they do
oh my god I be needing that rn
It's an insane buff
just wait till 1.2 comes out then youll be able to get daisy chaining
all you need is to find some caterium
wym?
june 2nd i think
It's where instead of needing poles u can connect machines to other powerd machines
oh whattttt fire
yup
was a common mod too
will be nice for management because i hate my wire spaghetti
Hide wires through the machines and into the floor 😏
now my conveyor spaghetti
using outlets correct?
you can get wall connectors in the shop
Why are we hiding wires? 😭
i have them but im too lazy to stop everything and put the wires through the floor right now
Ngl I kinda enjoy the spaghetti it makes the factory feel cooler
wires are ugly and make me not want to look at my beautiful machinery
Bllueeeprint ... 😏
Sounds like you built your wires in an ugly way and should address that?
Remember he's got mk 1 power poles so it must suck
I use almost nothing but mk1 poles/sockets, even throughout lategame
What's next? Completely hidden belts on logistics floors because people can't take the time to organize belts?
😭 Oh wait... people already do that for that exact reason... 😭
I tend to essentially daisy-chain machines
embrace the spaghetti /s
Wait what why how
(either one pole/socket per machine, right next to the machine, or literally embedding a socket onto the machine via blueprints)
wiring for factory already closed in box, why you need to hide wiring if you not in box
Oh, I think I have a shot for this.. one sec while I go through my photo folder.
I mean basically what I said. Think "manifold" but with power. Generally fed from either the ceiling or the floor
I always hide my belts in a logistics floor. But they aren't spaghetti at all
I mean fair enough for making it look smart but I could never not ay my level of factorys anyway
The entire draw of the game is watching stuff sail by on belts 😭
But sometimes I'll have the power as part of structural elements around the machines
If ya say so 🤷♂️
But regardless, yeah: each pole/socket rarely needs more than 3 connections. Two to transfer the power "along" the line of machines, and one to connect to the machines themselves
Obviously I do run into cases where I need a mk2, but I haven't really used mk3 ever since my first playthrough
See I could never do that I'm not at the level of making a vertical factory so for me it's pointless
Verticality's got nothing to do with it; I'll do that on open-air single-floor factories too
Even in Phase 1. Just, y'know, one pole next to each machine; string 'em along in a line
Obviously whether or not something like that meets your own aesthetic requirements is another question, of course. :D
The start of 128 goal gens: #screenshots message
For my past few playthroughs I've most often been doing the blueprint-daisy-chain thing, though:
- Put machine inside blueprinter
- Use beams to "embed" a wall socket into the machine at a convenient spot
- Dismantle beams
- Hook the machine up to the socket
- Save blueprint
- profit!
yippe boutta buy me a new monitor and monitor arms
sure the monitor will take 10 days to get here but its 1440p 100hz 27 inch for 83 bucks
Though yeah, that pic that Sev posted in #design-and-architecture is about it. :)
(Anyway, not trying to tell anyone not to use mk2/mk3, of course, just saying that it's quite easy to live without. For me they're not especially important upgrades)
But this water extractors no longer snapping to a wall is pissing me off 🙁
don't they still snap to underwater foundations?
always kind of wondered, was there plans to allow placing plants where you wanted for asthetic reasons. or at least a mod that allowed you to do that
Maybe, but imo, that's a pain in the ass way to do it comparatively
You think FICSIT cares about plant life?
sure, as long as it's combustible
hey, gotta have those holo-palm trees in the lobbys of buildings somewhere

Q&A: Will we ever get more decorations themed around nature?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HHBFMoNs7xY&t=4071
Literally, when you are in the drop pod on your way down to 2ABB, what Ada hammers into you is that we are going to exploit, we are going to wreck, we are going to build.
That's at least how you should interpret it.
And then you come down and you wreck.
The first thing you do is pick apart the planet stick by stick, leaf by
leaf.
I beat the game. What do I do now 😭
take what you learned and try again
It's my 7th playthrough 😂
I've made it to almost beating the game 7 times, this time I fully committed and now idk what to do.
Ahh, so just trollin a bit then 😏
ah, so no plans for decorations. gotcha
There are mods to add decorations
I mean there's nothing that says FICSIT R&D can't produce schematics for plastic plants
How do you beat a sandbox that by definition has no end?
make a factory that can crash @grave burrow's machine
I don't know who that is.
well hope amazon renewed is good, says its refurbished excellet so ill se
the guy that makes save files that crash CSS machines
Any tips on finding quartz mining spots? When I track down the locations from scanner I can't get to it.
will be in cave
hmm but where is the entrance?
rocky desert?
entrance is by the water.
not saying which water cos that would spoil exploration 😛
if its rocky desert all are by water pretty much :p
point being that the sensor ping for the location is not by the water
actually the ones in grassy fields are by water too iirc
grassy fields is not rocky desert, so point is moot?
and grassy fields is not southern forest too
they never said where
you used rocky desert as example
I've got a weird issue, two of my constructors just stopped working for no apparent reason. I tried rewiring them, disconnecting them from power, and rebuilding them entirely. But they refuse to craft biomass using leaves as an input
I checked 4 times now to make sure it was only leaves on the conveyor belt, and that there was nothing infront just incase maybe that prevented production
I'm really lost here and cannot figure out what the issue is
did you use the correct biomass (leaves) recipe
yup
Modz.
Can't mod on xbox.

Q&A: What about Mk.2 Buildings?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xO_uubsn0Fw&t=7006
What about better versions of some buildings that require more resources to build but consume less energy?
Maybe unlocked by hard drives?
That is also a neat idea.
It kind of errs on the side of, at that point, honestly, why not just expand your plant anyway?
It's like you're solving the same issue from the opposite end.
Which, sure, I mean, if you just need to dump, if this could act as a dump to unlock stuff, maybe.
That's a neat idea, but yeah, not in the plans.
can mod on xbox.
can't mod satisfactory on xbox.
<@&370483737957236737> in case I forget to ask next dev stream; have fishlabs experimented with running the mod manager on console?
is there a way to load + unload in train stations or is it just unload/load
same platform no, diffrent platforms yes
1. manually drive train
2. switch station to unload
3. switch station to load
4. repeat step 1
no.
might require reversing the train between steps 2 and 3
if i add multiple stations could i
Yes. You could have every other vehicle in your train be a locomotive. Then you could place the stations back to back.
could just do separate platforms on same station
@earnest condor I've just had a terrible idea if you want something to poke holes in for giggles
set one to load, one to unload
oh wait, thats actually a much better idea
kinda forgot i can have more then one storage cart😓
||make it so you can stick a train station at both ends and whether it loads or unloads depends on which end it's driving into
||
pfff
ah man i need to start working on my space elevator soon
but im too lazyyyy to work on it
the factory must grow and the space elevator is not a priority
Finally phase two 🔥
Ended up getting sloop ability and slooping the whole factory so I make 25 versatile frames per minute
hmmm do i have it so caterium takes a 1km fun ride via conveyor belt to my soon-to-be megafactory?
I did it...fucking finally...
