I seen with a miner and a smelter both at 100% and the miner backs up. 59 was a better flow. And 60 for smelter or you would eventually get extra and back up. A Mk 2 I think at 60. Was wondering if fluids had that little "Grace period" of randomness at same settings?

I'm not sure I'm parsing your message correctly, but it sounds like the Smelter wasn't running all the time, causing input to pile up

No, it was early on. Smelter didn't back up just didn't process 60 like both were set for. Seemed to be round 59.75 only so I put it at 59 now and it runs good. Been a while since I been there though. Building a train and power corridor round this place.

Just one smelter at 60 w/ 2 constructors behind it. A mk 2 miner at 60 will eventually fill the belt to the smelter. At 59 it's good. On a crappy impure iron node.

I set up a blueprint with 2 industrial storage containers into a dimensional depot and a belt out for overflow to a sink, I slap one of those down into the end of every production line, more or less
So if the depot runs out I can go to the container and grab a few stacks
for things like iron plates, concrete etc... I have several dimensional depots so the upload is as many time faster. works very well with a storage beneath and a mk3 conveyor lift
Usually I only need to do that for like, concrete or steel beams when I'm putting a ton of foundations down though

It's a bit of both. I don't necessarily want to just do everything myself, I want the community aspect of figuring things out like we used to back in the day. But yeah the content creation solved meta is kinda frustrating for a lot of games. you can use "quick switch" once you're in the cable tool and it'll keep using whatever you switched to for further clicks
but also, you probably want to keep using mk1s. Mk2 poles make for a spagheti mess of cables

You know what would be cool? A hub module. basically a square module that can be snapped to the grid but built in a way that it integrates into existing builds so you can actually integrate it in other builds. In general the one thing I am missing is more ways to make the place an actual home for the poor pioneer.

Like generally furniture and such would be such a lovely thing to have. I know you can approximate beds and couches with some trickery, but I rather would love to have a beach house you know. After hundreds if not thousands of hours the pioneer has a right to that I think 😉

Quick check on numbers Germany had roughly 210GW which is very much achievable in Satisfactory.
Basically the neutral on transformers provides a return path for unbalanced loads, the power lines themselves don't have a neutral but I'll admit my knowledge at distribution/domestic level is shaky so I'd recommend looking it up ;P

the game's also a giant tutorial, take it slow and pay attention, and just try stuff out. You'll pick things up as you go, and if you get hard stuck on something, you can ask questions about it

it's a common trap to get caught up in rebuilding old stuff because it can be better, because it can always be better
so it's instead good to take those new thoughts and learnings and apply 'em to your next factory
I fixed up my beginner factory but it was only to make sure things all went to storage and the overflow went to a sink, cause stuff kept filling random containers and stopping production
I think that was worth it but even then I'd probably be better off just progressing and sinking better stuff from a newer factory, not like you need a ton of awesome shop stuff
The part I think is silly is everyone says they're doing it to "increase efficiency" but is actually just trying to make it look subjectively better

guys, say I fuel my drone with plutonium fuel rods (pFR) and a roundtrip consumes less than 1pFR / min. Will it consume 1 pFR everytime it gets to its home port, or it'll hold onto it for as many roundtrip the pFR can last?
As far as I know it'll continue to use that power source until it runs dry
They it will consume another from the ports fuel supply to continue functions when it can no longer make another trip on the previous input

if I have some fuel gens splitting off a pipe, then at the end have a pump that goes up to a fluid buffer, the fuel in the buffer won't be able to flow back down cause of the pump? need the pump further back?

at best they do nothing at worst they ruin flow

its cause a pipes flowrate is related to how full it is, if you have a buffer, it wont fill (or if it does it doesnt help anything) so your pipes wont get good flowrate
I guess if I let all the pipes fill up before I start anything it doesn't really do anything except delay the inevitable if my math was wrong

I just got into trains and the signal are really confusing. They all say signal loops int itsealf ore some work but the others say the same that signals loop into itsealf..Is there a way to fix it or do i have to redo all my rails? If it help im on the new exp branch

I just finished tier 3 and i'm omw to setup a coal extractor. I wanna move base becauase the place where i'm at right now is bad, it has a single coal source and its on a floating island (which has no water on it).
My criteria to find a base for tier 4-5 would be finding a location with some water and either a pure coal source, or a few normal nodes. Is this a good strategy?

Can I tank the radioactivity damage to build a mk1 drill on the uranium node, then make it so that everything it mines is fed into a SINK for those coupon points?

It's decent points per item if you're doing it early game. It's not a huge amount of items though so it doesn't scale super well

Theres a mod that turns iron ore into biomass, biomass into protein, and ofc, the usual protein into 30 dna capsules per minute
the 1.1 goals aren't a super big number so just have a couple per minute knocks it out pretty fast

I once had a steady flow of 300 thousand DNA points per minute with that mod before I stopped using it

funny enough, best reinforced iron recipe in your taste of "smaller with bigger output" asks for screws, which goes great with steel screws recipe. 
I use the recipe with wire because unlike screws I can make wire from the ingot straight away without having another step in the middle

yes just for just that save, AGS is basically "cheat mode" stuff that prevent you from getting achievements during that save
You need to move it from your DD to your inventory by hand still I think but it can go into the DD
