Process the uranium waste into plutonium rods then sink the rods instead of feeding them into more reactors. Otherwise you end up with plutonium waste that has to be turned into ficsonium which is even more complicated

Just putting it out there in case anyone else didn't know.
When applying colors, you can use the same item- lock-switch (G) as use you use while selecting/dismantling stuff.
Makes it easier to apply colors to only a row of buildings and not also every 3'rd foundation.

The first caterium is very easy. Just convert all of it to ingots and make one or two constructors for quickwire. Then figure out the rest later when you want ai limiters or whatever.

When I build my setup that required canisters, I diverted oil to a couple of temp constructers that was clocked and slooped to mass produce canisters. Enough to feed my loop (fed through a storage container with a few stacks extra for buffering). Once done, oil was put back into main production.

If you plan your builds right, you can just upgrade the old and not need to tear anything down--that's my preference

Simple example:
You have a rich iron node at your start location, but you haven't unlocked much yet.
Build your first smelter on some foundation in front of the miner. Your first constructor in front of that.
When you unlock splitters, expand to the left of that splitting (if you're standing at the miner), you can build a 2nd smelter now.
When you unlock Mk2 belts, expand 2 more smelters to the left and upgrade the main belt that feeds the manifold.
When you unlock Mk2 miner, upgrade the miner, then expand right of the splitter.

I'm pretty sure you get Mk3 belts by then, but you'll need to upgrade the main line to use a Mk2 miner.

Likely there is an item, tip of a beam, or whatever, that is in the line-of-sigt near the tower. So your're technically seing a "shadow" from the rader.

One thing to keep in mind, nitro rocket produces compact coal as a byproduct which isn't used earlier in the loop, my approach used the results to feed a nearby foundry.

Back then it had to be hand fed into the burners as there were no belt attachments and it took over 90hrs to fill all of them. It really was a proof of concept build not really for anything practical. After 90hrs of feeding them then turning them on, it only lasted like an hour XD But now biomass can be belt fed into them so quite easy to automate the whole process other than gathering up biomass from the map

That's another question that doesn't really have a definite answer. Trains aren't magic. They have a capacity and they take a certain amount of time to get through their route. Of course one single wagon cannot handle moving 2400 items/min across the map.

The easiest way to estimate throughput is to assume 1 full belt per platform, and then you add trains until it's enough throughput. And then stop adding, because extra trains that aren't necessary are useless at best and actively harmful at worst

But trains are consistent enough that you can calculate it, if you want. In that case, the wiki has most of the info you need