12 mod engines / min
4 ACUs (8 with slops)
22.5 versatile frames
now just need to wait and let the ACUs cook for phase 3 to be complete
(10x elevator requirements)
yo what materials do you guys use for walls and or floors
kinda getting sick of this ugly ahh yellow
concrete floors are amazing BUT you need to use the Customizer patterns so they don't look boring
those paint patterns in the shop right like the forklift and hatching n such?
how do you use those like i kinda see ideas but they are very vauge to me
i'm on 100x elevator, and ended up doing 120 vf/min, 30 me/min, 6 acu/min... I helped the acu delivery along with sloops & some intelligent caching
oh wow thanks!
i just posted a screenshot in #screenshots ... to me it's just about picking your accent colors right and then using the patterns to break up the big solid blocks
oh ok i see, realistically I need to demolish most of my base down to the foundation and rebuild
its been an idea in the back of my mind and i think i will probably do it after phase 2 is done or while its going
there's a lot that you can do much more easily with the phase 3 mk. II blueprints, I try to care very little about design and clipping and "great" blueprints until I get the mk. ii
even just having a 5x5 slab of 2m concrete foundations as a floor to work on that you can easily blueprint in and destroy makes a big difference
ill check but my slab i would have if i went down is pretty big
Would someone be willing to call with me so I can screen share I have a power problem that I'm really confused with
less than 300hrs to go 19,703 hrs on record
!wikisearch slooping
#screenshots wow, just finished my first mess of a coal power plant
somehow it is functioning
there is a random quartz node i'm unable to chip away, thus, preventing me from laying down water extractors.
#screenshots message
Foundation next to it
?
I’m tired of these hard drives messing with me
I’m about to spend hours strictly hard drive hunting
i have 102. now i'm waiting to clear some of tier 9 to get the rest.
i'm halfway done with phase 4
stage 4
whatever it is
yippe i just doubled my power production to is it 1.2GW? it didnt change from mw but thats my guess
anyway time to go have sum ribs 😋
If my flowrate is super low in my pipes, is that because I need a pump? or is it because there isn't enough water
can be both, or one or another
is there a way to tell? I have one water extractor going to 3 generators
I have the identical setup too, except that one is getting enough water and this one isnt
is the pipes going up high?
in the other one are they underclocked at all?
prolly not then if you dont know
is a little weird if they work perfectly on the other one though
but based off rates 1 isnt enough for 3 unless overclocked\
others on the steam community forums have complained about this very quartz node in the past. i was able to build around it. kinda.
#screenshots message
but it's not as neat and tidy as i would have liked.
I want to get one specific recipe so I can move on with my life, but the MAM really wants me to have biocoal
I dont understand why you dont just mine it to get rid of it??? It takes all of 2 seconds guys
how come im capped to 60fps on vulkan and dx12 but i get 300 fps on dx11? im on arch wayland niri running proton hotfix
its literally a glitch
Question:
how come im capped to 60fps on vulkan and dx12 but i get 300 fps on dx11?
Most probable answer:
im on arch wayland niri running proton hotfix
vulkan should run better on linux though? i dont see why itd enforce a 60fps cap
how does this highly complicated near cutting edge run on linux and do you need to use wine
Anyone playing Satisfactory with mods?
Hygiene is important during a gaming binge! Take care of yourself
how many mw does your guys factories require? Do we think 450mw is enough to get me out of phase 2
it's usually 1-2GW
great, so im not even close
there's no need to hit any particular MW target, it's just about how big a factory you want to build and how long you can wait for
relly depends on you, but i suggest 16 coal gens should hold for a bit
@neat marlin always check your power usage whe nbuilding thats how you know whe nyou need more
best target is yes
Not very quickly at least. I'd say maybe 3-4GW for me normally for phase 2
Of course there is no need to hit a MW target.
Because your targets should be in GW. 😏
My baseline Phase 2 power plant is 3.6 GW.
just donmt let thaty orange line get to close to the black line lol
I think it'd probably be higher next run now that I'm used to disassembling crash sites. That was a much bigger boost early game than I was expecting at first
19,704 hrs on record
Working on it
Don't ask when ill reach 20k hrs now its alot of up and down etc etc
gl with that, i only see myself doing that much in SE1,2
follow your dreams and you too can reach the stars!
I do plan on reaching 20k hrs before summer break from the game for heat or before idk
i did i look after our self (DID)
Can't wait to start a new game and set all the resource nodes to max purity.
🤔
man i dont know how to make my factory look good or even manage space well
You don't have to
you will not run out of space, I can guarantee you
I just leveled everything but my setups so now its just one big platform with machines
the factory must grow
The game has infinite space, don't worry
maybe i need to use vertical space
well, not infinite, but specially with verticality, it's just astronomically huge
But even without building towers. You will not run out of space
build up.
If the constraint is something other than the space, then the space is infinite.
trying to but dont want it to be ugly so im overthinking the hell out of it :P
Jeff Bezos can buy an infinite amount of starbucks coffees, because he would run out of time before he ran out of money to purchase them.
I've beaten the whole game with just four locations, two of them major, zero verticality.
99.9% of the map unused
you will be fine
Blueprints
ive seen photos where smelters are in a room then constructers in one above n so on
just add a floor, and keep building really
I wouldn't go vertical until phase 3 but you can if you want to
conveyor lifts
oh ok im literally at the end of phase 2, all i have left are the tubes and to automate the things for the elevator
I prefer to section off by part. For example, what I’m making?
Let’s say I’m smelting iron ore. Ok smelters, how does that look? Build out an area to maximize the miner you are working with. Then leave what’s above it open, with the intention that more floors will be added when upgrading the miner and belts and so forth.
What’s after that, building iron plates? Go another foundation or so away, figure out how I want to lay out constructors, with the idea that I will duplicate it vertically when I update.
should I do that then get mk4 logistics?
Will the save files delete itself when not played for a long time?
no, why would they?
I mean you do want that but you don’t have to do it immediately. Plan factories knowing that you need to upgrade
I still have save files from like 2021 lol
I mean I tried that with this one, but i guess it was also my first ever actual factory so thats probably why i scrapped it and want to go fresh
Look up templates online
You don’t have to reinvent the wheel
@raven grotto look up oldshavingfoam on Reddit he makes stackable ones that are concise, they are very good
Quick question regarding a sorter using smart splitters, for my passthrough lane of the smart splitter, if I use "Any" and have say Concrete going out of the left lane, it still splits concrete and only sends partial to the left lane instead of all concrete that touches it to the left lane, I've tried "Any undefined", but that causes random clogs and blocks the entire flow of items, should I be using overflow or what am I supposed to use for the passthrough lane?
If the defined output is blocked, any undefined will block
overflow is correct
since the undefined stuff has nowhere to go, it's also overflow
I'm using a dual smart splitter setup with overflow of the 2nd smart splitter going into a merger and then to a sink down a chain of 40+ smart splitter/storage setups, so once the stack of boxes for my storage is full, that lane in theory shouldn't become blocked since it's sending any overflow to a sink
I tried to post a screenshot but I guess this doesn't allow them lol
i have 7650 crude oil how much should i dedicate to plastic, rubber, fuel, and coke each
Just finished a heat sink to cooling system to Turbo Motor and Super Computer factory! Spent 12 hours on that fucker
Drink it all instead lol
I thought turbo motors were going to be the death of me
They build so slowly. I hate it.
