#

The old "Show recommendations for tips, app promotions, and more." should disable the new ads too.

mental oriole
#

No.

#

But if they force shove it down my throat without ways to disable I'm perma changing to linux, be it on the expense on the ability to play certain games or not.

#

šŸ’€

#

Then it's time to uninstall life hehe

stray badger
#

Product placement (subtle) in games may be a viable way to do ads tho

night girder
mental oriole
#

Good.

night girder
#

And the price of games just went up from 60 to 70 bucks (the triple A games afaik).

#

If EA said, we are thinking about placing subtle adds AND lower the price of our games, different story. But to me it seems they just want to milk the cow when/where ever they can.

Meanwhile indie games... does everything better.

you know there’s an easy fix to this. Install your personal favorite Linux flavor šŸ™‚

and one company wants to put ads everywhere where the screen is paused

Might’ve been Microsoft on the Xbox

Many of the regulators can only be reactive.
Would need new laws made to be proactive, but that is on various representatives.

rustic panther
#

No, you don't have to sell in the entire EU

night girder
rustic panther
#

Not really, a company can choose where to support its services, because there's a regulatory burden to releasing in EU markets as well

#

For example, for medical devices you have to have both a correct translation and support in all the main languages of the countries you market in

#

But I bet Steam has to provide support in Czech on some level

tough owl

#

I can't imagine being able to market a service and telling people to get bent and learn English if they need help

night girder
#

At the time of the account linking news, they had 110 000 players. Now they have 60 000.

#

With a big BUT it's possible that people just got tired of the game.

#

I never played it because of the kernel anti cheat.

rustic panther
#

Is it an official language? If not and you can't e.g. refund a game in Czech, you might just be able to sue Valve :^)

Understandable šŸ˜„

Fallout 76 actually is good now apparently

rustic panther

Because in online-only games people leaving tends to lead to people leaving

#

I mean, it's a functioning game now that is fun to play, apparently (I don't play it, I've got enough trash I play)

ghost of tsushima let's you play without a account but then you don't have the online features.

#

Also I heard the sony overlay is causing a lot of frames/instability issues.

#

You have to go to some folder and remove the overlay to prevent it from working to get a FPS boost. I did not test it but read this in the reviews of the game.

#

me neither.

Link your Steam account with your account for PlayStationā„¢Network and gain access to the following early unlocks:
Archery Master’s Attire
Charm of Canine Recruitment

This is new to me šŸ‘€

Why is sony suddenly pushing so hard for PSN accounts? I don't get it. Is it the data they want?

Not my thing, but sure, why not

Or did executive bonuses get partly tied to PSN growth?

isn't playstation the only branch of Sony that axtually makes money?

Cameras or camera sensors?

rustic panther

Oh their earbuds are good too, hope that makes money so they make some more

That was question for you about which of those two.
So camera sensors?

I'm happy with mine

Hey guys and gals. I don't exacyly like Google putting gemini in my messages

It also has access to my approximate location lol

But testing it.

It's not 100%

But it's not completely stupid

But it does just parrot known information

Like most ais

i dunno how many times i have to tell google 'no' when it asks if i wanna turn on location for more accurate results (like how the fuck does my location gotta do with answering questions about some world global digital game?)

Got new GPU installed, testing power draw. It pulls 315W at the wall VS my older 5700XT 340W.
And hardwaremonitor and gpu-z say core voltage is 0.780 VS techpowerup review stating default is 1.05.
I am mighty confused. Is it iddling or what????

#

[The fans are definitely on, but car barely hear damn thing]

jagged snow
#

Clock is a little low, would expect that card to boost somewhere in the 2.2GHz neighborhood

#

But power draw is right in line with what I'd expect from that card

#

That makes me think that it's just a voltage misread from hwmonitor

obtuse geyser
#

gpu-z gives same result

#

perhaps I need to fiddle with OC settings in drivers and raise the power limit?

#

I have been worried it will draw 50-75W more than my previous card, but it seems to draw less.

#

also side note: Who the hell needs power supplies larger than 600W if this high end card can barely use 80% of it?

winter path
#

I have a 1660 super and curious on what am4 processor I should pair with it?

jagged snow
#

None

jagged snow
#

If you pair that will a cpu like a 14900ks that'll pull 350w+ you're sitting at 800w in just rated die power between cpu and gpu