I’m making around 27/m
I setup 16.68/m and produced each part for it from scratch within the same factory, what a nightmare lol
Yeah, this one was all from scratch except radios, aclaid sheets, and one other I can’t remember
I was producing none of what was required because like an idiot, I hand fed everything for the space elevator into manufacturers/assemblers to progress instead of building out production xD
I completed it all without even starting aluminum.. sent the spaceship away haha
Tickets are broken af
same lmaoo
My man
I finished the whole game never producing anything like the uhh
assembly director system and that whole tree of items
Yeah, fuck that
I hand fed the machines to make them from parts bought from the shop
I also hand fed for the space elevator, exception being pasta. It's all just relatively tiny amounts, so full production lines are overkill.
Same here
magnetic field generator, thermal compulsion rocket, all of that, no production of that shit lol
I ate the pasta
my nuclear pasta was made from hand feeding pressure conversion cubes xD
I just had a growing machinery at the space elevator, each phase gaining another stage
I tore down after each competion xD
well, I automated pasta cause I need it for the portals
Pasta is yummy, that’s why I made it
i wish there was a way to filter which resources showed on the map
It’s called alcoholism
I overproduced the pasta and build a 12 double container stockpile, I hand feed a few of the things for portals when I need to cross the map just enough to power it on then suicide with keep inventory turned on to go back home lol
That sounds like it's more of a pain than just hypertube-cannoning there
I sloop and overclocked to make a bunch of the singularity cells, so I have more than enough
I usually do just cannon when I want to travel but if I need to go somewhere quick for troubleshooting I'll use the various portals I've slapped down across the map
also, if anyone ever tries to convince you that you need nuclear, that's all lies, I beat the game never touching nuclear and never needing it xD
Just re-linking takes longer than flying over
I would use my hypertubes cannon that has 487 segments.. but it crashes my game when going thru the final one
xDDDD
I’m pretty sure it’s because I atomize.. then I turn into a nuclear explosion
no, you just jump outside of the map in one frame
and the engine is not programmed to deal with coordinates that large
It’s cause I atomize
I beat the game though late last night and now idk what to do, it's my 7th playthrough but first time beating it. now I'm sad and depressed lmao
Make a factory for every single thing you can think of. I think I might start on ficsonium next
Build a Nuclear Power Plant up to the Ficsonium stuff
I've had so many factories shut down because of goofy issues with trains, I'm afraid of doing nuclear because I hate trains
Don’t do trains then
SPAGHETTI WORKS FINE!
And drones exist
I've advanced at least far enough that I cannot allow spaghetti but crossing the map with belts is painful
I hate drones more than trains xD
⭐️ drones 🌟
I've had more issues with drones than I have trains!
Trains have so far never failed me
Fucking how?!
bruh I have no idea
I have about 50 drones flying around my map at all times
just do a proper two-rail setup, and you got a map wide network that largely sorts itself
so many train haters im surprised
trains were fine until I started doing 8 car trains and then my entire train network died because my intersections didn't have space in my blocks to accomodate them
I have a two-rail setup, but I use zero path signals, blocks only xD
8 wagons is just too heavy for some inclines
Dude, drones are way better, so what if it has less space than a train. Set it up, link up two ports, fuel ‘em, and boom
isnt the advice 4 wagons per train?
You are a chicken nugget
And I am a duck
inclines weren't my issue, I'm up high enough to avoid that issue in 99% of my rail network, the issue I had was the 8 car trains were getting stuck in short block chunks at intersections
4 wagons per train is safe at least
Should I get Copper Rotor or 6 inventory slots?
might get slow, but won't stop
Eat the harddrives instead
@sudden current inventory slots go a long way, I'd go that route
but I also play this game like an absolute menace so maybe don't listen to me
Idk what this means
pull them out of your monitor and eat them, CHOMP
Just eat the hard drive. Simple. Problem solved.
The inventory slots are very enticing. I just don't know how useful copper rotors are. Regular rotors seem fine.
JUST. EAT. THE. FUCKING. HARD. DRIVES.
:>
lemme look at the recipe on mine and see if I'm using it anywhere, standby
I have not learned the copper rotor, it's sitting on a rescannable drive as a lone option to select, take the inventory slots
Hey uhh, worm.. watch out, there’s a bird nearby
you will get copper rotor alt again alter, get the inv slots IMO
there's enough HD for all the alts
luckily its quite late
there's a tier list somewhere of alt recipes on reddit, I used that to decide what to learn, it was very right and all of the ones it said were useless were infact useless and never got learned, I assume copper rotor was in that list of useless alts
Reddit? Really..
i dont think it is actually
also just take whichever one feels useful/fun to you. there are more drives than recipes
or you can just sit on it until later
Hey, chicken nugget, do you wanna drink some rocket fuel with me?
alternatively, wanna drink some ionized fuel with me instead?
yo the ADA is starting to worry for me
i invited myself to also huff rocket fuel
No, no, you only get turbo fuel.
i think she likes me 🥹
... Yup, yo all cray cray. Going back to my nightmares.
who wants to rail a couple lines of copper powder?
I already did that.
hot
who wanna smoke some smokeless powder
mmmmm
I beat the game without having excess reinforced iron plates being made, I buy them all from the shop, send help
What do you think about my power grid that makes 500 gw every 10 minutes, for 2 minutes. Then a power grid to start that power grid, then a backup power grid to kickstart the secondary power grid, then biomass generators to power the backup backup generator, peak efficiency, right?
(In my joke save)
honestly, just get biomass gens everywhere and hand feed each one
it's more efficient
Nuh uh
lowk i just handmine coal
snorts
based
Nobody wants to eat singularity cells with me :(
Factory
so true
can i visit someones factory i wanna see if my gpu can handle big factories
who runs scim anyways
i have my world but i use mods in my world
what do we think about clipping
very individual, like most things here
some fine with clipping anything into anything, some like to avoid it entirely, some are fine when it's hidden away, some use it for decoration, etc
i am being a nerd figuring out how to do 1200 into refeinrys from fully overclocking 3 power shards and making = input and putput
Anyone playing Satisfactory with mods?
feel like there's a more specific question there
yes
yea like i personally dont care about clipping if i will never see it, but if its a long conveyor belt, best you know you wont see a single clip
I messaged you privately, friend.
i answered u in dms
🤓
🖇️
what problem
First of all did u swear at it
So I need a quick opinion. I'm popping all over the map setting up little automaitons that go directly to my pocket (if you know you know trying to avoid too much spoiler) For purposes of building things easier (as in ful factories and whatnot. I have a spot that can do stators, but it has enough stuff that it could do motors instead.
Should I bother with the stators? Like at all in this context. I can't think of any buildings that need them and other than having some in storage for hard drive retrieval I can't think of any reason to automate them on their own. (I made a similar decision to skip screws)
of course, thats the default move
I think? I have a big factory, but I intentionally optimize by spreading out my factories and surrounding w walls to reduce GPU load
can i visit
i have a big world
STUPIDLY BIG WORLD
You skipped screws?? Lmfao
Automate that like RIGHT now
ummmm peeps is this crazy
i wanna make sure my old gpu can handle late game factories
yeah, stators aren't really useful as an end product
19,707 hrs on record TOTAL in my world is 5,860hrs
I just keep running out of materials, and before that I struggled for 2 hours tryna figure out why one gen wasn't getting the same amount of water, then before that it was not enough coal, and then also a few gens weren't making full power
can i join a massive factory
just a huge mess
you only need them as an end product very briefly (milestones), so you don't need a line that ends at screws
are these good hrs peeps 😛
Yeah sure! But i dont get off my shift for another 2.5 hours, and then again, its not super late game, i dont have nuclear power yet but im literally building the infrastructure for them right now
your entire personality is those hours 😅
its fine i wanna stress out my gpu
What kind of gpu?
1660ti
i have umm 5080ti
aight dang haha
pretty funny you guys just mentioned stressing out your gpu's lol, Mine seems like its doing alr but I get lag spikes randomly now
what settings and i find that too sometimes
mind if i join a big factory
damn i started on tuesday and am at 40
i started on June 8th 2020
i need 293 or 292hrs to reach 20k hrs
yo versitile framwork actually really easy to make lowkey
fire, my most played game is at 70 hrs, but all in all i recently got my pc and already bought something new for it today
ong bruh.
Framework maxing frfr.
monitor arms and a new monitor 🔥
Middle-key the best thing ever.
at 20k hrs i am going to be doing a review AND pinging jason and mikael
does anyone have a big factory mind if i visit so i can make sure my gpu would last on late game
so i often put my hrs in for tracking and such
yo got a question, I am currently playing on my first save game still, and when I first started, I obviously didn't know abt power grids, so all my power for my main factory is spread across like legit 15 different grids. Should I redo that? Or just keep procrastinating and tell myself its good enough
dis is when i reach 19k hrs
Never settle for "good enough."
yeah, the issue is that both mod frames and steel beam are hard to make in large quantity
oh hello moon
If procrastination is your power, what are you without it?
i think steel beams are easy to make but the mod frames is the hard part out of it all
almost nearly 1 week and maybe 2 days 1.2 comes to stable 🙂
the day i get my new monitor off amazon too
the right combo of recipes helps a lot
what gpu
1660ti
There are a bunch of saves people have shared online you can try. Depends what you mean by "Late game factory"
how do i download it?
because yes, your GPU can handle a factory that beats the game
bro i have an rx 580 couldnt care lol
but I doubt it will do well with Big Booty Tom's factory
I mean I skipped automating them to my pocket
does anything do well with his?
I have 5080ti
rich
Yeah. With a couple performance-increase-only mods, I did great in there the other day
I was working with SpaceGameDev to make that factory cart station video about his mod and it was fine.
6700xt here so nothing crazy
Where to get and how do mods work? May need performance or something at some point
Ficsit.app
Ty
Yeah imagine a factory that makes 29 million items a minute. That breaks even the unreal engine but needs upwards of a TB of ram XD
@earnest condor Andrew here has locked up more saves than anyone. And on a pretty insane machine too lol
I want to say you altered the object limit of the game to enable you to build that in the first place?
whats with the one letter... names?
Andrew has literally shaped this game and helped it become what it is
Do you have OBS or other screen recording open? Discord enter streaming mode?
ohhh yeah, had to extend the UObject limit to over 500 million just to finish that one.
Also curious as to what items? Because Max Screw was like 4 million/min.
So it's not a "real" save 😛
not that im aware of
Ficsmas. The trees dont need inputs or power
Would ecc server ram work? Saw a guy use a server that had two newer xenons like 1tb of ddr4 ecc and a 4090 i think
Is there a bar at the top of Discord that says its entered streaming mode?
I have 130 ficsmas gifts in my world that I never opened
hmmmm interesting, dont know when I enabled that
Brother I have a strategic reserve of several million lmao
The built in UObject limits are barely terafactory levels though. I have maxed it in under 2hrs XD
@neat marlin you didn't. It does it automatically when you have something open that can do screen capture.
sheesh
Modded. Automatically invalid.
😏😉💛
ohhhh
I give Andrew a pass for mods. He already did everything in the base game
I don't just mean beat the game
I give no one a pass. 🙃
Cant use mods. Mainly so it helps the devs. All vanilla minus altering the engine which is allowed for them to take saves for optimizing purposes
I mean he beat the shit out of the game
@grave burrow out of curiosity, how many hours you got in this game?
Fair.
I just realized, why isnt there a steam workshop for something like blueprints?
@earnest condor you should watch his stream. If you can get past the fact that you have to look at/listen to Andrew the entire time it's very entertaining
Ohhh ok thank god. I mean if I were you id put em in the pocket anyway
@raven grotto there are plenty of websites for it.
After 2k hours, I found myself bored with normal beating the game. So I started building larger. At 10k hours I found a love for terafactories and at 15k hours, I created the first 10 million item a minute factory and now just shy of 20k hours.
FICSIT Inc. reminds all pioneers that they could be building instead of watching.
I know, but like workshop is always nice not trying to argue just made a statement thats all
por que no los dos?
English server.
Me either sorry if it came off that way. I think I like the websites better tbh. Idk if a steam workshop would work well for this game lol
insane dude, its literally like a lifestyle at that point lmao
FICSIT Inc. reminds all Pioneers that if you are not building, you are not saving the puppies and kittens.
Fair, makes sense, gives a bit more choice and freedom
I miss pre-1.0 when the game was about making fun of over-industrialization...
Instead of this "save the planet, all is peace and harmony"... 😞
jokes aside @grave burrow has a really really good twitch stream that is very unique and fun to watch
im gonna have to give it a watch, whats the user
Yeah it adds up quick. Each of my factories now take over a year to build. I just finished a nearly 9000 rocket fuel power plant after 11 months, and that only allows me to be able to just turn on the nuclear power plant that I am estimating will take a little over another year to construct. Will nearly use every node on the map at that point
I don't really watch twitch other than to say hello to friends in the community but I will actually sit and watch dummy here for a couple of hours while I do stuff because he's got a great show. Same name on twitch as on here
FICSIT wishes to remind all Pioneers that all creations, automations and buildings is property of FICSIT Inc.
insane.
OH your here
hiya andrew the guy who breaks stuff and me
yay F4 now
Yes andrew is very cool and nice person to watch and make angry in game
As a straight married man, I really just go to flirt with him and see if he's breaking stuff
i am also just shy shy of 20k hrs like 290 or 293 away
Same as my discord name XD
I love it when andrew breaks crapola
i am currently as my main project which i had to space elveator parts 200-400 nuclear pasta
oh @grave burrow i am using power shards atm got to much with no fps or 25FPS in my current world
FICSIT reminds THIS Pioneer that overcompensation is not acceptable for Pioneer’s egos.
19,708 hrs on record 292hrs away i am a big veteran player
also andrew let me ping u in a thread which i gave guru my world
Yeah I occasionally use a few QOL mods, but not for anything I know the devs might use. Only time I do stuff in AGS is so it doesnt take months to build something they want to use for optimizations or whatnot.
i did not want to do fully overclocking @grave burrow but to save my world i had to
FICSIT wishes to remind THIS Pioneer that you get paid to automate, not stand around.
Yeah I only will underclock just so I have to build more things. And its Ficsit approved energy efficient!
also something is Annoying bug maybe but with not menu open fpss is high andrew
Hey Andrew, do you have any rocket fuel I can huff?
and menu open fps is at 25fps to 28Fps
Unfortunately I only have some extra Ionized rocket fuel for the jet pack, youre welcome to a few jugs XD
Hope to see you in stream later today
LETS FUCKING GOOOO! starts chuggin
who else should i ping when i have 20k hrs minus jason and mikael
Me
So I can make fun of you 😆
uh no
Hell yeah
i loaded amega print in my world and it seems the game is pretty optimized
Is it amega disappointment like I am?
Before 20k hrs ill ask everyone who they want to be pinged @quick hound
Are you AFKing? Because that’s gay.
i am not afking
Good
You should ask someone to make a video compilation of the stuff you did in those 20.000 hours.
I am betting it would create a pretty awesome montage.
(Or do it yourself of course)
Letting someone else do it might even be more fun, they might pick some stuff you wouldn't think of yourself
All your builds
i have one main world atm which i am working on and others are my test worlds and one big modded one
ik and the one save i did was my first one that is messy and the one i started back in u3 and ya
idk who and tbh idk what the devs would do if i reach 20k hrs give me agood role or something
i already ahve nether person in here and jason and mikael when i reach 20k hrss
You better have them add like a small PNG of a lion somewhere in the map as an Easter egg for ya
idk about that yet
if jason or mikael wanna to do something i am fine but i am still good ill see for tmr and ask them
And to celebrate, snort a bottle of coca-cola
yeah get blocked. Pepsi loving fuck. (I’m joking)
maybe 20k hrs earns you a ficsit checkmark
FICSIT Inc. is not responsible for wasted time. Please touch and/or eat grass.
i don't think it is really something to brag about, lol
Anyway, goonight chat
or some roles on here but ill leave that to mikael or jason
Bro. You will have spent 2 years and 2 months IN SATISFACTORY.. WHAT THE FUCK..
What time does 1.2 drop? Midnight?
and i only take summer off due to irl heat
June 2nd 2026 at probbaly 11am EST or 12pmEST thats what i am thinking
I think you need to get the fuck away from gaming..
from satisfactory?
YES
i play from Fall and winter and spring to early days of summer before heat
2 years and 2 months of satisfactory. Gang. PLAY SOMETHING ELSE. IM BEGGING U
Ok goodnight
Never
About to finish phase 2 first time playing. I've learned so much that I wanna restart my save to avoid some logistics issues I've created for myself through not knowing what comes next. Is this going to continue to be the case throughout rest of the game? If so, any tips on mindset to future proof my setups for that?
*and general mess through not understanding how structures and grids worked early on
restarting a save is such a common thing for me on this game and other factory/tycoon-genre games, i feel like this is a fine step to make so you can use your newly obtained experience and restart the game with the new techniques you've learnt
as for tips.. i'm not quite sure what do you mean by that, could you elaborate?
Yeah, any advice on how to build my factories early in the game so that they're easy to scale is what I should've said
ah, that.. i'm afraid i can't give any tips on that because i'm the type of person that prefers to build a new factory rather than keep adding onto a pre-existing factory
because the latter usually ends up with spaghetti and is less aesthetically pleasing
Yeah I noticed that in this firts current save
Im trying to think of ways I can build in a modular fashion to avoid this and how to embrace verticality without clipping issue or weird spacing
I need to learn how to use verticality better for sure. And to think of production lies as modular
Lines
i can't really help with modular building but i can certainly help with verticality, i'll send some screenshots in #screenshots
gimme a few mins
@sleek cape #screenshots message
you can ask me stuff regarding these factories, i'm not sure what else i could explain rn
@sleek cape the most important thing IMO is figuring out a 'vernacular', meaning a personal, repeatable style you can achieve across the build.
the blueprint builder is pretty vital for this because you can pre-fab certain architectural elements to repeat
For instance this screenshot of my main base you can see my basic build style for this playthrough
I'd recommend continuing the save rather than restarting
you can keep existing factories and build new factories elsewhere
which is just kind of boxy buildings but using ramp walls and a 45 degree wall at the corners for interest
actually yeah, the blueprints, those are hella convenient
I have a blueprint that helps me repeat the 45 degree wall exactly, and another one for the 45 degree corner of the foundation below it
then I have the top 4m of wall replaced with 1m wall sections that I paint different colors based on what the factory is producing
this gives it a little visual interest without being extremely annoying to repeat all the time
once you establish a pattern you can make variations, like this aluminum factory (biggg version of box) #screenshots message
or this nuclear pasta building (box with a more boxy-box sticking out of it) #screenshots message
then inside the aluminum factory, for instance, I have all kinds of spaghetti nonsense, and get verticality with multiple internal floors and stuff like constructor stacking
1st floor garage / materials depot, 2nd floor production, 3rd floor drone depot / product export
@proud tinsel if you're on steam you can hit F12 and then go to steam and right click the screenshot and do copy to keyboard
Not sure how to do it on epic 🤔 but the photos you take with photo mode are also stored somewhere
The photo mode also has a button to directly open that directory in your file explorer
Ooh thanks !!
Copy that

wow thanks devs!
its under settings btw! I didnt know that either cool 🙂
Can I hide markers (I mean the named one) individually?
I really shoudl start trains...
Me, meanwhile, redoing for the third time all of my road blueprints...
@warped crane just saw your response. Solid reply ty
Is there any way to set up the intensity of ceiling lights? I'd like to use them but they are way too bright by default.
Wouldn't it be cool if you could underclock them to adjust brightness
Are there limits to the number of blueprints one can have?
personally what do you guys do with empty fuel cans
Sniff them
ive just been stacking up containers lowkey
And yearn for full ones
connect them to a light controller
same with all lights that can't be adjusted individually
... Ooooh. OK, I didn't understand we could do that. Thank you very much!
you will want them on an isolated electric grid that is only connected, ultimately, to the output of the light controller
OK, makes sense, I understand the logic behind it. Thank you again!
and then you can hook different banks of lights to different light controllers to adjust their settings independently
like one for interior and one for exterior lights eg
I'll look into that as soon as I'm done (wasting my time) setting up my blueprints roads 😄
Also discovered the night mode for street lights. Me gusta.
When is 1.2 full release?
June 2th
Thanks
hmm, reminds me I need to call my ISP about the contract change before 29th
Would anything break when i convert my save to 1.2?
we can't know.
but it shouldn't
Oh, right: what about the waypoints? Do they get reset? Or do the old and new systems will co-exist?
vehicle paths will be converted to a special type of new vehicle path that can't be edited
I was planning to redo them all (I don't have that many trucks to handle), but good to know! Tyvm!
Ruining jumps and stuff was the big mistake here. That was the most whimsical form of logistics
are you temporal illusion on reddit? You have the same very clear documented bullet points answering structure
nope
that just means he's secretly AI
very advanced ones then because they both been talking like that before 2022
Yeah basic consumer AI would never block me on discord. It would just tell me how great my repetitive memes are. That's how you can tell how advanced it is
do enyone want to play with my Satisfactory im New to the Game and i am from Switzerland
!lfg
Hello there totally awesome user! You can checkout https://discordapp.com/channels/370472939054956546/1201555265942724758 and check the pins on how to find folks to play with. <3
Ive had some sound bug since a few days. Saw the reddit post redirecting to the discord. I cant hear ADA or the mercer Sphere conversations anymore and cant get fix it. Uninstalling, steam repair and everything tested. On new file, the audio is there but on my most progressed world, its gone. Any workarounds?
have you check #1038092680493801533 for similar issues?
i think there is a setting option for ADA banter as well
http://questions.satisfactorygame.com/ would be a good place to look too
check audio settings if the volume been turned down
On audio settings, its on max. When interacting with something that triggers ADA, I get the first half second of dialogue and then the audio disappears
couldnt find something similar
certain in game actions will remove the dialogue audio
Nah you're thinking of temporal illusion on discord. He's temporal illusion on Reddit
tremendous find
Awh! But I made a path that jumps off a cliff and resets itself! It’s so funny watching 200 factory carts doing the great cart migration in real time
But the game crashes at 131 carts migrating
🤨
Mine didn’t.. or I forgot to put autopilot on a couple.. haha..
sounds like a skill issue
That is okay. Skills can be learned. For many folks it is a talent issue and they are out of luck.
you're amazing and talented and I believe in you being able to migrate 132 carts one day
is the zipline sound that plays when you first start holding it the same as the backpack sound from poppy playtime?
you should catch a live stream and ask lol
lol yeah
Any ideas how to find all my overslooped buildings?
I know they have the colored smoke but like, anything better?
the save editor might be useful to you, but if you have multiple floors of machines overlaping, probalby not
Lol ty. My entire set of progress from tier 2 to where I am now (2/4 of 4) is all in a tower
yeah you're probably going to just have an easier time visually looking over things
another reason I don't bother with sloops at all
if everything was flat you could probably scan with your mouse pretty clearly with the interactive map, but with lots of floors that'll be obnoxious I think
Alright thanks
I definitely need them, but it'd be good to have the indicator go purple/pink rather than blue
it is a purple haze around the machine
blue is for over clocking with shards
sloops don't change the machine light colour
and you can always just process more machines wit hresources
🧠
?
Blue light = overclock
Purple smoke = somered.
pURPLE hAZE WRAPPED AROUND MY BRAIN
I got nothing on that reference.
aCTIN FUNNY AND I DONT KNOW WHYY
I'm old lol
I just play guitar 😂😂
whats the best fuel for trucks?
yeah sloops are a purple haze and shards give you a blue light
define best?
imo plutonium rods
yellow fuel or better
the one you have access to. then the one the fits your needs
coke actually isn't bad either, but the fuels just extend the effective length of the loops that trucks can travel
Is anyone knowledgeable in trains? Im making ny first train based mega base i have all of the main lines built around the world with stations, i just had a few questions about train behaviour, optimal mass item/multi item unloading systems, ways to stop stations from getting all clogged up and stuff of that sorts
yeah sure
Depends
Perf thanks so much
there's equations on figuring out throughput - but you can also eyeball it pretty well if you know the return time of the train as well as how much items stack to
If you want to keep it simple? trains go A to B and back and forth. Platforms don't actually have much throughput
as for getting clogged, if you're using the items they should never get clogged as long as the final output is sunk
so if i have 1 station tho, how would i optimally harvest 4-5 different types of resources? from that station
well depends on throughput coming in. You could have 4-5 platforms , 1 for each resource
with trains if you want solid answers you really need concrete questions
with details
the 4-5 platforms answer is... fairly vague because I don't have much to work with
its an answer, but it might not be a great answer depending on details if you catch me?
yeah im gettin it
Afternoon all I am new to the game
I see online a lot of videos about factories and setups but at what tier would you start worrying about this kind of thing? I just unlocked tier 2 and tbf haven’t even ventured out from where I landed
so the things that would help you narrow down how you might get a clean systems is
your belt speed
the parts per min you're moving
the return time
what items it is youre moving ect
on teh reccieving end youll need to make a storage floor that the trains unload into this keeps the train platefroms unloading at all times
beyond that what Cobalt said
it all depends on how you view the game
imo the milestones are all kinda a tutorial until you unlock everything and play a sand box game doing your own thing. More like mine craft
yeah what beefalo is talking about is buffering both ends of loading and unloading
take things one step at a time, Dont worry about future proofing. Just enjoy it.
Youtubers and streamers need to keep ppl watching you do not
each of my trains are 7 cars long, so 6 cargo platforms. Would it be optimal to kinda smart splitter that into the coresponding belts back at the mega base? so multiple different train can unload at the same platform?? Id be moving raw or next to raw resources
honestly I'd just take your time, learn how to do various thigns (probably avoid tutorials , you won't learn as much and there's a lot of misleading things on youtube) and just ask some specific questions on here if you feel stuck 🙂
so as mentioned, each platform doesn't have much throughput
if you have 3 trains coming in and each car you're unloading is about 1 full belt of throughput? it'll get clogged
realistically, you are unlikely to move much more than 1 belt per platform
If you are new to the game I would 100% genuinely recommend stop watching online videos and just play it for yourself.
and if you're up to mk6 belts, you're probably unlikely to move more than 1/2 a belt per platform if it's full
(unless you have multiple trains on the route)
im going to tap every single resource on the planet im assuming
honestly? you're not. Your computer will catch on fire before you can process all of it
Would tractors colliding with each other when crossing paths ruin their path following or would they continue as normal
plus if u do ull always compare ur progress with others so the fun of progressing on ur own jst goes and its just imitating what others do
In 1.1 they will teleport back.
In 1.2 they won't collide, they will deadlock.
in 1.1 trucks will reset themselves and shouldn't interfere with flow
people really be googling how to play minecraft
Why is oil so far away
I have a 5090 Astral and 9950X3D2 in my pc if u genuinely think it’ll blow it up im going to be thoroughly impressed ive been tryna find a game to slow this thing down since i got it
It's fair if you never played before
not everyone has got a 5090
yes, it'll be minutes per frame before you get there.
im not gloating im asking a question lol
You'll get to minutes per frame WAY quicker processing it all in one spot as well
Awesome
You get free labor now!
the game forces you to branch out
yes
Define "far" when you can have automated delivery of anything at regular intervals?
It's cus i'm already using the closest oil for power
wow thats insane and theres no like optimization mods i could install? or like Graphics card settings i could chang to optimize it?
thats is true
Far: something that is not close
I need petroleum coke for aluminium
Relevance of distance in a game that cares only about throughput when you can have automated delivery from anywhere to anywhere at regular intervals?
they really gotta start shipping games with user manuals again huh
nah, it's just not intended to use everything
all the resources are there to give you lots of options and paths to do different goals 🙂
in that case i’ll do as much remote processing as possible and do all the multi item crafts in house i wanna at least try to beat the game out of the mega base before it crashes
It's still annoying to set up an ugly ass belt highway
Why in TF would you set up an ugly ass anything when you are the person choosing to build and can make it not ugly ass?
even if you drop your graphic settings to nothing, and make hubs spread out over the map you'll have massive issues before you can process everything through to tier 9
it's just going to come a LOT sooner if you do it in one spot
Broski. I just need petroleum coke for aluminium, and it's like 3 belts, i'm not making a pretty thing for 3 belts
We are not related.
And that is... a personal choice to make it look ugly ass 🤷♂️
I am awaiting the day I turn the 100 HMF factory on. Its 2000+ machines running in one spot lol
wow i mean i could upgrade to a dual CPU system if u think that’ll get me somewhere I can just put it as a tax write off
Also a personal choice to belt it when you have other options.
I mean... the phases aren't much of a 'challenge' and you can finish the phases with a small fraction of the world resources. Easily.
after that it's mostly about whatever personal projects you find fun
okay sounds good
I need it quick, if i want to make it look good i'll make it look good later
It's a problem for future thal
that's not actually too bad. Unless you have quite an old pc you should be ok honestly
I'm not tooooo up on how all the processing works , but afaik I think it's still mostly single thread processing or something? But not an expert on that
you'd have to ask someone like @spice patio
they are probably the techiest person about this game on the server
Which might make things worse.
As the main limiter is the main coordinating thread usually.
So high-frequency AMD X3D CPUs are currently the best at running the game.
Because it just loves that extra cache to minimize cache trashing.
No idea if that new 9950X3D2 with dual-X3D-CCDs would be any better than 9800X3D or 9950X3D with frequency CCD disabled, or worse from the cross-CCD latency.
❤️
yo i just set up my monitor arms... having only one monitor with dual arms SUCKS
i have no idea how to space ts out
only 9 days till my new one comes anyway
triple moniter gang rise up
and 9 days till 1.2 no?
Only 3 monitors? How can you tolerate so low amount?
how many do you have then 🤨
6
what do you do
fahh i didnt realize how big a 27 inch monitor is going to be.... i will have to go one vertical one sideways
play satisfactory probably
ultrawide monitor mogs
i like the separation between the spaces
ok so what do you do with all of them 😄
for my 3 its usually discord/devtools on the left, docs/lesson in the middle, code on the right
Depends, right now: Spotify on top left, Discord on top center and top right.
Irc on left, reading book on center, watching youtube on right.
you read, listen to spotify and watch youtube at the same time?
my plan for when my new one comes in is to take my current 1080p 22" monitor and make it vertical on the left with my new 27" on the right horizontal, dont have enough space for double horizontal
i have 1 monitor but I use niri so it feels like 5
At times I have 6+ SSH connections at same time + other stuff, etc.
because im NOT putting my pc on the carpet and I have a standing desk so not like i would be able to put it on the floor anyway
i would benefit from having at least one of them vertical but unfortunately only the newest, the middle one even supports that
how so?
like why doesnt it support vertical? do you not have arms i assume?
arms?
monitor arms
imagine mic boom arms but for monitors
no, they are not attached to my desk or the wall, just on their stands
rotational freedom + tilt freedom
can you use rails to transmit power or do they only accept power?
Transmits, can output from any station.
so when I get my new monitor on the second, I will take off my current and rotate the vesa mount in order for it to be vertical
oh shit fr
only hard part is figuring out if I want the bigger lip to be the left or right
i dont have a lot of space anyway
i think the hoverpack does draw from rails though, which is quite good for building around your tracks
IKR this is so annoying
i hope to get a equal seam monitor for a vertical setup some day
ya\ll here with your fancy arms and setups
Hey Baldur. I wonder what would happen if I bit the zappy licorice chomp.. AAAAAAAAAAA
rail connection points, to be specific, and its buggy too
my guy u also have 3 monitors
2 of which are old pieces of garbage?
i might be the one with the simplest setup lol, its a 165hz single monitor on an arm
literally 2 decades old
still 3 monitors i mean
ikr
u dont need all of them to be fancy
mines an old work monitor of my dads, ill probably have the bigger one to the left since the monitor is to the left making it seem like a smaller lip in total
if the main on3e s good then u can have whatever as second monitor
ik what i mean but it sounds dumb
i dont, but its still a basic setup :p
fair enough
the type of monitor to my left you could probably find from a landfill for free these days lmao
any of you have experience with OLED monitors?
my new monitor going to be so nice I hope its perfect... bought it from amazon refurb so
i've heard they're better for competitive gaming like 165hz OLED may be better than a 240hz IPS
i saved for couple of year on my setup, got an ultrawide and a second busted monitor for spotify discord and to watch some stuff
apple music on top 🔥
oled is like the only right choice if ur loaded with money
u shouldnt even be considering other types if oled is one of ur options
ah man i should have been afking while doing all of this
its like 400 EUR oof 💀
thats underpriced
good ones usually start at 600-800 bucks
so how does 100hz feel compared to 60? never used anything higher than 60
if you are coming from an old TN panel, IPS is a big upgrade
its night and day honestly, once you get used to it you cannot look at 60hz the same
tbf u could feel a difference, not day and night difference but its smoother
cant speak for 100 exactly, i use mine at 120 sometimes, when i can, its pretty nice
I think ADA wants me dead
above like 144 though I wouldn't really invest in unless you're into competitive gaming
i think even the switch from 60 to 90 is huge and noticable
i dart between 60 and 120 and i got used to it idk
I went from a samsung galaxy s8 to a pixel 6 and it was insane
noticeable ye but i dont think huge
not all games even support rates over 60
I bought a 100hz 1440p 27" KTC IPS for 83 bucks off of amazon refurbished so
you will definitely feel the difference
wha idk of any that don't
and I can always go 1440p 1080p FSR as my rx 580 will NOT handle this game at 1440p
fromsoft games, snowrunner, off the top of my head
I have kinda of stupid question. I've been trying to figure out my T junctions for trains. I've watched several youtube videos and they all say to put blocks at the entry and exit points. When I do that, all I get is error saying that it loops on itself. Am I missing something simple?
anything that has physics tied to framerate
ah right
not really though
most games have seprate framerate for rendering and physics
well, duh
the physics "frame" rate is called tickrate
minecraft 🤓
sooo many source games have a fixed tickrate but variable framerate
i am talking about games that are built in that way, not the particulars
maaan do I build another 16 coal power plants for the love of the game
ah, yeah most fromsoft games are insanely easy to run because they have tied the two together
never played any of theirs
my friend made me buy ds3 a few years ago, maybe I will finally try it
where do you recommend a person who is new to souls like should start?
and sekiro, that one is my fave
I love the parrying and dodge mechanics in valheim
ah yes boutta have 32 coal plants runnign
elden ring for rolling around, or DS3, Sekiro if you want the best melee combat in probably any game ever
if i had grabbed more RIP before heading agh
with constant deflects
since I already have ds3 ima try that
but yeah ive heard many good things aboutr sekiro, perhaps when it goes on sale
I think they removed regional pricing, I was able to buy it at 16 EUR iirc
peak xp
now its 25 EUR on sale
i should replay it, but there is just too much stuff to play
cough keyresellers
took me 40hours to realease ive been playing on 1.0 instead of 1.2 😭
its so, so good though
perhaps you could DM me a few you have experience with (allegedly)
games are like the one thing I don't like pirating haha
because to me, steam does not have a service problem
i do have a good site for doing such a thing
my favorite site for that in fact
if you need to catch fish, use a net instead of a pirate ship
Fg or pb
SR for games
🤔
I'm missing something important I feel.
Oh, well with that context.
I mean this as disrespectfully as possible:
🤬 pirates.
"You sing" "noted" lol
i'm on console and need some help with fluids. Is there any way i can share my save file or if not what would i have to provide if i made a oost in questions and help?
What is wrong with your fluids?
dehydrated huh
provide ample screenshots of your setup
I don't support game piracy but I think it still helps the game when people pirate it
made a large computer manufacturing factory yet my oil isnt being pumped to the 16 refineries. I have over 1000/min being extracted yet it powers only 5-6 refineries. Tons of pipeline pumps yet it still screws up somehow
lovely, will make a thread then. Thanks
because the people who do pirate it never intended to pay for it in the first place but since they got to for free, they can atleast tell their friends or talk about the game to increase exposure
🤬 no.
There is no 🤬ing world where piracy HELPS video gaming.
st rip?
that is some cope and justification for stealing :p
Stealing for survival I understand and appreciate.
Video games are not necessary for survival. There is no 🤬ing universe in which stealing them is acceptable behaviour.
11bit studio wouldnt be here if not for piracy
If that statement is accurate, I would say 11bit studio shouldn't exist.
so many people pirated mouse of the dead men or sm
that he gave free steam keys, to the priate communtiy and went mega viral
stealing means someone is losing something for your gain. nobody is losing anything with piracy
they arent gaining anything either though, and that's unfortunate
🤬 pirates.
And 🤬 anyone who supports the pirating of video games.
Back to happier topics please.
this would be an interesting debate if you actually had any points
There are no points to be had.
someones internet provider banned them becuase they priated sm
There is no justification for doing it.
I would genuinely stab eyes out with a fork before pirating a video game.
i doubt a african child will buy a game using thier months wage isntead of food
Games are not necessary for survival.
idk tho
a problem is that many times price isnt perportionate to income
then why are you in this server
That comeback has nothing to do with the topic at hand.
exactly, and regional pricing often does not exist for triple A titles because of the greed of the studio
But I'll do what I should have done in the beginning and just block because "actively supports piracy of video games." 👍
cant blame them, cause you jsut exploit it like they did with vbucks
honestly even coffee stain to some extent overprices their games in countries like Türkiye or India
good boy
what 11bit studio is doing is good
giving free steams keys time to time
pirating has its flaws so it isnt perfect
yeah there are many such studios who do it during streams
some pirates font pirate all games like silksong
imo if you can afford them, you should pay for indie games
ye i have a 2dollar limit
but sometimes pirating is worth it as the repacks are so much more efficent
like eurotruck sim or forza horizon
I have like a 15 EUR limit since I got a job, but yes any limit is a good start
for me its not the money
i wont pay for a game ill play aa little. and might aswell use the money for sm else
thats fair, its good to hear different takes on piracy
we can all agree fuck triple A studios weather we like piracy or not haha XD
so would double the threads not be better? both cpus need to be the exact same as eachother for the pc to boot anyway so there shouldnt be a limiting factor in that aspect
what other takes
unless i completely missed the point of ur statment which is entirely possible
just generally what im seeing in this thread
lol
I think the person they replied to was talking about a dual CPU system
The game has two main threads, one for game processing, another for rendering.
And then variable number of workers.
But even on 6-core, you usually hit the single-core limits for those main threads first and the actual total CPU usage starts to go down, instead of up from that point onwards.
As the game cannot use more CPU power, and is single-thread performance limited.
is this a UE5 thing all around? I swear because i have a weaker cpu all UE games run pretty bad
its because fortntie is dying
Same for that cache-trashing.
More threads, more trashing, worse performance in many cases.
i get like 70-90fps in satisfactory with minimal lag spikes on a ryzen 5 3600
affects ue5
As those threads compete for cache space, and cause more RAM accesses to replace stuff back into cache that another thread evicted to get its stuff into cache.
And those increased RAM accesses just decimate the performance, as they are so slow.
Which is why X3D CPUs have so much better performance over the non-X3D counterparts in Satisfactory, and several other simulation/factory type games.
Actual number crunching software is coded to not cause cache trashing.
Games usually aren't.
And on AMD dual-CCD parts, the latency for communication between the two CCDs is about same as the RAM latency.
So if two tightly-coupled threads end up on different CCDs, the performance just tanks.
i just have a r5 5600 and rx 580 running medium 1080p at 60 fps no problem
And for multi-socket systems, those latency issues are even worse.
I read that as "multi-rocket systems" 😁
Between the different sockets, and the RAM on other sockets.
Which is why NUMA-awareness is so important for software running on such system.
Where RAM connected to the other CPUs is much slower than the RAM connected to "own" CPU.
Same for that cross-socket or cross-CCD communication, so you want the threads working on same stuff to be as close neighbors as possible to minimize various cache-coherency etc. latencies.
Anyone have a link to the interactive map?
Many of the so far UE5 games have misused Nanite etc. in a way that causes excessive CPU usage all the time from doing things that the devs should have just done once themselves.
Just going by the marketing material, instead of reading the actual documentation type thing.
ok so this was very helpful, now im gna throw something out there it might be dumb, would it be possible to have 1 cpu get allocated all the data from lets say the north and east sides of the map and 1 for south and west that would reduce how much the cpu’s talk to eachother reducing latency
Where marketing for Nanite was that it does the LODs for you.
The documentation tells that you must downscale the artist models to highest LOD version, and Nanite will do the lower down LODs from that.
And many UE5 games just have those excessive detail artists models in, and Nanite is working overtime to try to scale those down to something game usable.
Devs would need to code such things, so realistically no.
I gotta read up on what nanite actually does
but yeah I remember there were a few such features that were misused or overused and caused insane lag
anyone know of a way ro remove a giant boulder that is on top of this coal vein?
so if i had super duper smart computer guy make me a mod it woukd work?
